Awesome stay at the best hotel in Mindo. Thanks to Marco and team for the superb service, always quick to respond to any enquiry on WhatsApp even before I arrive. He also arranged a driver to pick me to/from Quito, who came in a 4 door 4wd but despite limited English, was really nice and drives safely. Location is convenient as they can always call for a taxi which arrives in minutes and going to town is $3. Birdwatching-wise was good in the hotel, I saw 20 species in 2 days with 2 toucan species, bronze winged parrot and crested guan particularly memorable for me but hummingbirds are few. The room balcony is very productive but the upstairs main lounge has different variety of birds. I stayed in the luxury cabin which is on a more secluded and slightly higher area than the deluxe cabin. Generally very quiet except for odd moments where loud music can be heard for a couple of songs in day time and also for some reason at around 9pm the dogs bark for 5-10 mins. But overall, very relaxed and restful stay and definitely recommended to stay here. The saddest part was not staying longer.

The entire property is beautifully maintained, quiet, and filled with elegant touches that make it feel both luxurious and welcoming. The staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly professional. They offered excellent local recommendations and always treated me with kindness and care. The location is ideal—tucked in a peaceful part of La Mariscal, just a short walk from Plaza Foch and some of Quito’s best restaurants and shops. My room was quiet, stylish, and very comfortable, with a serene garden view that made me feel instantly relaxed. Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. The entire experience felt safe, polished, and perfectly cared for. If you’re looking for elegance, cleanliness, and world-class service, Hotel Villa Lafayette is simply the best choice in Ecuador. I would return in a heartbeat!

The room is very large and beautiful, the floor height is very high, the roof is very beautiful, in the city center, surrounded by attractions, breakfast is OK, continue to live here next time

The service and care I received from Old town suites Quito is the best that I ever received for all the hotels I have stayed. My flight arrived at Quito in the early morning around 6:40am, I got to the hotel around 7:40am, hotel front desk employee Francisco took my luggages, provided me power cord to charge my phone, and even gave me a delicious breakfast. I felt I have been welcomed into my new home in Quito. The hotel provided milk, yogurt, bread, juice, cheese, eggs, ham, vegetables and fruits for making breakfast yourself or you can tell them ahead of time and they can prepare breakfast for you. I have had amazing experience in this hotel. The hotel location is great and you can walk to old town attractions. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quito.

I stayed at ibis Hotel Quito for a three nights and really enjoyed my time there. The hotel is clean, modern, and in a super convenient location — close to restaurants, shops, and easy access to main attractions around the city. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or give local tips. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed — comfy bed, good Wi-Fi, and hot shower (which I really appreciated after a long day out!). Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, and the coffee was great too. The hotel also felt very safe, which made my stay even more relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience — simple, comfortable, and excellent value for money. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Quito

The reason I booked this hotel was because of the superb reviews. I can confirm the accuracy of those reviews. This is a fabulous place to stay. The staff are great. The facilities are exceptional. The restaurant is wonderful and has such a variety of delicious food. The health pool has crystal clear water. My room was much larger than what I'm used to over the last five weeks of traveling. It is easy to get the concierge to book excursions. There are airline check-in machines in the foyer. This is easily the best hotel I have stayed in over the past five weeks and comes with my highest recommendation.

Staying at the Superstar Hotel in Quito, Ecuador, is definitely one of the wisest choices for this trip! From the moment you step into the lobby, you can feel the hotel's intentions high-rise space with warm color lighting, local artists' oil paintings on the wall, cleverly blending modern design and Andean cultural elements, instantly making people feel more intimate about this plateau capital. The booked view room exceeded expectations. Open the window to the red-top complex in Quito's old town. The Pitchcha volcano in the distance is looming in the clouds. You can get a flowing natural picture when you open the curtains in the morning. The room is fully equipped, the smart TV can be connected to the mobile phone to cast screen, the details such as a kettle, a mini refrigerator and other details meet the needs of long-distance travel, and the bedding is so soft that people can sleep in the bed, completely offset the fatigue of the plateau travel. The most surprising thing is the hotel's service. The front desk lady is fluent in English, not only quickly checked in, but also took the initiative to send a Quito map, marked the must-see church, market and observation deck with a highlighter, and even carefully reminded the precautions for altitude sickness. Every day when you go out, the door will greet you warmly, and it will be recommended to wear it according to the weather. This feeling of being valued is too warm. The breakfast type is not huge, but it is exquisite. The traditional Ecuadorian breakfast ”Holvijo” (tortilla with cheese and fried eggs) is delicious, with local banana jam, sour and sweet; The passion fruit freshly squeezed juice and blueberry milkshake in the juice bar are solid enough to taste the fruit. When I came back in the evening, the lobby bar also provided free hot cocoa, a drink warmed my heart, and the dark street view outside the window was particularly pleasant. The location is also a plus. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Quito's Old Town (United Nations World Heritage Site). It is very convenient to go to San Francisco Church and Independence Square. There are also 24-hour supermarkets and cost-effective local restaurants nearby. Overall, the superstar hotel draws a perfect end to my trip to Quito with comfortable accommodation, intimate service and convenient location. If you come back to this ”city on the equator” next time, this will definitely be my first choice!

Отель не виноват что городские власти не могут обеспечить безопасность в центре столицы. Сам отель невероятный, очень красивый, очень уютный, невероятно стильно и любовно оформлен. Завтрак на веранде с прекрасным видом, сам завтрак небольшой но вкусный, хлеб очень мягкий и свежий. Что вам нужно знать: двери отеля всегда закрыты, если вы приезжаете ночью нужно предупредить чтобы в отеле вас ждали, так как этот район города не очень благополучный. Мой заезд был в 3 ночи, мне пришлось попросить таксиста стоять рядом со мной пока я звонил в дверь и пока мне не открыли, если бы я остался один мне было бы тревожно. В номере есть большое окно и балкон но его так же приходится держать закрытым из-за безопасности. Я хорошо понимаю что сотрудники отеля очень стараются чтобы внутри вы чувствовали себя в безопасности и комфортн но не могут повлиять на ситуацию за пределами отеля

The facilities at this hotel are somewhat outdated, and the decor feels a bit old-fashioned. It would be great to see some modernization in these areas. That said, the view from the upper floors is fantastic and definitely a highlight of the stay. Additionally, the breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety and tasty options. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but upgrading the facilities and decor would significantly improve the stay.
