Todo muy correcto en su sitio. Muy cuidado. El exterior con parking gratuito. Ofrecen cafe agua y zumos gratis . Todo muy a laano. Volveremos sin duda. La playa en coche a 5 minutos Gracias

Struttura nuovissima (aperta a fine luglio 2022) in zona periferica in prossimità delle trafficate tangenziali di Santander. Spazi comuni ampi, colorati e molto gradevoli, staff gentile ed accogliente anche se la giovanissima età tradisce in qualche occasione la poca esperienza. Stanza non molto spaziosa e piuttosto essenziale con la trovata, tanto scenografica quanto scomoda, della doccia a centro stanza e solo il wc in uno spazio piccolissimo separato. Andando in bagno potrete provare la stessa esperienza degli astronauti in una Soyuz. Buona l'insonorizzazione ma ogni tanto qualche sirena si sente. Il riposo comunque è stato perfetto ed anche i letti sono stati comodi. E' stato difficoltoso trovarlo nonostante google: l'ingresso è in una via secondaria dove però non c'è un cartello; basterebbe aggiungere un'indicazione per segnalare l'ingresso. Noi abbiamo fatto tre giri (delle tangenziali e santo navigatore!) prima di capire dove fosse l'ingresso. A due passi c'è anche una fermata bus. Parcheggio privato gratuito attorno e sotto la struttura ma non saprei se ci siano spazi sufficienti per tutti gli ospiti. Aria condizionata molto problematica: ci sono i termostati in camera ma non funzionano o non sono abilitati, quindi l'aria è gestita camera x camera da un pannello alla reception a cui abbiamo dovuto chiedere tre volte di accenderla, poi abbassarla e infine spegnerla x la notte perché rumorosa e fastidiosa date le dimensioni ristrette della stanza. Molto negativo Non abbiamo provato la colazione ma tutto sommato ci è sembrato un buon punto di riferimento per uno stop&go in prossimità dell'aeroporto dove effettivamente non ci sono molte alternative a Santander mentre non lo consiglierei a chi visita la città. Sicuramente la gestione giovane ha dei punti di miglioramento ma la struttura è di buon livello

We didn’t look at so many other options when looking for an overnight stay (we were on our last night of 17 in our camper van). Silken Coliseum jumped out, looked like it was what we needed… and it was! We had lunch in the restaurant as it was a little too hot to go for a wander. It was excellent, as was the hostess. Bit of a language barrier as our Spanish is limited. But the food was as good as we had eaten all trip.

Elegí el hotel Faranda Alisas de Santander porque en las imágenes parecia un buen hotel acompañado de un precio adecuado. Al llegar al Check ing a la 13:00 nos dice el empleado Jorge que hasta las 14:30 no podemos entrar porque estaban a falta de personal de limpieza. A las 14:30 nos hace entrega de la tarjeta para acceder a la habitación, pero al llegar nos damos cuenta de que no era una tarjeta la que abre la puerta sino que una llave bajamos para solicitar aquella llave y con tal desaire me dice que tengo que esperar ya que esta atendiendo a un cliente, después de un rato me hace entrega de la llave de la puerta. Al entrar a la habitación si se le puede llamar así porque era un zulo con una única ventana que daba a un patio el cual estaba repleto de heces de palomas. Os podéis imaginar nuestra sorpresa al ver tal asquerosidad. Bajo a decirle que eso no era lo que habíamos contratado ya que ese lugar no valía 104€ la noche. Nos ofreció otra habitación la cual era totalmente igual la única diferencia es que en esta habitación si tenía una ventana que daba a la calle y por lo menos no te daba la sensación de estar en una cárcel. Por cierto volvió a confundirse en esta última habitación era una tarjeta la que abría la puerta y no una llave. Bajamos para decirle que ya que no nos ofrecía otra solución pues que nos conformábamos con ella. La misma empleada de la limpieza le sugerio que nos podía dar una habitación mejor a lo que Jorge respondió que NO con gran rotundidad y pasotismo, el cual me indigno y por tanto solicite una hoja de reclamación, porque si no te apasiona tu trabajo no te da derecho de ofrecer un trato pésimo a las personas que acuden allí para desconectar porque yo había reservado para pasar una noche increíble con mi pareja, ya que, era su cumpleaños y lo que recibimos fue un mal trato. Las demás empleadas tanto las recepcionistas como las empleadas de limpieza fueron muy educadas y agradables y solo por ellas volveríamos pero mientras siga el empleado quita ilusiones no volveremos a posar ese hotel. Por eso le doy una mala reseña porque personas como Jorge no pueden trabajar cara al público si no eres una persona profesional para realizar bien tu trabajo. No hemos tomado fotos de la primera habitación donde había heces de palomas porque queríamos irnos de allí y encontrar otro hotel pero nos dijo Jorge que no nos devolvía el dinero, por lo que no nos quedó otra opción que pasar la noche allí.

