This is a great airport hotel. You need to get a hotel shuttle bus which you will need to pay. The room was new, spacious and clean. Breakfast was buffet style with both continental and full English options. Room temperature was fully automatic and adjustable. There is a gym but it was under maintenance when I was there. The shower was powerful enough with clean towels, shower wash and body lotions provided. I also found the room very quiet and well insulated. Overall, a good hotel for short stay.

Nice hotel, You can reach it by a bus from Stansted Airport. One is free for other You need to pay 4 pounds. So it's better to take the free one, it start directly from terminal. Mid stay par car bus. Breakfast - no cheese, no ham, no vegetables so quite poor

My go to place when I have an early flight from Stansted! The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is so comfy. Breakfast is included and offer an amazing variety. The dining options are good and tasty. Some unusual lighter options are also very good.

Thought the lad on reception was a bit miserable if I am honest, however the room itself was pleasant enough, nice and clean, beds are not as good as the likes of the premier inn but was Ok. The bathroom was huge, which consisted of a huge basin and huge walk in shower and a toilet, all of which were relatively new I would have thought. 10/10 for the bathroom. Didn’t really explorer the hotels other facilities, food was expensive so choice to eat elsewhere, you can walk into the main town centre in 12 minutes. All in all the place was above average and I would stay there again should the price was good and I required to stay in that location.

From the moment I arrived I was given the VIP treatment. All the staff were helpful from helping me with the correct car parking procedure as I was running late. The meal was an outstanding five course which deserved a Michelin Star, at an unbelievably competitive price. I should have photographed at least the main course, starter & desert. Very sorry. The function room when I think about it now, was a bit on the bland side but wasn’t noticeable on the day due to the great company I was with and the wonderful band that entertained us. The restaurant area was more cosy and intimate, so ignore the bland function room. The whole hotel was immaculate and spacious with large rooms and plenty of car parking spaces. Wishing people a nice stay like myself.

This hotel is adequate enough and our room on level 1 was a good size. In nicer weather a lovely outdoors space with good view can be utilised. The restaurant in this hotel is very nice and worth a visit. The music in the restaurant for breakfast was much more the vibe I would expect with a boutique hotel (chill out Ibiza). The music the night before in the bar area was questionable (boy George) and not aligned to the following morning. The one irritation with this hotel is the fact they do not make you aware (our receptionist) did not anyway! About the parking in front of the hotel not being Free on a Sunday. On arrival we were not lucky enough find a space in the hotels carpark so parked opposite the hotel entrance. Once we checked in we asked if parking was free at the front. The receptionist confirmed it was not free so we downloaded the app and paid ( she did not make this information known on arrival). The receptionist did not then explain parking was also required for the Sunday. We were issued a fine at 08:20 Sunday morning. After paying the fine I spoke to the hotel to give my recommendation that all hotel guests should be made fully aware of parking rules. The receptionist I spoke with said she always tells people and I just confirmed that our receptionist did not. When I left on the Sunday with my fine I counted how many other cars also had a ticket. The number was 10. I do not believe this hotel is doing its best to inform guests which leaves a question mark for me. I personally won’t be returning as I feel other hotels in Southend area have the edge and the fine has left a bit of a negative experience that could have easily been avoided.

This is a really lovely hotel with very good amenities. My only moan was that the car park is strictly pay no exceptions £4 to park your car at a hotel where you are staying seems a bit wrong. Although it wouldn’t necessarily put us off going again there are alternative hotels in the area that have free parking for guests.

The reception in the George Hotel was staffed by a friendly receptionist. Meals are taken in that hotel. The St Nicholas is just across the road and is clean and tidy. The room I was in had a nice terrace with a table and two chairs. The room was good with a lovely bed and a clean bathroom. One facility that is not often available in hotels was a room safe. Great if you are there for a longer period.
