Great Hotel near by Airport (200 Mitter from TIA international Terminal) with clean room with good service. Room was like a five-star hotel with full amenities. ( I can't believe myself) Staff are well trained. Food was delicious and price is reasonable.

Especially the hotel staff's hospitality is wonderful. They were always kind and very supportive. Even we arrived late night due to our flight time and process of immigration, they welcomed us with warm smile and helped to carry our luggage to upstairs. Recommend to stay here.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel during my trip to kathmandu. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the impeccable service and the luxurious ambiance of the hotel. I am on the tail end of an 18-night stay at the Lakhey Hotel in Kathmandu, and I can honestly say that it has been WONDERFUL. I've gotten to know many of the staff, and they all are warm, friendly, and gracious. The hotel has only been open for a couple of months, and it is spotlessly clean, kept that way in part by one of the hardest working housekeepers, Sumitra, that I have ever seen. The staff head, Rajesh, and his assistants, Raj Kumar and Ram, who also multitask with cooking, greet me every morning with a warm welcoming. They all will make you feel like you are part of their family. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, off a busy street, and conveniently located near the touristy Thamel area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, rather upscale, but very economical. The hotel does not have a restaurant but provides a GREAT breakfast that is way beyond what they call a ”continental breakfast” that one would get in America. Freshly cooked to each guest, it includes eggs however you like them (I loved the omelet!), freshly cut fruit, veggies, potatoes, toast with butter & jam, juice, & coffee or tea. And there is a restaurant right next door for other meals. I had never stayed at the Lakhey Hotel before, but I can highly recommend it, and I will surely return in the future. Enjoy your stay ... you won't regret it!!!

Amazing experience. This hotel is exquisite. Clean, modern and beautiful. Rooms are great. Shower and towels are very good quality. Beyond this, the service was outstanding. Birim (reception desk) was the most polite and helpful employee I have seen in a long time. I also met Sky, one of the owners and he was also very kind, nice and helpful to us. Vastu Boutique Hotel is a no-brainer.

I had a great stay at this hidden gem in Thamel. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after exploring the vibrant city. The hotel's strategic location in a quiet corner of Thamel ensured a peaceful atmosphere, offering a perfect balance to the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. Air con has heat facility No deposit required on check-in Toiletries provided Cons Some noise depending on your room location - dont stay in 107 or room directly above the kitchen/restaurant No safe for passport, cash etc in room Breakfast area isn't particularly clean i.e. dirty table cloths/mats Poor standard of fixtures/fittings e.g. gaps in windows and doors, curtains dont quite close right, dirty shower curtain, the rooms have seen better days but for the price its still good value. No coffee or milk in room (or 3-in one) No phone charging point near the bed Bathroom mat was old and dirty, no floor towel Tips: take extra passport photo if you intend to get a sim card at the airport, unlimited data one with nepal telecom cost me $10 - signal was mostly ok. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

Jhapad,Rohit, Bikash, Nisto they are very kind and professional. They always checked if the food was okay and asked if he needed anything. Thank you for your care. Thanks to them, I was able to have a comfortable meal. I totally recommend the hotel breakfast restaurant.

I liked the warm hospitality but the service could have improved more. Wi-Fi couldn’t get connected the whole night and amenities were not sufficient. Shampoo and body soap are the most essential things that should be available in the room. Overall, it was a good experience and staffs were good.

Very friendly service at front desk. The best feature of this hotel is the lovely well maintained tranquil garden situated in the center of the building. It was a pleasure to sip a capuccino from the cafe situated next to the garden. Unbelievable for us having not visited Kathmandu in 20 years the arrival of good coffee A very short and interesting walk takes you to the bustle and noise of the Stupa. The room was adequate but like many rooms at this price point the only place to sit was on the bed. Our room had A/C but fortunately did not need it. The bathroom was clean but hot water only came intermittently during our stay. Management were helpful and always tried to fix the problem. Wifi likewise was a bit hit and miss. Sheets were were on the thin side but typical of hotels at this price point in Asia. Overall would recommend.

My parents and I had an opportunity to stay at this wonderful Harmika Hotel for a month. We chose this hotel as we had numerous positive reviews from our friends and families who were aware of this hotel's first class service. Our stay was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Food was excellent and most importantly all the staff at the hotel, and the manager, were warm and welcoming at all times. Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire team. Harmika Hotel will no doubt be the choice of stay for us in the future too. We would strongly recommend it to everyone. Serene Oasis in the Heart of Kathmandu My stay at Shambaling Boutique Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the peaceful Boudha area, this hotel provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The tranquil ambiance, lush greenery, and beautifully maintained gardens create a serene environment that feels like a home away from home. The rooms are impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with all modern amenities while maintaining a warm, traditional charm. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering personalized and attentive service throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the in-house Lungta Restaurant, which serves an exquisite blend of Nepali and ******* cuisines. Every meal was a delight, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and presented with care. The Himalaya Thali, in particular, was a standout! The hotel’s proximity to the iconic Boudhanath Stupa is a huge bonus. It’s just a short walk away, allowing easy access to one of Kathmandu’s most revered sites while still enjoying the peaceful seclusion of the hotel. Shambaling Boutique Hotel is truly a hidden gem that balances luxury, culture, and tranquility. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone visiting Kathmandu. I will definitely return on my next trip! This hotel is fantastic. It is clean, accommodating, and in a great location. It is within a 2 minute walk from the Boudha Stupa (the area where they shot some clips for Marvel's Dr. Strange). Because of that you will find lots of restaurants, shops, and coffee houses (try the Himalayan Java Restaurant). But the best part of the trip was interacting with the hotel owners. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were quick with a nice cup of tea or coffee and enjoyed making conversation. I learned a great deal about Nepal from them! Several times they arranged taxi's for us, being willing to communicate with the taxi drivers. The breakfast was delicious (eggs, toast, potatoes, fruit, and beans). I don't know why anyone would stay anywhere else when visiting Kathmandu!

