The hotel was very crowded, and there was a wait for check-in. However, while waiting, the front desk gave us temporary room cards so we could visit Panmen. The pool was the most crowded spot, with many coaches giving lessons both indoors and outdoors. It was swarming with people, and they splashed water everywhere without regard for others. It was only less crowded around noon and early in the morning. The breakfast was good and served until 10:30 AM. Although there was no announcement before closing, the local specialties were all delicious, and the fruit was very sweet. The only fresh juices available were carrot and cucumber. However, during our stay, there was renovation work on the floor above us, specifically floor drilling during nap time, with no prior communication. The assumption that guests wouldn't be in their rooms was very disappointing. We called the front desk to complain about the noise, and they kept saying they would look into it, but nothing was done. Eventually, my family had to go upstairs themselves to ask the workers to stop. Afterwards, the duty manager came to apologize and asked if the renovation could continue for just another hour... I almost laughed out loud. We paid to stay here, not to listen to construction noise. They finally offered a welcome fruit basket as an apology, which was also quite amusing, as other hotels provide welcome fruit upon check-in, but here you only get it if something goes wrong. Neither during check-in nor check-out were we asked if we had a car, nor were we informed that we needed to scan a QR code for free parking. It was also difficult to reach the front desk by phone, as it often rang for a long time without anyone answering.

Staying at the Shangri-La Suzhou on Shishan Road was originally a business trip, but it unexpectedly felt like a relaxing vacation. The room was elegantly decorated and comfortable, with soft and clean bedding, allowing me to unwind quickly every evening. A special thanks to Tina, whose service was attentive yet unobtrusive; whether it was guiding me through check-in or handling simple inquiries, everything was handled smoothly and pleasantly. I also managed to visit Jinji Lake, where the evening breeze, the lake, and the city lights were all just perfect, adding many delightful surprises to this Suzhou trip. The hotel consistently maintains high quality, and the service is warm and inviting. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

Wyndham Garden Suzhou **Facilities:** This hotel, renovated and opened in 2006, definitely shows its age in terms of facilities and decor. However, the grand lobby, spacious parking lot, and large accommodation corridors with an atrium… twenty years ago, this would have been considered excellent. **Service:** All staff wear suits and uniforms and are very polite. After 20 years, the service quality is still top-notch. **Location:** Everything is within walking distance. It's about a 10-minute walk to Xuanmiao Temple and less than 15 minutes to the entrance of Pingjiang Road. **Room Condition:** The facilities are old, but it's very clean. Details like the spotless bathroom, complimentary umbrella, and the neatly folded start of the toilet paper roll (easy to access) all speak to the level of service and management. I even took a close-up photo of the bathroom floor tiles – the cleanliness is evident. Before checking into this hotel, I saw quite a few negative reviews, and the fear of a bad experience lingered. However, the hotel's excellent location was too hard to pass up, so I decided to give it a try. **Overall:** The facilities are outdated, but the service hasn't dropped. It's suitable for travelers who don't seek luxury accommodation. I sincerely hope the hotel gets a renovation soon to welcome guests with a fresh new look.

The hotel's location is super convenient, with Metro Line 1 right downstairs. It's less than a 10-minute walk to Suzhou Center, and getting a taxi anywhere from here is quick and easy. Although the hotel shows its age a bit, the cleanliness is still very good. The air conditioning works perfectly, the shower water is nice and hot, and the bedding is comfortable. Every time I visit Suzhou, I choose to stay at this Courtyard.

Overall, it's a great hotel with excellent value for money. My two-day booking had different room types, but I had too much stuff and didn't want to switch rooms last minute. The lovely front desk staff went above and beyond to help me sort it out. They also offer health porridge and foot bath tubs daily, which they'll help you book and deliver to your room. This hotel is centrally located in Wuzhong District, making it incredibly convenient to get to both the Old Town and the Industrial Park. The family room with a sofa bed was very spacious, and the amenities were comfortable. The air conditioning was very quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and good quality; it even changed daily, so we didn't get tired of it over our three-day stay. The parking lot is huge, with plenty of outdoor spaces and an underground level, which was very convenient for driving in and out. We stayed for three days this time because our child is studying here, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Suzhou in the future. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and presented themselves well. Highly recommend!

I've stayed at InterContinental Jinji Lake many times, and this time I chose it again. If I had to give a reason, it's simply because I feel comfortable and familiar with it. It was peak summer holiday season and a Saturday, so the hotel was very busy. Our room wasn't ready even by 3:30 PM. After a phone call, the front desk agent promptly upgraded our room, and I'm very grateful for that! Although the hotel is a bit older, both the public areas and the rooms are very well-maintained and don't show their age at all. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living room and bedroom offered direct, first-rate views of Jinji Lake and the Ferris wheel. The dining experience at Jinhaixuan Restaurant on the 27th floor was excellent, with fantastic outdoor views and delicious dishes. The breakfast buffet quality was still great. My only minor regret this time was that, apart from the host, no one asked if I wanted tea or coffee. Perhaps they were too busy with all the guests and overlooked it? Overall, for me, the minor flaws don't detract from the overall excellent experience. I'll definitely choose to stay at InterContinental again next time I'm in Jinji Lake.