From the outside the hotel doesn’t look like much but the interior more than makes up for it. Welcomed very nicely by staff and was easy to find our room. Room was a great size and lay out and the bed was incredibly comfy. There were always staff available if needed but we didn’t have any problems. The hotel was in a great location and the beaches and restaurant were lovely.

Buen precio muy cerca de Santander y del aeropuerto. La habitación muy correcta y limpia. Comimos en el restraurante un chuletón espectacular!! Todos los productos son de sus propios campos y de su ganado. Quedamos muy satisfechos.

Room was a great size and lay out and the bed was incredibly comfy. There were always staff available if needed but we didn’t have any problems. The hotel was in a great location and the beaches and restaurant were lovely.

We were impressed with this hotel on arrival, nice common areas, parking onsite (albeit a tad expensive), good location/setting, easy checkin, clean room. But two very important things this hotel needs to get right… (1) The dinner service. They had one (very hard working) waiter doing everything, the result was a v long way even for a menu. We couldn’t blame him as he was doing his best but just couldn’t keep up. To add, the restaurant is outside in a temporary building which may be lovely in the summer but was not quite so glamorous in the rain. We were amazed the waiter had to keep going in and out (in the rain) to get drinks and food, utter madness…. Especially when there are large areas inside the main hotel not being used. We felt really sorry for this guy and as a result didn’t order starters, more drinks or desserts as it was just too painful to watch. (2) The hot water. We had none, just not good enough. We wouldn’t stay here again for the above two reasons, limited time and travelling require decent service and hot water as standard.

Hotel situato in una posizione eccellente, vicino al centro della città dove sono i negozi, ristoranti e la vita notturna e di fronte al mare. Le spiagge sono raggiungibili facilmente anche attraverso bus (fermata di fronte all'hotel). La camera molto carina, pulita, con tutto il necessario. Unica pecca la camera singola è veramente piccola, il bagno invece è ampio e con una bella doccia ma manca il bidet (presente invece nella doppia).

Una experencia maravillosa, el hotel impecable, limpieza, comida, comodidad, atenciones, y el valor añadido del personal tanto de Rosalia y su compañera de las mañanas como Eva y Ma Cruz de Cocina y restaurante. Hacen de tus vacaciones que todo sea fàcil, agradable. Sin duda no solo repetire si no, que lo recomendaré. Felicidades Costa Esmeralda por el servicio y saber hacer seleccion de personal. The setting is in a pretty Spa village. The hotel is quite a big hotel and modern with lots of marble flooring. The Reception staff spoke some English and were friendly and helpful. Our room was a Junior Suite on the third floor. It was spacious with a large bed which was a relief after the cramped uncomfortable cabin we had on our trip over on Brittany Ferries. The decor is on the bland side but the view from the windows more than made up for this. We were the only English staying in the hotel but this was fine as we managed with a very helpful Restaurant Manager to work our way through the menu in Spanish. He also advised us to go in the Restaurant as the buffet room was going to be very busy. The food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good too and had a plentiful selection. On our second night we ate across the road at their large cafe which has a nice outdoor terrace. The attraction for us was that we were able to eat earlier than the 8.30pm dinner service time that operates throughout Northern Spain. No English was spoken but we managed with helpful waiters and Google translate! The hotel is well known for its Thermal Spa Complex. We decided to try it despite no English spoken but again we managed with helpful staff and Google translate and managed to understand what we were supposed to do. This included wearing a swim cap provided by the hotel! It was a great experience and thoroughly therapeutic and relaxing. We had a good overall experience at the hotel and slept well. We would definitely stay here again even if it was only for a night passing through on our way south.

A Santander abbiamo scelto più che altro per la posizione, che qui è stata veramente molto felice. Poi avevo chiesto il posto auto, con possibilità della ricarica elettrica, ed ho avuto anche questo. La camera era bella ampia e comoda, con un bel letto ampio e bagno persino dotato di Jacuzzi, che non abbiamo però usato perchè ci sembrava piuttosto vetusta. Il realtà tutto l'edificio pare aver avuto tempi splendenti, magari 40-50 anni prima, perchè l’arredo è di quell’epoca anche se tenuto benissimo. Anche gli ospiti del Hotel ci sono sembrati degli habitué, piuttosto attempati. Avrebbe benissimo potuto essere un Hotel per un film da Woody Allen. Unica nota stonata è il Ristorante. Eravamo stanchi e non volevamo sbattacchiarci nel cercare un ristorante (che abbiamo trovato la sera seguente e non lontano). Cena rigorosamente NON PRIMA delle 20.30, salone vuoto fino alle 21, tranne noi, con un silenzio surreale. Pietanze da menù molto poco accattivante, diciamo che per essere in Spagna avrebbe potuto essere meno turistico. Pazienza. Hotel consigliabile per la posizione, non rientrerà tra i nostri desideri per tornarci ma gradevole per stare un paio di giorni a Santander, città molto bella e meritevole essere visitata.

