"Location is good.New hotel hence everything is new.
However as the room we were given was beside management office and because they were smoking inside hence the smell of smoking went into our room as the hotel open the room before guests arrived.
We put do not disturb sign however the housekeeping still comes in to change the towels etc."

PPengguna TetamuOur stay at Bo Yuan’er Platinum Courtyard Hotel in Datong was outstanding. The hotel enjoys an excellent location right in the heart of Datong’s Ancient City. Being situated in the pedestrian zone means it is wonderfully quiet at night with no traffic noise, yet it still offers the convenience of an underground parking garage for guests arriving by car.
The hotel is newly built with beautiful traditional-inspired architecture, and the rooms are luxurious, spacious, and finished to a very high standard. Everything felt modern, elegant, and exceptionally well maintained.
The Chinese breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious dishes. Every morning was a pleasure.
What impressed us most was the genuinely warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and always happy to help with any request. They kindly offered us a late checkout, which made our travel plans much more comfortable. As a final surprise, we even received a thoughtful gift when we left—a wonderful gesture that perfectly reflected the hotel’s exceptional service.
We highly recommend Bo Yuan’er Platinum Courtyard Hotel to anyone visiting Datong. It combines a perfect location, beautiful accommodations, outstanding breakfast, and truly first-class hospitality. We would gladly stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuAn absolutely gem inside the Datong ancient city square in a modern gated compound, conveniently located within walking distance to shops, restaurants and many ancient and historical sites. Our booking came with a free pick up and drop off from the train station.
The room is super clean, comfortable and well equipped ( with Dyson hair drier) whilst the toilet is fully automatic with a heated seat . Our main highlight is most definitely the incredible staff. They were warm, attentive and the service was so personal that our experience in Datong became so special. We were concerned as we weren’t able to book our entry ticket to the Hanging temple before we arrived, but the staff recommended a fantastic driver who took us there early in the morning and ensured everything worked out well. The homemade and included breakfast was delicious and incredibly special . They also prepared our breakfast to go on the day we left very early in the morning. Similarly whenever we asked for a recommendation for restaurants or activities, they very kindly personally accompanied us to where we needed to go whilst ensuring we were attended to. All their suggestions were superb. The level of attention we received is simply unmatched compared to that of large hotel chain.

BBea99Amazing and really clean hotel. Everything was new and really nicely decorated. It is a bit hidden so I recommend contacting the staff before hand. The service was phenomenal. Both the boss and her employee were super nice and accommodating. They had really good recommendations and they even drove us to places. Breakfast was excellent as well. Really tasty and great choices. When we came back after being in the cold, they even brought us special rose tea to get warm again.

NNatalia KamideWe had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. One day, we had to leave early for a tour and were going to miss breakfast and the hotel thoughtfully prepared snacks to take along, which was such a considerate gesture.
The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The bed and shower were excellent. And breakfast is also very good.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

PPengguna TetamuI went with my sister. To a place that is remote and strange to us. We did not expect much but we received lots of warm memories. From the airport pick up to arriving. They offered afternoon tea once we arrived hotel as it was very cold. We were taken care of well. The following days were nice breakfast, warm regards, constant reminders to wear more as it is cold. When the food rider could not find the hotel, the boss went out to find the food rider, asking me to stay back as it is cold outside. The constant reminders felt home and warmth, genuinely care for their guests. Amazing and soul enriching trip at this place. They offered more than they advertised - depending on the situations, which is beyond my expectation. Finally they sent us off to the railway station, this is not in the package but they only said they had the car, they can bring us there, like family sending off their guests. Find a place like this, rest for a few days, the world feels warmer, the soul feels grateful.

GGoh Wee KengA gem of a 民宿 located within the Datong old city walls. Conveniently located next to a plethora of good eats including 喜晋道 and the ever popular 霸王茶姬，the friendly yet non-intrusive service staff provided excellent service throughout of 4 day stay. Engaging their 商务车 for 2 days to explore around Datong was a great decision as the staff service extended to having hot beverages, biscuits and fruits ready for us coming in from the cold weather. The same service extends to breakfast for which a spread of home cooked dishes are made fresh daily. A great stay and highly recommended.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaI booked two rooms for 4, and we were given rooms beside each other. We arrived late at night around 9.30pm and check in went smoothly. Rooms were very comfortable and were equipped with SMART tech with voice activation! We were also able to check out a little later upon request since our train left later in the afternoon. I also had packages delivered to the reception and had no issues. Location was great and easy to explore the ancient city and also to see the main wall itself.
One thing to note is that there isn't a formal drop off point but you can definitely get dropped off and picked up along the side of the road. The room layout was slightly different than the images on Trip.com (I booked a Double bedroom with courtyard view with a stay voucher), but the room was good too although I would have preferred the toilet configuration in the photos. Overall, a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay here again if I get to come back to Datong. They also have a bakery at the lobby and it gets sold out pretty quickly!

SShuanghemobai看了很多家酒店，都説屋裡有當地的黑蟲子，本人極怕蟲子，就他家沒有反映有蟲子，而且離古城還很近，有大大的窗户，我們比較喜歡走路，走到東門大概20多分鐘吧，溜溜達達挺好的。
前台認真負責，晚上發現點小問題，還及時過來房間解決，辛苦了。

The staff is always kind and helpful, ready to assist with any request. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the services provided are excellent — including a surprisingly good espresso coffee!
Highly recommended for those looking for comfort, friendly service, and a strategic location.
