Although this is an old hotel but I would say it is much better than many new 4 star hotel in term of room amenities and cleanliness. Especially the free drinking lounge at the firth floor which is huge, quiet and clean.
Furthermore there is direct limousine bus to this hotel from Nagoya International Airport.
Location wise it's just 400m from Fushimi station and this make it easy to travel to most of the tourist attractions.
The only downside is the room we booked is a bit too small for 3 adults with 2 medium luggage.
I will highly recommended this hotel for those who plan to visit Nagoya!
Great location 👍🏻
Good to stay as we are morning flight have to check in 8am next day and the hotel free buffer breakfast are serve on 630am 🤠
By walking distance only 10min from hotel to reach international Airline check in counter.
Once we reach hotel lobby while doing check in trough kiosk & there’s already many airport trolly convenience us to use from lobby to our room, also next day till airport check in counter as we have many luggage & boxes 📦
Highly recommended to all if travelling on early morning flight, u will definitely have good rest peace of mind.
Room are spacious, clean & comfortable bed.
Lobby free welcome drink is great too 👍🏻
Will definitely stay again when flight back from Nagoya Airport 🥰

Nagoya Marriott has an unbeatable location with seamless access to trains and buses. The rooms match the online descriptions perfectly, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to all travellers. One minor downside is that guests need to pay an extra fee to use the swimming pool.
The hotel is close to JR station, within 5 minutes’ walkable distance. The outlook of the hotel is very attractive. The staff of front desk is nice and helpful. Highly recommend to stay for vacation if you intend to visit Anjo.

Pros:
1. Good location
2. Comfy bed for rooms with 2 beds (twin *2 set up)
Cons:
1. Slow insufficient elevators to tansit from lobby at 24F to 7F or 1F (to get out of the building)
2. AC vent blows right in your face (pic 1)
3. Do not book their kind bed room as it is not an actual King bed. It is very misleading to sell king bed room when it's actually 2 beds pieced together with a thin mattress cover. (And the mattress cover is made to hide the twin bed from direct view)
4. Like others said, the sides are too small to quickly get out of the bed. Have to shuffle to the bottom of the bed to get out.
Fell asleep in the middle of the bed, felt weird but was too tired and passed out. Woke up with sore back from the bed and sore drybthroat from the AC blasting in my face all night. Took a look and it seemed like a king bed (pic 2), but it felt weird so checked again and found that its not a real king bed, but 2 bed pieced together with mattress topper wrap to appear like a king bed.
I felt cheated that I was sold a room with king bed but it was not a real king bed. I expected better attitude from a 4 star hotel especially it is a newer hotel and in Japan. This action is a violation of Meiyo (honor) and Shokunin (craftsman) ethics.
Pic 4 & 5 & 6 helps explains it from a third party view (I wanted to make sure what I felt was not biased or due to personal preference, so I double checked with google AI for ”third person” perspective)
In summary: Selling two bed pieced together as a King isn't just a ”hack”—it's a betrayal of the Wa (harmony) between the maker and the user.
A fantastic, luxurious hotel with excellent facilities and an incredibly comfortable night’s sleep. From the moment we arrived, everything felt polished and well thought out. The onsen was a real highlight—relaxing, clean, and a perfect way to unwind after a long day. The view of the castle from the lobby was absolutely stunning and added a special touch to the overall experience.
The room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with thoughtful amenities such Nespresso machine made the stay even more convenient. We especially loved having a private balcony with seating, offering a beautiful view and a great spot to relax.
Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay, and we would definitely come back again.