Having stayed six times at this hotel dating back to 2015 we decided to stay again as we wished to be near Sardinero. We have not experienced any of the issues identified by previous reviewers in any of these visits, in fact quite the opposite, the staff were welcoming and the rooms were in decent shape and always large. The price was high but for the luxury of a senior suite I was prepared to pay over the odds. On arrival we were told that no senior suites were available and we had been upgraded to the Imperial Suite. Sounds good, but here the good news ended Issue 1 the whirlpool bath didn’t work. Reported to reception and was quickly attended by the maintenance man who after breaking the tile to access the motor reset fixed the problem! Issue solved - nope. It lasted 20 minutes and then tripped all the electric. On reporting to reception the switch was reset but no whirlpool bath. Ok, we’re not here for the bath and having been offered a move the next day at 12 noon we decided to stick with the room as otherwise it appeared ok. Issue 2, the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. It wasn’t so warm anyway so we tolerated this. Issue 3, at around 5 am it became clear there was multiple pigeons roosting in the roof space above the bed therefore couldn’t sleep until they stopped making noise. Should have moved but we are quite tolerant. Issue 4, around noon time the noise from the AC was so load we had to trip the electric breaker to stop it. Again we should have moved. Issue 5, on night 2 we were again awake for a significant period because of the lift continually moving even in the middle of the night. Issue 6, on night 3 again the lift was not moving up and down almost constantly. This seems to be the overnight cleaner moving items to the storeroom, and guess where this is, next to our room 601. I politely asked receptionist to ask the cleaner to stop and she said he was going home now so it would be ok. She couldn’t move us as there were no other rooms available. On approaching the hotel director the next morning she was aware of all the issues even knowing that the lift was noisy and kept people from sleeping. I was offered a free breakfast which I refused purely because there is no soap in the toilets and this is being used by waiters and chefs to prepare and serve food. After much argument I was told they would refund me the last night stay, still not received it though. All bored by now no doubt. This hotel had deteriorated badly in the 7 years we have visited. There are so many easy fixes to make it better but nobody seems to care. Lights don’t work - replace bulbs AC noisy - stop it vibrating Bath doesn’t work - either replace the motor or borrow from another room given the Imperial suite is the best room in the house Lift - get an engineer Noise - stop the cleaner working all night making noise No soap - buy soap The list is endless, we won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either. Lovely hotel, very well located in Santander with everything in walking distance. Immaculately clean, very nice rooms especially the superior doubles and the staff at reception were very helpful. There is a really nice breakfast room and a small bar, with a lovely outside area of seating. Unfortunately the aircon was off for the whole hotel (broken or switched off we didn't quite get to the bottom off) for the full stay and it was unseasonably very hot especially for the upper floors that caught the sun. To be fair we were compensated with a price reduction. Take care if you catch a taxi from the airport (c.E20) as we were all initially delivered to the wrong location as there are other hotels with similar names. Make sure you give the taxi driver a clear note of the name & full address. Overall a nice stay and we would go there again.

Recently stayed in this beautiful town on our Camino adventure. The hotel is somewhat olde world and while some reviews I had read were quite critical of the state of the rooms and indeed the service, that was not our experience. Hotel is located one block back from a magnificent beach which has a 4K promenade. Check in was seamless and receptionist was very friendly. Our room was a decent one, clean/ quiet albeit we could have done with aircon as weather was quite warm. While breakfast was served on site (typical continental breakfast), there was no facility to eat at night ( staff however provided decent recommendations). The town has multiple bars/ restaurants within 5/7 minutes walk of the hotel.

Nuestra estancia en la Hospedería Villa de Castro fue fantástica. El personal (Montse y Mario) es maravilloso, muy amables y con una atención personalizada y profesional siempre que lo precisábamos. En cuanto a la hospedería, se encuentra super bien localizada a escasos metros de buses y del centro histórico de Castro Urdiales. La habitación era perfecta para 3 personas, limpia y con un precioso ventanal. Muchísimas gracias. ¡Sin duda repetiremos!
