We chose this hotel again for our return trip, this time opting for a twin room. The previous king-size bed had a very soft mattress; it would wobble with the slightest movement from the person next to us. Light sleepers should be cautious when choosing a king-size bed. The single bed was a rare find here, measuring 1.2 meters, and quite comfortable. The only drawback was that there was only one power outlet between the two beds (unlike the king-size room which had one on each side of the bed), but there were four USB ports for charging, which was a bit slow but still usable. There were quite a few Chinese guests, and the restaurant provided disposable chopsticks 😂, as well as a variety of teas to choose from (not tea bags). The fried eggs, though slow, were presented with a very elegant presentation 😄.

The hotel is apartment-style, you can cook by yourself, and there is a washing machine in the room.

The experience was initially negative, but later became more positive. This hotel lacked air conditioning. Since it was very hot in Irkutsk during our stay, we were devastated to find our room without it. Opening the windows for ventilation didn't help much, and the lack of screens meant insects would swarm into the room. Sleeping at night with the ceiling covered in bugs was incredibly frustrating. The ceiling in our room was rather low, even lower than many hotels in China, but the design was still reasonable, and we didn't encounter many inconveniences. Advantages: 1. Convenient transportation: It's easy to walk to attractions in the city center, and there are bus stops and parking spaces right outside. 2. Supermarket nearby, convenient for shopping. 3. Good front desk service. This is a relatively large hotel with many rooms and guests. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional, and offered free luggage storage. 4. The breakfast selection was fairly extensive, but it can get crowded. 5. Although the facilities are old, the hotel was clean and hygienic overall. 6. Although there was no free bottled water in the room, there were water dispensers on each floor with very cold drinking water. Irkutsk is a very beautiful city, and I would like to visit again next time.

The location is very good, the pink building of the main building is a landmark of Lizhen, and the minibus station is downstairs, and the transportation is convenient. If you live in an attached building, it is a little cheaper, health can be, the bed in the twin room is a narrow bed... If the room is on the front, you can still see the lake view. The breakfast and other rights are the same. His buffet breakfast has many varieties and good quality. ～

It's not very close to the lake, so a lake-view room isn't necessary. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, and there's a swimming pool. The restaurant has a nice view and the food is pretty good, but it's too expensive—four times the price of what you'd find on the island.

The island is a wooden homestay, this is relatively new, and it is still expanding. The sound insulation effect of the room is basically zero. On the first day, someone played songs in the early morning, and it was too noisy to count, because the front desk was not 24 hours, plus the language was not available, and the squat could bear it. There is no active room service here. Unlike in China, she needs to tell the boss that she will send someone to deal with it. There is no wifi in the room, I don't know if the boss deliberately did it. Breakfast is more general, anyway, I don't like it very much, walk to Shaman Rock for more than 20 minutes, you can swim in the lake.

Stop twice (06.10.2025 and 17.10.2025). Beautiful location - close to the airport and no noise from the road. Excellent, responsive staff - starting from the resepshne, ending delivery to the room from the restaurant. Breakfasts are great, in a cozy restaurant. Food in the restaurant of Hunters - a separate story! Huge portions, delicious food... and, for especially prudent, small guests will prepare both cash and purée with salad 🙏 Very grateful to the staff! Any request for a call to the receptor is executed instantly, without long expectations - and from the side of the waiter and from the restaurant. Thank you for your work! I will not look for other options anymore, we will stay only in the Star 🫶🏻

The restaurant in the hotel is also worth a try, the local specialties provided are very delicious and the service is very intimate. Extra items are charged separately, it is recommended to bring your own. The hotel has a restaurant, breakfast buffet, 890 rubles per person. Open until about 11 o'clock in the evening. Luggage storage is free. The staff can speak English and there is an elevator.

Check-in and check-out were smooth thanks to translation software. The room was large enough for a family of three, with two single beds and a large sofa bed, not cramped at all. Located right by the Angara River, we stayed for two days and visited Lake Baikal. Our family of three had a wonderful time!