There are many hotels near Jinji Lake, and after much deliberation, I chose the Lamborghini. Overall, my review is average; it's the kind of place I wouldn't return to. Facilities: Most of the hotel facilities are quite old. The light switches weren't very responsive. The layout of the rooms in the hotel is quite confusing, with no clear signage. The breakfast restaurant was hard to find; I even had to direct two other guests who were lost. The hotel's own pool is quite mediocre, more of a 'better than nothing' situation, so I ended up going to the Crowne Plaza next door to swim. Hygiene: There were black marks on the pillow that hadn't been cleaned. Environment: The overall garden architectural style is quite unique compared to other hotels. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; I got covered in bites just taking a few photos. Also, the hotel lobby design feels a bit cramped and doesn't exude a five-star standard. Service: Most of the staff were pleasant, but a few front desk personnel gave perfunctory responses. The path to the Crowne Plaza is a bit circuitous, and while the hotel offers a free shuttle bus, they didn't proactively mention it. I only found out about the shuttle after asking. I requested a room upgrade two days in advance, even though there were vacancies, but it wasn't granted. Overall, it's not really worth it, and I won't be coming back.

For my trip to Suzhou, I chose to stay at the Crowne Plaza Suzhou, and it was an excellent choice. The hotel's location is superb; it's easy to park if you're driving, and it's a convenient distance to all the major attractions. The surrounding commercial area is well-equipped with restaurants and shops, making dining and shopping very hassle-free. Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately impressed by the elegant and grand atmosphere. The public areas are impeccably maintained, and the landscape design creates a wonderful ambiance. The cleanliness in the guest room was exceptional; the floors and bathroom corners were meticulously cleaned, and the bedding was fresh, soft, and odorless. All the room facilities and equipment are well-maintained; the air conditioning, bathroom fixtures, and lighting all worked perfectly, meeting the high standards expected of a luxury hotel. The hotel staff are highly professional. Check-in was efficient, and they were courteous and polite. Any requests or feedback were addressed very quickly. This hotel is perfectly suited for both business travelers and family vacations, offering a secure and comfortable stay. I will definitely prioritize booking this hotel again on my next visit to Suzhou. ScallopLemon~

Overall experience: For my trip to Suzhou, I stayed at the Licheng Courtyard Hotel - Shantang Street Garden Branch. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Suzhou-style private garden with pavilions, corridors, small courtyards, and lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast buffet was rich and varied. My room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, just a 5-8 minute walk to the ancient Shantang Street, and very close to Changmen Gate and Shilu business district. It's also incredibly convenient for visiting Beisi Pagoda, Pingjiang Road, and the Humble Administrator's Garden, making sightseeing effortless. Transportation: Upon arriving at Suzhou Station, I opted for the atmospheric waterway entrance: I took the West Line water bus from the south square ferry terminal at Suzhou Railway Station. The boat trip through the moat took 15 minutes directly to Shantang Street North Pier. Disembarking, I was right on the thousand-year-old Shantang ancient street, an immersive start to my江南水乡 (Jiangnan water town) journey. The video shows the hotel lobby. Facilities: Quite new. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Elegant. Dining recommendations (both located in the Shantang Street area): 1. Lunch stop | Panda Hotpot (Shantang Street Branch) This is a unique hotpot restaurant near the scenic area. The Suzhou-style fish soup base is fresh, fragrant, and rich (the tomato broth is also quite浓郁). They also offer special Gusu-style covered-bowl blind box side dishes. It's a great spot to satisfy cravings and warm up after exploring. 2. Dinner choice | Gusu Boat Feast · Shantang River View Suzhou Cuisine The window seats offer direct views of Shantang River at night, allowing you to enjoy the water town's lights while savoring authentic Suzhou cuisine. The Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Osmanthus Braised Pork are genuinely authentic. What's more, noodles and rice are refilled for free, and the noodles are scallion oil noodles! There's absolutely no worry about not getting enough to eat with Jiangnan dishes, and this is in a scenic area! The overall experience is outstanding, especially with the window open on the second floor, which is particularly beautiful. It's definitely worth a special visit.

We specifically chose this established hotel for our trip, and it was definitely the right decision. There's no flashy design; it focuses on comfort and reliability. The elevators are smooth, making it easy to get around. The beds in the rooms are just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. Staff members Harlan and concierge Gavin were gentle and patient, providing detailed explanations when we asked about directions or how to adjust the hot water. The hotel is very well-maintained; you can't tell it's twenty years old, and the hygiene standards are consistently high. Right downstairs, there's a shopping mall and Central Park, making it convenient for walks and dining. Compared to trendy new hotels, this kind of well-established, twenty-year-old local institution feels much more reassuring. Our whole family felt relaxed and comfortable, making it perfect for family travel.

