The rooms are very cave like and the only thing I didn’t like was how moist it was in the room. The breakfast was outstanding, very top quality. If you are driving, the drive to the top is scary but just keep driving. Don’t stop! Hahaha."

"We booked three rooms in between Aug 5th to Aug 7th Begam Butik Otel. Hotel itself is good. Close to town center, various restaurants and souvenir shops. The hotel also has site seeing tour operations/ office at the premises. We purchased 8 tickets for Hot Air Balloon ride from the hotel. It charged us 4,000 LIRA per person. Before booking, we asked whether this ride would be suitable for 85 years senior (our mom) who has mobility issues. The hotel owner/ staff saw her mobility challenges. We also asked to confirm that there will be some stool for her to sit during the ride as she can not stand for hours. The staff/ owner called balloon operator and re-assured that she will have a stool and is suitable for her. When we arrived at launching site , we were directed to Balloon Operator named Assiana Balloon. Then we found that we can not just step in the balloon basket. Rather we need to climb up and then down at the basket. Because her mobility challenges my mom can not get into the basket. They brought a ladder to keep outside, but no ladder to come inside. She can not keep balance to get into the basket. Also, there was no promised stool for her to sit during the ride. Obviously, she could not take the ride. Lading is also not suitable for a senior who has mobility challenges. This is not that they could sale the spot to another person if we had not purchased a seat for my mom. The balloon basket still had few more empty spots. And the hotel staff/ owner who took the money. Never returned the money for my mom. This is nothing but dis-honesty. They are running this operation for years. They knew this ride is not suitable for 85 years senior who has mobility issue. This is just cheating."

"The hotel isn't located in the town of Göreme, but in a neighboring town. Uber is readily available, taking less than ten minutes by taxi. Hot air balloon rides and other day trips can be arranged from the hotel. The rooms are more spacious than those in town, and the service and cleanliness are good. We booked a family room, which has two separate rooms. The rooms on the third floor have only one bathroom, while the rooms on the second floor each have their own bathroom, making it ideal for families. Given the scarcity of twin rooms and generally smaller room sizes in Turkey, the accommodation was quite comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, very Turkish and plentiful. Even the simple sunny-side-up eggs were surprisingly well-made, better than many five-star hotels I've stayed in over the years. Highly recommended. However, most cave hotels in Cappadocia don't have elevators and require climbing stairs. For elderly guests with mobility issues, it's advisable to contact the hotel in advance to arrange a lower-floor room."

"I’m currently staying at this so-called 5-star hotel with my group of 30 people. Most of us are in double and triple rooms. Some guests have already left, and others will have different activities in the morning. From the moment we arrived, the service has been anything but five-star. They only provided one key card per room, which is used for both opening the door and activating the electricity. When I asked for an additional card, they refused — and the reception staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I’ve traveled the world and have never experienced such poor service. At one point, I was left 30 minutes without electricity, because the receptionist opened the door but didn’t come back with the key card for power, as promised. I was left in the dark, literally, until my roommate returned. Avoid this hotel at all costs. The service is absolutely unacceptable, and the staff is shockingly disrespectful. One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Actualmente me estoy hospedando en este supuesto hotel de 5 estrellas con mi grupo de 30 personas. La mayoría estamos en habitaciones dobles y triples. Algunos ya se fueron y otros tendrán actividades distintas por la mañana. Desde el momento de la llegada, el servicio ha sido todo menos de cinco estrellas. Solo proporcionaron una tarjeta por habitación, que sirve tanto para abrir la puerta como para activar la electricidad. Pedí otra tarjeta y se negaron, y el personal de recepción fue increíblemente grosero y poco profesional. He viajado por todo el mundo y nunca había experimentado un servicio tan malo. "We had a beautiful suite. Even the reception was very friendly and uncomplicated. The room is very tastyly furnished. The beds are super. Breakfast with beautiful views in the roof restaurantb was very good breakfast. Although there is something unusual from 9:00-11:00 but we have always been looking for nearby destinations before and so perfectly used the morning. The price-performance ratio is very good. We can recommend the hotel 100%"

"We’ve spent four nights there during our tour through Cappadocia. The location is in the quiet zone of the city but an awful noise was heard every night from the neighboring hotel. I need to say in general that the hotel is kind of ambitious, in fact a little over-stylish one. The rooms are designed to look if you are inside a Cappadocia cave and the comfort there is rather unique – somewhat close to “The Flinstones” style: the lighting is insufficient, the wardrobe is a rectangular stone hole of one meter height... All in all a peculiar arrangement. Food was good nearly matching the Turkish standards."

"Lovely traditional hotel with cave style rooms and authentic decor but unfortunately it was out of the way in Avanos which meant we had to take a 20 minute taxi to get into Goreme for any nightlife!! Breakfast was Turkish style which was not to my taste but was well presented! Unfortunately the waitresses were unable to communicate in English so it was difficult to request anything! The coffee on offer was only filter coffee which was awful so we drank Turkish tea! The front desk staff were helpful and actually upgraded us as the hotel was empty! It was a lovely hotel but I would definitely have preferred to stay closer to the tourist area of Goreme where I could see the balloons flying overhead and where I would be able to walk to a restaurant to eat in the evening!"

"Hellish place, excruciatingly hot, surrounded by legions of flies, no air conditioning, only two outlets in the room, one of which was loose from the wall and near the bathroom sink, extremely dangerous! The bed was made of wooden planks, only useful for making homemade pasta. The shower was useless, with only a handheld showerhead that you had to hold because you couldn't hang it on the wall; the bracket was broken. Two nights wasted without sleep because of the heat. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING!"

"We had an outstanding vacation at Agarta Cave Hotel in Göreme. Everything exceeded our expectations throughout our stay: Excellent service, genuinely kind hosts, delicious breakfast, and comfortable cave rooms. One of the most magical experiences was waking up to the sight of hot air balloons rising over the valley, and watching them from our terrace. Such a mystic experience! Also, hotel managers, Mehmet Ali Bey and Salih Bey, went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed during our stay. They were extremely nice and thoughtful. "It is a very beautiful old guest house in a small nice town near Gereme, with beautiful hosts, parking and breakfast in traditional Turkish style without meat or fish. We can recommend this place to all aesthetics appreciators on 1-2 night! For a longer period of stay or travelers with increased comfort requirements it is possible to find another option in the hotel, not in the guest house, as here are not cleaned daily in the rooms, do not throw out debris, Do not change towels, do not issue toilet paper, there are problems with sewage, there are no foreign TV channels, and breakfast is quite uniform. The owners at the same time, from the early morning they smoke cigarettes on the only balcony in the house, so we woke up under the aromas of tobacco flying into our open windows and then breakfast under the same aromas of smoke in the dining room located just at this balcony. And there are no refrigerators in the rooms, and the sound insulation of the toilet is actually absent. But, I will repeat, here is very authentic, and we generally liked it."

Since there was no phone signal in the rooms, we tried to connect to Wi-Fi, but the internet was intermittent. There was no key to the bathroom door. There was no bedroom door. It would have been even better if these two issues were addressed."
