We stayed for 3 nights in a Privilege King Room. The room was a good size. The bed was very comfy; the duvet was slightly too warm. The TV was an impressive size. Wi-fi could be a lot better. The shower had good water pressure. The room came with empty bottles of conditioner and body lotion. We didn't use the swimming pool facilities, but they looked impressive. The bar was reasonably priced; 2 bottles of Rekorderlig for £8, cheaper than our local. Staff could do with a major attitude change. We mentioned to reception that we were missing items from the bathroom (conditioner and body lotion), and the receptionist told us that they would bring some up. They still didn't bring this, so we mentioned it again later on. We were advised that they had spoken with housekeeping, who had advised that they had refilled the bottles, which they hadn't. We ordered housekeeping for the following day, but they came late and were extremely rude. They didn't do much of what was needed. The floor wasn't hoovered, and the tea, coffee, and sugar were just thrown on the tray next to the kettle. The fire alarm went off early in the morning, and we were not advised of the alarm being tested. We were extremely unhappy about this, as it woke us up.

We had a spa weekend overnight stay which was a present from our family. Having read the reviews prior to our trip we were slightly concerned. Firstly the negatives. Yes it's old. Yes, it need some updating and parts of it do feel a little unloved however, we had a lovely weekend. We stayed in the main building and were given a four poster room. It was clean and tidy and had a sofa and table and chairs. The tv was huge. The bedding and towels were immaculate. Yes the room was a little outdated ie curtains and the bathroom was old but it was clean. We were greeted by two lovely ladies on arrival and firstly had afternoon tea. It was brought out by a young lady who explained what everything was. She was polite and professional and the afternoon tea was really nice. We checked in and then went over to the spa. Again we were greeted by a male member of staff who explained everything and gave us a dressing gown and towels. Both were clean and looked new. We spent a couple over hours over there swimming and having treatments which was part of our voucher. My partner had a back massage and I had a facial. The lady who did the treatments was lovely. She was very caring especially when I mentioned my knee injury. The changing rooms were clean and tidy but again old however perfectly acceptable. The male attendant was seen cleaning the pool area and the showers. The only suggestion would be more chairs at pool side as we had to wait for a while until two were free. We didn't have dinner at the hotel however the menu looked reasonable and had we not had afternoon tea we would likely have eaten in the restaurant. We slept well and went down for breakfast on Sunday morning. There was lots of choice and we enjoyed the cooked breakfast and the choice of cereals and fruit. No negatives at all. The staff were friendly and attentive. A nice weekend and one we nearly didn't go to because we were concerned about some of the reviews. Have an open mind before you go as we did. It's old and a little tired in places but we had a lovely stay. We are pleased as this was a gift from my elderly mother and we were worried she had spent quite a lot of money for something that would be awful. It wasn't.

Where to begin with this one? Firstly i requested to cancel as i was coming down with COVID like symptoms. Ramada Telford seem to not mind that though, so that request was denied (no offer of another stay, or partial refund, nothing). Felt better day of, and decided to travel. On check-in (nor on the website, photo attached) i wasn't told anything about the pool being out of service. Turns out it was. No offer of a full or partial refund. Nothing. Luckily, Trip have stepped in with a good will gesture. Spoke to some people (named below) by email afterwards and basically told ”nothing they can do” and ”it's trip's fault” that the website didn't reflect that their pool had been out of action since DECEMBER. Awful customer service, facilities not available. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Specifically bad service via email: Lis Frost & Richard Bowen
The Bull Inn

A lovely one night stay at The Bull, The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially as I was travelling with my arm in a sling, even to the point of offering to cut my breakfast up so I could eat it 😂😂😂 this was very appreciated! In my room the shower cubicle needed a better clean as there were long hairs from where some one has washed their hair and the bedroom curtains needed blackout blinds in the actual window recesses to block out the street lights, and in the recess, as people could look up from the street and see behind the curtains. Signage or more visible prompts explaining where to go to check in would also be good ! All that having been said I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others needing a short stay in the town.

Overpriced for what you get. The room is tired; a few damaged items - dripping tap, very loose door handle, toilet seat, flickering light, crumbs on the carpet. The lift isn't currently working so not ideal with heavy bags up flights of stairs. Very friendly staff, especially the ladies on the breakfast service. Breakfast offering had good options and it's a good location for being right in the town centre.
Days Inn by Wyndham Telford Ironbridge M54