아침에 호텔 옥상에서 스투파를 바라보며 아침식사를 하고 날씨가 좋은 날엔 히말라야 봉우리들도 보이는 멋진 뷰를 가진 호텔입니다. 스투파 바로앞. 걸어서 30초 위치가 아주 좋아 새벽에 일어나 스투파를 돌며 기도하는 행렬에 참여하는것도 좋은 추억입니다. 호텔 서비스가 바로바로 해결해주고 메니저가 한국에서 일했던 경험이 있는 분이라 한국어에 능통하셔서 더 편하게 묵을수 있었어요. 네팔은 에어컨 있는방이 많지않으니 예약시 확인해보세요. 전 에어컨 있는 방에서 6일 묵었는데 아주 편했어요. 거실도 있고 욕실도 넓어서 자그만 아파트에 묵는 느낌이었습니다. 저렴한 가격에 편리한 써비스 좋은 위치. 아침도 포함한 아주 괜찮은 숙소였어요

Life is about the good people you meet along the way, The Boudha Inn family took me in, provided a hospitality above and beyond, a great place to hang my hat. The inn has comfortable accommodations, banana pancakes to die for, I did yoga on the roof and is close to everything I enjoy about Katmandu. We visited nagarkot for christmas eve and stayed at lapsi tree resort which was a little regret. We stayed there and visited Mystic mountain next morning for breakfast and we ended up staying one more night in Nagarkot. It has a beautiful backdrop and lots of extra activities. Staffs were very professional and friendly. Food was amazing and over all environment was very pleasant.

Was able to make a video. Cannot post that one on Trip app. For this trip to Nepal, I had a driver scheduled ahead of time to make the drive up there in the dark easier. Pay extra if they stay or go down. No need to leave the property, but lovely locals in both road directions. It seems lots of people take their motorbikes up. There’s even college students and bus groups. Some vacant and less expensive hostels, but this location has everything needed. I think it’s a good night or two to stay. I arrived dinner and stayed two nights. All employees wonderful. Binod said Hotel can help arrange driver, but the bus also comes up. Sunrise depends on fog. Good either way.

Good mountains view for early morning, must visit in Nepal is a hidden gem of a place gets a real cold here. The tourist mostly skip nagarkot but it's. Ot a place to be missing by the way. Must visit

Customer service was satisfactory but rooms were not clean. Had a strange smell. Bed sheet and blankets were smelly too. I recommend you to please change bed sheets and blanket sheet after each use and keep a room freshener spray inside. Morning view from the hotel was absolutely amazing.

It’s pretty basic but that’s reflected in the price, the staff are great and it’s a beautiful location. Rooms were clean but not heated but we were warm enough with the duvets and the bar and restaurant is good. The courtyard offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains and forest. The only negative was that the shower was poor with terrible water pressure – but then it is up a mountain so couldn’t really complain. Despite that, I’d be more than happy to stay here again. There’s not a huge amount to do in Nargakot apart from admire the views and go for walks. With a young family, trekking wasn’t an option, but we did do the nature trail which was relatively easy going and took about an hour and a half (with a stop off for a beer and a Coke). Trail starts at the bottom of the hill, just before the school. When you get to the road at the end of the forest section, turn right and it will bring you back to the hotel.

This was a very good hotel with a touch of antiquity. The rooms were very spacious with all the necessities. The hotel decor was good and the external appearance had a heritage look. We were received, checked-in and the bags etc. transferred to our rooms very quickly. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The Reception area had a warm and friendly look with a show case full of books on the side. The food was excellent and tasty. A wide array of items were offered in the dinner and breakfast buffets. The service was efficient and excellent. Weather permitting. it has an excellent view of the Sunrise. You can sip a cup of tea, relax on chairs provided on the balcony, while you experience the splendor of the sunrise. All in all, a wonderful, heart warming and restful experience in this hotel.

A little away from centrum / busstop but 5 min easy to walk. Nice walkingtracs overhere.Quiet. Clean. Nice family. Very good food. Beter than average overhere. And the know about vegan. Close to nice walking area. Good choice to stay here!!!
