This is an exceptional hotel, it can be highly recommended. My wife and I stayed there for a week in September. Firstly, the rooms are first class and the location is ideal and comes with a private beach. Secondly, i cannot praise the staff enough. There is nothing they will not do to ensure you enjoy your stay. Everyone is always smiling and welcoming such a great team. In conclusion if you ever get the opportunity to stay here, take it with both hands you will not be disappointed.

De mogelijkheid een kopje thee voor jezelf te zetten en aan het bureau wat kaarten naar je familie en vrienden te schrijven. Of heerlijk op het klein maar fijn balkon te gaan zitten en te genieten. Stevige matrassen fijne kussens. Extra dekens in de kast indien nodig. Ruime kast om al je spullen in kwijt te kunnen. Kluis en koelkast aanwezig. Lange spiegels om jezelf te kunnen bewonderen voordat je de deur uit gaat. Verduisterende gordijnen. Nette badkamer. Fijne douche. Shampoo en zeep aanwezig. Kamers netjes bijgehouden door de hardwerkende mensen van de schoonmaak. Ontbijt uitgebreid en lekker. Personeel bij de receptie vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Personeel van de keuken en bediening ook erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zwembad aanwezig. Alleen nog niet gevuld daar het nog april was. Fitnessruimte aanwezig alleen geen tijd gemaakt om daar gebruik van te maken. Ook is er de mogelijkheid je kleren te wassen. Rethimno centrum/old town op loopafstand. Veel winkels en eetmogelijkheden in de omgeving. Ik raad een verblijf aan in dit hotel aan.

We loved our stay at Ammos Suites and would definitely recommend. We don’t like big resorts so Ammos was perfect for us - small and friendly. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious, modern and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous with a great shower! Our room was lovely and quiet. We really liked the location as it was opposite the beach but only a 25 minute stroll into the old town. Everyone that works there is very professional and really friendly and helpful. The Bio Suites is a great hotel, situated a 4 minute walk from the sandy beach and an easy 20 minute stroll along the beach road promenade to the old town of Rethymon, which is a must to get lost in and enjoy. If we were to return to Crete we would stay here again. The hotel looks clean and welcomng from the outside and this continues throughout. The multilingual reception team were courteous, very helpful and available 24/7. The room we stayed in had comortable twin beds, TV, fridge, kettle, airconditioning, ample storage space, balcony (ours overlooked the street but others do overlook the swimming pool area) and a great shower. Daily housekeeping available, which you controlled via request buttons by the door, or a 'Do Not Disturb' DND option. The food is buffet style and catered for all international tastes, was excellent quality, lots of choice and the lunch / dinner selections changed daily. If you were not on a package, the breakfast cost just Euro 8, lunch Euro 10 and dinner Euro 12 - this is really good value given what was available to eat. The restaurant staff were very attentive, cleared up used plates and cutlery quickly and we never had to wait to be seated. Good selection of wines to buy. The swiming pool area was well spaced out so you were not sitting right next to other guests, the pool was a good size, protected from the wind given it is surrounded by other buildings. The hotel is one block back from the beach road and the Bio Suites have their own area on the beach for their guests, who can pay Euro 9 for two sunbeds and a parasol. The beach is expansive, the sea was warm and the area was ideal for children. Numerous showers available to wash the feet off when leaving and with boardwalks to use as the sand did get hot. Transfer to Heraklion airport was 1.5 hours along the coastal road so not too onerous. There are lots of restauarnts, bars, cafes, ice cream & tourist shops and supermarkets in the close vicinity. Summary - really pleased we stayed here and happy to return - both the Bio Suites and Rethymon are a great place for a holiday.