At first I was a little unsure how I felt about staying in a hotel that was so far out of the way of the centre, but upon arrival, and upon finding out that the taxi services have fixed fares, it really brightened up my image of the Days Inn. Its a comfortable little hotel, that isn't trying to do too much, and is simply inviting you in for a good nights sleep, before sending you on your way to enjoy whatever you've come to Telford to do. This isn't some big established 5 star hotel, it isn't set up with large flat screen TVs to waste your time watching movies on, its got a small TV for background sound, and a comfy bed to fall asleep on. The shower has really good water pressure, the rooms are tidy and clean, and really the hotel is just a no hassle simple hotel that is just doing what it needs to do. The staff in particular are lovely people, we were greeted by Shannon when we first arrived, and she was honestly a bundle of joy. She was welcoming, friendly, and even had a decent knowledge of local events, so had managed to guess what we'd come down to Telford for that weekend. It helped that she was also a good source for local information, and was happy to help provide us with anything we needed. Sam on Nights was also a great laugh, my friend who was sharing the room with me suffers from insomnia, and so was struggling to get to sleep. However, Sam was friendly and chatty with her, and made it less painful, rather than leaving her to wander about stressing in an unfamiliar location with no sleep. The other ladies on reception were also lovely, but unfortunately I forgot to grab their names, but even the hotel manager is a cheerful and friendly person, who really makes you feel welcome. It also just felt nice seeing a hotel manager actually working alongside her staff, and interacting with guests, rather than hiding in a back office and leaving the team to handle everything. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, which met our needs perfectly, and offered a really comfortable bed to pass out on after a long exciting weekend. It wasn't our first choice, but it might be our only choice when next we return to Telford!
International Hotel Telford

This has been my first stay and it definitely won’t be my last. Having attended a conference at the International Centre, next door, it’s absolutely convenient to get there, being a few steps away. Staff at the hotel are excellent and so very helpful. Matt has been exceptional and highly recommended. Rooms are very clean and bathrooms all have walk in showers (there are no baths), multi channel tv’s, tea & coffee making facilities (tray located in the wardrobe) and excellent WiFi. Beds are extremely comfortable and offer a great night’s sleep. There is no restaurant for food (except breakfast) so you can eat at the Holiday Inn next door. Breakfast is included with all room rates and is a continental spread, with the addition of bacon and baked beans. This hotel should be viewed as a 3* for facilities, but 4* in terms of service. Having read some of the comments in the various sites, I do wonder whether it’s the same hotel they stayed in, as I couldn’t fault the staff or breakfast (for those who know, it’s similar to what you get in some Holiday Inn Express properties). Please also remember that if you are staying here multiple nights, housekeeping is only offered on check out. For location to the Conference Centre and the level of service offered, plus quality of the rooms, it’s definitely a 5 star rating from me.

A lovely hotel with a beautiful view and very quiet area for a good night's sleep. The beds are very spacious and comfortable; the best night sleep I have had in a long time. A great size shower with a seat to suit guests with accessible needs. The shower products smell great and leave your skin feeling smooth. The breakfast was very nice with many different options. I opted for a hot breakfast which was buffet style with unlimited apple and orange juice. The night light was perfect for late night reading. I would definitely come back

5 of us recently came for a Spa break including ,lunch, evening meal and breakfast. We each had 2 treatments each and had full use of the spa facilities. On arrival at Reception we were greeted by a lovely and very helpful lady who told us everything we needed to know. We checked into our rooms (3 rooms in total and they were the Superior Rooms) they were all spotlessly clean, with free Toiletries and complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We also had a gift in each room which was a bottle of Prosecco. Each room had a balcony overlooking the canal and countryside views, very relaxing. Beautiful rooms and decor with a safe, fan ,iron and ironing board. After check in we went for lunch where we had a lovely bottle of champagne to share and a Mezze Board each which consisted of fresh bread, breadstick, houmous, olives, pate, selection of meat, dips and new potatoes which was delicious. We then went to start our spa experience...again spotlessly clean facilities...Spa included,Sauna,Steam room, jacuzzi, hydro pool, swimming pool, gym, floating beds etc and a lovely relaxation room where we were served fresh fruit and fruit juice when requested. Plenty of water, green tea and herbal tea also available. We each chose to have the deep tissue massage...50 minutes each and it was absolutely perfect and they worked to your requests. The second treatment the following day we chose between us the Mud Rasul ,Massage Chair and the Floatation booth...between us we all agreed were absolutely fabulous. The whole spa experience was wonderful and relaxing, the lights in there were dimmed but enough light to see what you needed to see but made it even more relaxing a long with the calming spa music. On the evening we all went for dinner and drinks...we all had a 3 course meal...food freshly prepared and tasted delicious...empty plates all around. Breakfast the following morning was a buffet style...from full English to continental with tea, coffee and fruit juices...again very nice indeed. When we finished that day we were all given a complimentary gift each from the Spa ...a selection of lovely Toiletries and bag. The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful ,friendly and helpful staff, quality food, excellent spa, beautiful rooms ...would I recommend coming here? Absolutely 100% without a doubt...we came home feeling fully relaxed and content from our break away ...

Absolutely loved this hotel the golf course was very nice the room was brilliant staff couldn’t have been more helpful the breakfast selection / options were amazing.. that’s the positives out the way , we we’re a group off 12 so had evening meal as part off the package this was very limited with very few options, the drink prices in the two bars were ridiculous example £14.25 for unbranded double rum and splash of coke !!!!
