"We enjoyed our two nights stay at Pippa Old Inn; the room was clean, well ventilated, stocked with water, electric kettle, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, and moisturizer. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bath towels were thick, slippers were provided as well. One big plus for us was the complimentary access to washer and dryer since we travel light."

"A clean and comfortable renewed hotel in a central but quiet location. The service is excellent. From the hotel, which is in the ancient city of Datong, major turistica ares can be easily reached. Thanks to a DIDI point just around the corner it's is to get everywhere in the city, The rooms are cozy, and super clean. They have many comforts. The only minor point is that the Chinese breakfast is not in the hotel. However the young very nice manager of the Hotel organized just cappuccino, cofees and brioche in the loby (which is also a coffee place!). In the end, an excellente breakfast. recoomended with no reserves if you are a dynamic traveller visiting Dating!"

"Ive just left the Inn and on the train to the next destination. I wish I could stay longer as this was such a pleasant stay. The boss lady was so nice. I booked just a basic room but got upgraded to almost a studio flat with separate bedroom in the mezzanine and lounge downstairs. Everytime I come back from sightseeing, all hot tired, the boss lady gave me a bowl of delicious melons. It was sweet and juicy. The best melons I have had. The second time she also gave me bananas. It was so much needed. The hotel is in the perfect location. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 1. From Datongnan station there are buses 608 or 61 which takes you directly to Huayansi stop, less than 1min from the hotel. However, the hotel frontage is a jewelry shop, I didn't know so ended up walking up/down the street for 10mins before the boss lady realised and came out to tell me I have arrived. 2. If you want to go to Yungang Grottoes. From the same bus stop take bus 38, then change to bus 3 to get to the Grottoes. Journey time about an hour in total. And cost 4RMB (2RMB per bus). However, you have to set up some kind of public travel app from Wechat to get the QR code to pay the bus fare. I didn't know this. Fortunately, some nice people helped pay my fare, then another lovely girl helped set up the app enabling me to use the bus from then as when I arrived and took the bus from the train station to hotel Wechatpay didn't work. Fortunately the driver let me ride for free as I guess he realised Im foreign and don't have this app. Only when I took the bus to Yungang Grottoes, the girl told me I need to set up the travel app etc and helped me set it up. 3. The hotel is also right opposite to the Huayan temple. A beautiful ancient temple. Deffo can't be missed. "這次出門真讓我碰見好地方了！這酒店硬件配置真沒得挑。房間賊寬敞，待着一點都不憋屈，整個人一下就鬆弛了。最爽的是那個迷你吧，裏面的零食飲料居然全免費，晚上窩在房間邊吃邊看劇，美滋滋。而且人家連吹風機都給配的戴森，終於不用用那種吹半天頭髮還打結的破風筒了！洗澡也痛快，淋浴間空間大，可以完美避開前面幾秒的冷水，貼心設計滿滿。總之就是各種細節都挺到位，下次來還住這兒，想住得舒坦的閉眼沖！"

"We spent four tonight's in Datong hotel, although this hotel's grandeur is somewhat jaded,we still felt we were staying somewhere special. Thoroughly enjoyed our balcony overlooking the gardens at the entrance. What impressed us most of all was the restaurant in the adjoining Grand Hotel. After a month, travelling in China,this was the most delicious and interesting food we encountered. It was so good we ate there each night and it gave us the opportunity to try a varied range of Chinese dishes. Datong was a really wonderful place to spend a few days, and I would highly recommend it."

"真的是各種細節太驚艷了，前台小姐姐熱情周到，早晨會打電話詢問你怎麼過來，我説打車，她告訴我快到了給她打電話她出來接，我們正好帶着孩子，拿着行李，也不用在導航位置了，真的很貼心，然後辦理入住的時候也是給拿了小孩拖鞋和牙刷，這點我覺得真的很周到，我們一般去別的酒店都沒有專門給小孩的東西，這點太讚了，孩子也特別高興，再説説房間，我定的房間在負一樓，來之前前台告知已經把新風系統和空調都打開了，屋內温度也適合，屋裡貼心的還放了小食和飲料，樓下空間也特別大，總體真的超出預期的滿意，孩子説衹想在酒店呆著，哈哈哈，不想出去，而且還有一個值得誇讚的就是一次性浴巾特別特別大，可以包住孩子，孩子洗完澡也不怕受涼，真的給用心的酒店點贊👍大同很好，下次還來。"

"一次完美的住宿體驗。這是一家有着滿滿人情味兒的民宿，從預訂後加微信的管家，到餐廳做飯的阿姨，到每一位工作人員，都透出濃濃的人情味兒！這家民宿很新，但是一點點裝修的味道都沒有，親子房一張大雙人床➕一張小雙人床，三口之家住起來很舒服，每天出去玩兒回來都非常累，能躺在寬敞的大床上舒舒服服的睡一覺特別解乏。每天早餐都特別豐富，而且很有本地特色，早上吃的飽飽的，在外邊玩兒到中午，一時沒有合適吃飯的餐廳，也沒覺得餓！尤其要感謝的廚房兩位阿姨，非常熱情周到，做的飯菜特別合我們一家人的胃口！管家小程是一位漂亮可愛的女孩子，主動到地庫來接我們，幫我們提行李，辦理入住，晚上送來熱乎乎的晚安湯，還給我們推薦了幾家很好吃的餐廳。還有小黨（我沒對上號是哪一位工作人員抱歉）每天都會發來天氣預報，提醒增減衣物。還有一位男工作人員，給我們介紹本地好吃的東西，風土人情等，還在我們開車離開時一直送到地庫（期間還有一位女工作人員，也謝謝你啦），真的讓我們覺得很温暖，那種家人般的温暖！這次大同之旅出發的很匆忙，卻非常難忘又開心，離不開這家民宿所有工作人員的付出和努力，有機會再和朋友家人們來大同，我們還會選擇這裏！祝你們生意越來越好！"

"The hotel service staff is just amazing from the front desk , waitress at the breakfast restaurants and also security staff. They really make you feel welcome. Rooms are not new but still maintained well. They could do better if they replace the carpet with a flooring that can be more easily cleaned. The location is very good. The well known Sunji Bao restaurant is just opposite and you can take public bus to tourist sites just outside the hotel. The buffet breast is just awesome. Some reviews say that they are just ok, but the reality is not like that. Have attached some photos to show the buffet spread."
