Delightful stay at this newly renovated hotel. Reception : staff r attentive n friendly, welcoming us with delicious freshly baked walnut cookies from their Pastry team. Room is clean n quiet. Bed is superb, the duck feather pillows r godsend from heaven. Shower is very clean, equipped with Crabtree &Evelyn shampoo & etc. Location is great. Just few min walk away from CIQ checkpoint. Must eat curry fish head at Kam Long Zai, Hiap Joo banana cake etc . The team is ever attentive, just a WhatsApp msg away for any inquiry. Probably 1 of the best hospitality among Johor Bahru hotels. Keep up the good work.

We booked a stay at Fraser Place Puteri Harbour for 3 people to celebrate my wife’s birthday and opted to pay extra for a room with a ”Sea View.” We also reached out beforehand to ask for a small birthday surprise for her. Unfortunately, the ”sea view” was a major letdown. Instead of an open, pleasant coastal view, it was mostly looking out over surrounding developments and construction with very little actual water in sight—definitely not what you hope for when booking a special occasion room. On a positive note, I do want to give credit to the hotel staff for their service and effort. They did prepare a birthday cake for my wife as requested. While it wasn't set up in the room prior to our arrival as hoped—it showed up in our fridge on the second day after we returned from our day out—we still really appreciate that they remembered and made the gesture.

This used to be my favourite hotel in Bukit Indah. However, the price of the hotel has increased but not the service, nor the amenities. The hotel no longer provides a hand towel or the slipper. All these little touches were removed, might be due to cost savings measures.

⭐ **Great Stay at Mid Valley St. Giles Hotel!** Had a wonderful stay at Mid Valley St. Giles Hotel for 2 days and 1 night! The room was comfortable, clean, and cozy, making it a perfect place to relax. The location is excellent, with easy access to Mid Valley Megamall and plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was pleasant and enjoyable. Definitely a great choice for a short getaway, and I would love to stay here again. Highly recommended! 😊✨

Fantastic family stay! The apartment is exceptionally clean, modern, and very spacious. Having a separate living area and a beautifully designed kitchen made our stay incredibly comfortable. It truly feels like a luxury home away from home. Excellent service and highly recommended for families!

I had a really pleasant and comfortable stay at Ramada Hotel Johor Bahru, especially in the East Wing room. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a long day. Everything was neatly arranged, and the bed was very comfortable, giving me a good night’s rest throughout my stay. What I appreciated the most was the overall cleanliness and attention to detail in the room. The facilities were in good condition, and everything felt well taken care of. The hotel environment itself was calm and welcoming, which added to the whole experience. The staff were also friendly, polite, and helpful whenever needed, making the stay even more enjoyable. Service was smooth from check-in to check-out, which I really value when staying at a hotel. Overall, I would say Ramada Hotel Johor Bahru is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Johor Bahru. The East Wing room in particular is definitely worth it. I would happily come back again and recommend it to others.

This has to be the worst Four Points by Sheraton I've ever stayed at 😅. The decor is on par with a 200-300 RMB budget hotel in China; only the lobby and corridors look somewhat decent. The soundproofing is abysmal. You can feel the floor vibrating when kids run and jump upstairs... and the constant hum of the air conditioning unit kept me awake all night. The hygiene was terrible; there were crumbs on the floor, and I even found a balloon left by a previous guest when I lay on the bed... The trash can in the bathroom was also very dirty... My first task after checking in was to clean the room with sanitary wipes. The only redeeming quality is its proximity to a supermarket, which was convenient for buying things.

The hotel is new, well-maintained, and offers a very comfortable stay. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. We booked a Club Room, which included evening cocktails from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The food selection was decent, and alcohol drinks were available, although champagne was not included. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices, and most of the dishes were tasty. The staff were very accommodating, regularly asking for feedback and offering to help carry food from the buffet to our table. SKS city Mall is directly connected to the hotel. The mall is new and not crowded, with many hair and nail salons, two facial salons, and a newly opened Thai Odyssey massage outlet, which was good and convenient. The hotel is also conveniently located, with a short Grab ride to the ICQ. Overall, it was a great stay. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the service was excellent. I would gladly stay here again.