Great
GGuest UserA very satisfying stay.
1. The front desk staff were excellent, very quick and professional with the check-in process.
2. The breakfast selection was rich, though at certain times it could get a bit crowded and require a short wait, but this was a minor issue.
3. The room was spacious, clean, and offered great views of Nagoya city. This definitely deserves a big thumbs up.
4. There's a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is only 5 minutes away, which is incredibly convenient.
Every aspect of my stay was great, so of course, I signed up for a membership.
AAnonymous UserMy main goal for this trip was to get some good rest, so I specifically chose a room on the side away from the main road and booked a more expensive top-floor room. Before checking in, I even requested a corner room, hoping to have no neighbors on either side, but the hotel said they couldn't arrange it, which I totally understood.
In terms of soundproofing, if you're on the top floor and not facing the road, it's genuinely very quiet overall. With the windows closed, you basically can't hear any outside traffic or even the normal activities of neighbors. The only exception is if there are kids next door running around loudly in their room, then you'll definitely hear some noticeable noise. I experienced that firsthand this time.
However, for those who prioritize convenient transportation, this hotel might be something to reconsider. It's not particularly close to a subway or train station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. If you're dragging luggage, especially in summer or on a rainy day, it can be quite a struggle. In comparison, many hotels near stations in Nagoya offer excellent value for money.
I chose this place purely for the peace and quiet and the quality of rest. From that perspective, it completely met my expectations. If I visit Nagoya again and my primary goal is still rest, I would likely choose this hotel again.
Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to travelers like me who value sleep quality and a quiet environment.
GGuest UserThis hotel is conveniently located on the 15th floor of Nagoya Station Gate Tower Mall. Floors 9-10 house Bic Camera, and Uniqlo and GU are on the 11th floor, making shopping incredibly easy. There's also a popular restaurant on the same floor that often hosts lively events. You'll even find a pharmacy and convenience store on the same level.

YyujunmjiangUpon check-in, as there weren't enough rooms available due to the holiday, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a park view room for free. The room came with an open balcony facing the park, offering fresh air. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The hotel is located in the heart of Nagoya, right next to a subway station. It's just one subway stop from Sakae, and three stops from both Nagoya Castle and Kanayama Station, making it incredibly convenient. From the hotel, you can easily walk to major shopping centers like PARCO, Mitsukoshi Department Store, and Alpen Outdoors, and there are many great restaurants nearby. This is definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Nagoya for sightseeing, shopping, or attending concerts.
AAnonymous UserI had high expectations for this hotel, as it seemed to be the best in Nagoya. However, the overall service felt inferior to a four-star hotel in a smaller city. I've always experienced exceptionally friendly service at other hotels in Japan, which was often a pleasant surprise. It's not that the service here was bad, but it lacked the standout qualities I've encountered elsewhere. It was just average, and the price was significantly higher than hotels in smaller cities. As for the facilities, they feature a classic European style popular in the early 2000s, which differs from current mainstream trends. Nevertheless, the overall facilities and environment are quite good. A major plus is the direct access to a shopping mall and the subway station from the hotel downstairs. Overall, it's not bad, but personally, I found the value for money to be low.
GGuest UserI have always enjoyed IHG indigo properties in Japan and this was not an exception. Great amenities and wonderful landscaping surrounded by beautiful gardens. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. However, do take note that the location is not that convenient and requires a 10-12 mins walk to the nearest subway, not the most ideal if your flight is very early or traveling with young children.
KKaka696924This is a local Japanese hotel chain. The facilities are decorated in a Japanese style. Although it opened many years ago, it's still very comfortable overall. The rooms aren't huge, but they have all the necessary functions. For dining, the hotel has buffet, Japanese, Chinese, and French restaurants on the first and second floors, and the quality is consistently good. The location is very convenient, not far from the Sakae shopping district and the subway station. There's also a direct bus from Chubu Centrair Airport (NGO), so everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment is within reach. The service was excellent. Although there was a slight hiccup where our luggage was taken by mistake after we checked it, the hotel staff quickly arranged to retrieve it, and it didn't cause any delays.
Ttravellinggurliethe room was a little small as expected from the typical japanese hotels , but it was fine as we were only there for a few nights.
we absolutely loved the location though! we came just at the end of cherry blossom season and they beautifully decorated the lobby w florals. very peaceful area and within walking distance to sakae shopping area.
bonus : the airport bus drops u right by the hotel which was so convenient!
GGuest UserThis might probably be the best hotel view we have stayed so far in Nagoya! We were deeply impressed by the stunning day & night scene - where we could view the entire Nagoya city through our eyes:)
We even have tried out their morning and dinner buffets on L31, both were far more than just up to the mark, and likewise, we were able to catch the best view of Nagoya there.
We were well taken care of by the front desk and room cleaning services. Though the gym room is a lil bit tiny, it's neat and tidy and the equipments are well-maintained - overall, it's a highly effective workout space. And not to mention that the availability of car park slot within the hotel building was adding some extra points, especially for us with a young kid.
Highly recommending this hotel👍🏻
