Stayed in Datong for what was supposed to be one night - and ended up staying three) The breakfast alone deserves mention: it felt closer to fine dining - carefully prepared dishes, beautiful presentation, and real attention to flavor. The staff made everything easy despite the language barrier. They were patient, creative, and genuinely warm - you could see they wanted guests to feel comfortable, and it worked. I had a surprisingly soulful time here. Something about the atmosphere, the care from the team, and the calm pace made my stay memorable. Of all the hotels I experienced in China, this is the one I will remember as the best!

A gem of a 民宿 located within the Datong old city walls. Conveniently located next to a plethora of good eats including 喜晋道 and the ever popular 霸王茶姬，the friendly yet non-intrusive service staff provided excellent service throughout of 4 day stay. Engaging their 商务车 for 2 days to explore around Datong was a great decision as the staff service extended to having hot beverages, biscuits and fruits ready for us coming in from the cold weather. The same service extends to breakfast for which a spread of home cooked dishes are made fresh daily. A great stay and highly recommended.

暑假的古城熙熙攘攘，而這裏的小院給了我們一份獨特的寧靜和愜意。 整個民宿的審美在線，尤其是小院的綠化佈局以及傢俱軟裝的選擇讓人感覺非常舒適。但是最貼心的是服務，不同於大酒店的標準化流程，這裏讓人感受到的是有温度的關懷。 入住當晚航班延誤，司機把我們接到民宿已經很晚了，前台工作人員快速給我們辦好手續送到房間，輕聲説了句早點休息。入住過程中好幾次需要幫助，工作人員都是及時相應，但又非常得體不過多打擾。退房時正值早餐繁忙時段，工作人員和司機也熱心幫助用電瓶車送到停車場。 下次如果再來大同一定還會選擇入住這裏。

Every detail of this hotel was top notch! It was our first time in Datong, and staying at pingcheng hotel was one of the best decision we made! From the moment you arrive they greet you with a welcome drinks and fruits! The foot bath service felt amazing after a long day walking around the grottoes. The hotel is located in the quieter quarter of the ancient city. I would totally go back to stay at this hotel! They even got us a bag of Shanxi souvenirs!💖 The only thing I'd recommend to improve would be the breakfast selection. Adding cheese & ham and some other continental breakfast option would be great for foreign tourists.

這次和愛人一起來大同，選了東信廣場這家城際酒店，整體體驗超出預期！酒店是德式風格的建築，外觀大氣，進門感覺很上檔次。前台工作人員態度特別熱情，辦理入住速度很快，前廳準備的茶味道很不錯，休息的時候喝上一杯很舒服。 房間裏面收拾得乾乾淨淨，一點異味都沒有，床是絲漣床墊，躺上去軟硬適中，睡起來特別解乏。房間裏的小冰箱配了飲用水，品質挺好。衞浴空間寬敞，設施都很新，用着順手。 早餐種類真的很豐富，熱菜、麪點、水果全都有，重點誇一誇現做的刀削麪，地道好吃，味道很贊。酒店公共區域還有自助洗衣、健身的地方，配套很齊全。整趟住下來特別舒心，出行停車也方便，下次再來大同還選這家，推薦給來大同遊玩的朋友！

Very convenient for the High Speed Train station. The hotel is located in an affluent local neighbourhood and is a mere 5 minutes walk away from good food.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and great located, the staff is super friendly and helpful, they attended all our needs, special mention to Serena and Xina.

Great stay with excellent service and a very good breakfast selection, though a few more sweet options would be nice. We really missed having laundry facilities, which would have made our long trip even easier. Overall, we’d happily stay again!

We booked the Embassy Suite for a night. The room was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable and clean. However, the toiletries and amenities (no fridge for example) are very dated. The staff were very nice and welcoming and the location is perfect, very close to the old city and easy to get in and out of Datong. If they would maintain the rooms a bit this can be a great stay.

We had a wonderful time at Tangtou Hotspring Hotel! Everything was great from the beginning: the manager helped us find a right parking spot for our car, the housekeeping staff made sure that we don't miss anything and we were served a complimentary fresh fruits plate, and also they provided extra bed sheets for our little son, with a lovely hand written note from the housekeeping staff! The hot spring facilities are also great, with indoor pools and smaller cozy ones outside, while the locker room staff were always attentive and caring with us, providing us even the necessary equipment when we forgot to take it from our room! The breakfast was also a very nice surprise, with multiple choices of Chinese and Western cuisine, in an elegant venue. We loved everything at Tangtou Hotspring Hotel and we will definitely come back this year!
