Ouagadougou is a calm city. You don't see lots of people in a hurry going somewhere as in many of the cities I have visited. Tje city is full of bikes known locally as 'Moto'. What fascinated me is the high number of women bike/scooter riders. They ride just as the men with confidence, agility, zooming past each other while also taking care of each other. The women were either going to ffice, moving business merchandise or ferrying kids to and from school. The women surely are liberated Ouaga

This hotel is widely regarded as the best in the city.The lobby’s generous size and features a variety of shops, including souvenir and gift stores.Having a café within the lobby is a delightful touch. You can enjoy coffee, pastries, or light snacks and large screen dedicated to broadcasting matches. Whether it’s football, basketball, or any other sport, also there is a Billiards Table . The rooms are notably large and come with balconies. Having extra space is always a plus for a comfortable stay.The breakfast in the restaurant is very good ,also offers a diverse selection. The swimming pool big so you can enjoy a refreshing swim.The staff members are attentive, friendly and their service truly enhances the overall experience. The hotel provides a peaceful and secure atmosphere, allowing guests to relax without any disturbances.

Nice property but the beds are super hard (and made my hips hurt). I asked the receptionist about this and he said all beds are equally hard. Also, the pool was empty of water so it could not be used.

I stayed in Ouaka hotel for a couple of days in early January this year, and I would recommend it. I was very happy with it, basic, comfortable, clean and well managed exactly what I was looking for. The only thing was that the sign on the gate was quite discrete, and it is not necessarily widely known in the area (Zogona/ Zone de Bois). Check the directions with the manager for a good reference point to find easily.