A rather pleasant trip, possibly due to off-peak travel, the hotel wasn't crowded, which made for a great experience. I'd definitely come again if I have the chance. Facilities: Overall good, up to five-star standards, including a kids' club and swimming pool. However, the faucet in the room's sink was a bit leaky. Hygiene: Excellent. Housekeeping was prompt, the bathroom was spacious, and the room was bright and clean. Environment: Located next to Taihu Lake, waking up to a lush green view was incredibly refreshing. Service: The front desk staff and other employees were all very enthusiastic and provided thoughtful service. Our butler, Tommy, was very responsive, thumbs up! 👍

This is an older hotel, probably a merger of two, with classic Suzhou garden architecture, feeling quite similar to the Nanlin Hotel. The service is decent and meets expectations. There's an underground parking garage, but it seems there are a lot of external vehicles, possibly people stopping by to eat noodles nearby. This impacts the experience for hotel guests, as it is, after all, the hotel's parking lot.

Park Hyatt Suzhou - Excellent for Business, Lacking for Leisure. Hidden in the bustling Industrial Park, the Park Hyatt Suzhou appears small and unassuming from the outside, like a demure Jiangnan maiden, discreetly showcasing the charm of Suzhou by Jinji Lake. 1. Public Areas: 90 points. The public areas (P3-P11) are compact, yet the hotel is designed in the traditional 'three-courtyard' style of a Suzhou mansion. The lobby atrium, koi pond with its shimmering fish, and a hundred-year-old black pine tree create a harmonious scene. Many of the koi are half a meter long or more, their golden scales exuding prosperity. Furthermore, the floral arrangements are truly exceptional. 2. Rooms: 90 points. The front desk upgraded my room to a lake view, offering a direct sight of the Ferris wheel (P1) from the window. Starting at 50 square meters, the rooms cleverly divide living and sleeping areas. Details like the begonia flower doorknobs, Bvlgari blue bathroom countertops, and Le Labo sandalwood amenities all contribute to an air of sophistication. 3. Dining: 95 points. The dining options (P12-P14) are equally impressive. The breakfast is rich and features distinct local Suzhou specialties; both the wontons and mixed noodles were excellent. The Black Pearl One Diamond restaurant, 'Xizhou Xuan,' specializes in authentic Su Bang and Huaiyang cuisines. The Wuliangye roasted duck is a signature dish, and the salt and pepper duck bones are incredibly flavorful. 4. Service: 85 points. The hotel's butler service is meticulous. When I needed a firmer mattress due to back discomfort, they responded very quickly. However, the hotel offers fewer activities, and the relatively small swimming pool (P17) is a drawback. Overall, the Park Hyatt Suzhou is a good business hotel, though it lacks a bit in terms of a resort feel. It follows a 'small but beautiful' concept, and I would give it an overall score of 90 points.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right above a subway station, making travel incredibly convenient. The room offers outstanding views of Lion Mountain, and its spacious, open layout includes twin beds, a corner sofa, and a large desk, perfect for both relaxing and working. The bathroom is generously sized with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to take in the entire Suzhou nightscape – it truly sets a wonderful, relaxing mood. On the downside, dining options nearby are limited; to experience authentic Suzhou cuisine, you'll need to venture into the city, as there are no traditional local eateries close by. The breakfast buffet is just average, with a limited selection of drinks and a frequently malfunctioning coffee machine. However, the Japanese breakfast is quite authentic, featuring onsen tamago, natto, soba noodles, and ochazuke, which are all quite good.

Finally getting around to reviewing this, over a month later! Wow, I absolutely loved this hotel. It was my first time staying at a Vienna Hotel, and the experience was fantastic – super spacious! The bathroom was huge too! It's just a few hundred meters straight from Suzhou Station, and you can even see the station from the window. The decor is completely different from typical chain hotels; it has a millennium-era wooden style that felt like stepping back into my childhood. Even though it's older, it's incredibly clean. I am definitely a frequent traveler/stayer/eater, and I have experienced many high-end hotels/boutique B&Bs/boutique restaurants. But this time I want to say: This boutique B&B (inn) is worth my recommendation. 1. The owner of the inn is a famous Suzhou garden designer, so the taste and foundation of the inn are very good. 2. The male and female managers have a good hobby and cultivation of tea art/meditation and meditation, which adds a lot of added value and fun to the inn. 3. In addition to the good breakfast included in the inn, the inn owner will also invite customers to join their private lunch and dinner, which is very authentic Hunan cuisine, which is simply a unique and exquisite dish in Tongli. 4.
