"We loved the position of this hotel - right on the doorstep of the magnificent ancient city but out of the tourist path. It was delightful to wander through the ruins on our own and feel the history there without the crowds of the other towns. Our room was clean and beautifully presented and Mutti and his collegues organised everything we needed at a great price from scooter hire to our airport bus. The view of the balloons from our balcony at 5am is something we will never forget. We would definitely stay again."

"Impossible to ask for more commitment and care from the team. Sofa Hotel is a very beautiful hotel in Avanos (15min distance from Goreme). We was a group of 14, thus, we book most of room types. Cave and Luxury rooms are incredible. We feel we enter a movie and forget the real world. All kind of rooms are bigger than we need and some of them seems like an home. All staff was very helpful and in the end they kindly sent to portugal a pair of headset someone forget in the room."

"Everything about this hotel is wonderful. I’d recommend it. The hot air balloons are incredible and come right over the patio. The rooms are very cave like and the only thing I didn’t like was how moist it was in the room. The breakfast was outstanding, very top quality. If you are driving, the drive to the top is scary but just keep driving. Don’t stop! Hahaha."

"We had a beautiful suite. Even the reception was very friendly and uncomplicated. The room is very tastyly furnished. The beds are super. Breakfast with beautiful views in the roof restaurantb was very good breakfast. Although there is something unusual from 9:00-11:00 but we have always been looking for nearby destinations before and so perfectly used the morning. The price-performance ratio is very good. We can recommend the hotel 100%"

"We’ve spent four nights there during our tour through Cappadocia. The location is in the quiet zone of the city but an awful noise was heard every night from the neighboring hotel. I need to say in general that the hotel is kind of ambitious, in fact a little over-stylish one. The rooms are designed to look if you are inside a Cappadocia cave and the comfort there is rather unique – somewhat close to “The Flinstones” style: the lighting is insufficient, the wardrobe is a rectangular stone hole of one meter height... All in all a peculiar arrangement. Food was good nearly matching the Turkish standards."

In a town that is still some distance from Gray Town, it would be quite troublesome to travel without a car. Everything is very average. "We found the hotel from the reviews. Check-in at the hotel takes a very short time. There is no parking problem. The location of the hotel is excellent. If you go out with a plan, everywhere is 5 minutes away. Hotel staff are very helpful. You receive immediate positive response to your needs and wishes. Although the breakfast is sparse, it is satisfying. (Cigarette pastry, cake, eggs with sausage and kashar, various jams, cheeses, butter, cheddar, honey and most of them are homemade, your eggs are delivered hot and fried. A new one arrives before the last sip of your tea is finished. Turkish coffee is served. The rooms are authentic. Rooms with jacuzzi and Turkish bath The bath is pleasant after a cold day. I give it 10 points for cleanliness. It is a nice hotel run by warm and friendly people."

"This B&B is relatively far from the valley and the town of Goreme, so it is suitable for self-driving. I chose it because it was cheap, with a Ctrip price of just over 400 for one bedroom and one living room. But when I swiped my card at the B&B, I was charged 3,710 lire, which equals 454 per night. This is evident from the skyrocketing prices in Türkiye in the past two years. The B&B facilities are quite complete, and the shower water is of sufficient temperature and quantity. The bathroom heater was still on. The landlady is not that enthusiastic, but she is considerate and explains everything that needs to be explained clearly. Breakfast is drop-in and reasonably priced. The biggest dissatisfaction is the hygiene. When the quilt was lifted, four hairs were found. Moreover, the bedding is made of coarse cloth and dark color, and the light in the room is dark, making it feel like there is dirt everywhere."

"Hellish place, excruciatingly hot, surrounded by legions of flies, no air conditioning, only two outlets in the room, one of which was loose from the wall and near the bathroom sink, extremely dangerous! The bed was made of wooden planks, only useful for making homemade pasta. The shower was useless, with only a handheld showerhead that you had to hold because you couldn't hang it on the wall; the bracket was broken. Two nights wasted without sleep because of the heat. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING!"

"It is a very beautiful old guest house in a small nice town near Gereme, with beautiful hosts, parking and breakfast in traditional Turkish style without meat or fish. We can recommend this place to all aesthetics appreciators on 1-2 night! For a longer period of stay or travelers with increased comfort requirements it is possible to find another option in the hotel, not in the guest house, as here are not cleaned daily in the rooms, do not throw out debris, Do not change towels, do not issue toilet paper, there are problems with sewage, there are no foreign TV channels, and breakfast is quite uniform. The owners at the same time, from the early morning they smoke cigarettes on the only balcony in the house, so we woke up under the aromas of tobacco flying into our open windows and then breakfast under the same aromas of smoke in the dining room located just at this balcony. And there are no refrigerators in the rooms, and the sound insulation of the toilet is actually absent. But, I will repeat, here is very authentic, and we generally liked it."