Worth the Price, Peaceful Stay with Good Amenities — A Few Areas for Improvement Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Blue Horizon Suites, Forest City. It was definitely worth the price we paid to get an entire apartment, especially considering the space, comfort and amenities provided. Environment and Sea View The environment was quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and unwind. Our unit had a partial sea view, as it was located next to the lift rather than facing the sea fully. Unfortunately, the haze affected visibility during our stay, but I believe the sea view would have been superb on a clear day. The balcony was a nice bonus and a great spot to enjoy the surroundings. Cleanliness and Amenities The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The towels provided were big and of good quality, which was a nice plus. Slippers, a hairdryer and toiletries were also provided, so we had pretty much everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One thing I noticed was that Trip.com advertised a smart toilet, but the toilet in our unit appeared to be an ordinary one without any obvious smart features. Perhaps this varies by unit, but it would be good for the listing to clarify this so guests know what to expect. Kitchen and Air-Conditioning The kitchen design could be improved. Although there was an electric stove and a cooking hood, there was no conveniently located power socket for the stove. The only available socket was underneath the cabinet, but the stove’s power cord was not long enough to reach it. This seems like a design oversight that should be looked into. The air-conditioning in the living room was another area for improvement. Even with the temperature set to 17°C, it did not feel particularly cold. Perhaps due to the open layout connecting the living room and kitchen, one air-conditioning unit may not be sufficient to cool the entire space effectively. Breakfast Breakfast was simple but acceptable. The tuna mayonnaise sandwich was nice, and the boiled egg was cooked just right without being overcooked. However, the Vitagen was served at room temperature. As it is a probiotic cultured milk drink that should be stored according to its refrigeration instructions, it would have been better if it had been properly chilled before serving. Staff and Service On the positive side, the staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. Communication was easy through WhatsApp. Whenever we needed anything, we simply messaged the front desk and received prompt assistance. The complimentary buggy service to Marina Hotel and back was also a convenient touch. Overall Experience Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt that we received good value for money. Having an entire apartment at a reasonable price, together with the peaceful environment, cleanliness, spacious balcony, useful amenities and responsive staff, made the stay worthwhile. There are a few areas that could be improved, particularly the kitchen layout, living room air-conditioning, breakfast beverage storage and clarification of the advertised smart toilet feature. Nevertheless, these did not overshadow the overall experience. I would consider staying here again, especially for the value of having an entire apartment in a quiet and peaceful environment.

Warm Service but Disappointing Café Incident on 13 September 2026 I hadn’t returned to this hotel for almost two years, so I was curious to see how it had changed. Once my “home away from home,” it now feels like a mixed experience. Service The main reason I continue to return is Ms. Vimala, the Front Desk Manager. She is warm, courteous and respectful, remembers me by name, and showed me genuine kindness and support during a difficult period in my life. Her compassion, professionalism and personal attention make me feel truly welcome. She remains a major reason I return regularly for a break from Singapore’s fast-paced life. Mr. Fadhli at the café was also very friendly and recognised me, even asking why I hadn’t returned for almost two years. It was genuinely nice to feel welcomed back. Unfortunately, the experience took an unpleasant turn when Chef Norazman confronted my partner over a plate we were taking back to our room. He pointed angrily at us. We had informed the café staff, as we had done before in the past, and had always returned the plate afterwards. I understand that Chef Norazman may not have known us or been aware of this arrangement. However, his manner was completely inappropriate. He pointed his finger at my partner while reprimanding him and then continued questioning me angrily about whether I was “very sure” that we had informed the staff. There was no need for the accusatory tone or finger-pointing. I was extremely disappointed and, utterly, disgusted by the manner in which we were confronted. He eventually walked away without offering any apology or attempt to clarify the situation respectfully. A simple, polite question would have been sufficient. Guests should not be made to feel accused or humiliated, particularly when they have already informed the staff. I hope the hotel management will take this feedback seriously and address how such situations are handled in future. Rooms The rooms appear cleaner than before, and I was pleased to see Smart TVs. With limited shopping nearby, it is convenient to relax with Netflix or YouTube after a walk along the waterfront. Breakfast The breakfast experience was disappointing. The café feels tired, the floor was sticky as though rice had been left behind, and the selection remains limited with little variety. More attention to cleanliness and food choices would make a noticeable difference.Despite having a chef with a strong and aggressive character, the food has not changed a bit since two years ago. Location The area has changed considerably, with several attractions gone and fewer activities nearby. The waterfront, however, remains a pleasant place for a relaxing walk. Overall I still return mainly because of the warmth and professionalism of Ms. Vimala and the peaceful waterfront. Those are the two things that continue to make this place special to me. However, the breakfast experience and, especially, the way the café incident was handled were disappointing. I hope management will address these areas so that returning guests continue to feel welcomed and respected.
