"The hotel service staff is just amazing from the front desk , waitress at the breakfast restaurants and also security staff. They really make you feel welcome. Rooms are not new but still maintained well. They could do better if they replace the carpet with a flooring that can be more easily cleaned. The location is very good. The well known Sunji Bao restaurant is just opposite and you can take public bus to tourist sites just outside the hotel. The buffet breast is just awesome. Some reviews say that they are just ok, but the reality is not like that. Have attached some photos to show the buffet spread."

"來到浩海國際酒店，是我目前住過最滿意的酒店。1.首先是入住，我預訂了無窗房，前台平姐主動升級了向南街景房間（見圖6），並且主動提供了耳塞和茶，服務極其熱心。2.客房部張春弟主動提供小零食、泡腳桶和泡腳葯包，並且主動幫忙手洗將近10件衣物（見圖3、4）非常有心，令我極其感動，住遍全國各色酒店，從未有如此愉快體驗，令人受寵若驚！3.客房部張素芳極其用心負責，本來沒有讓打掃床鋪，可是她還是把全屋都整理一遍包括床鋪，和新入住的一樣。4.在電梯遇見董月英，主動噓寒問暖，並主動提供果盤（圖5），令客人有賓至如歸之感。5.客房劉建宏，得知我們愛吃酒店送的零食饃片，主動申請，送了將近十包，很有心，讓我們很感動。總之這次入住，讓我們知道了酒店服務的天花板並不是什麼五星級品牌大酒店，而是浩海國際酒店。我們雖然付了不高的房費，但是每一個工作人員都竭盡全力，主動關心幫助我們，讓我們有一種被圍起來關愛的感覺，真的極其感動！我真心希望所有來大同的客人都可以來嘗試浩海國際酒店！下次如果有幸再來大同一定會入住浩海國際酒店！"

"Located inside the Datong old city, the inn itself is a historic building and has a history of its own. There are many interesting decors to look at in the property. The location is excellent and nearby some very good restaurants. It has a laundry room with 2 washers and 1 dryer which are very important in my opinion.The room was very nice, the cleanliness was very good and kept in very good condition. Although there was no rotating menu for the buffet breakfast each morning, the food is good and there's also beef/lamb offal rice noodles on request. The best parts about the hotel are the staff and service. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. I usually get disappointed by restaurant recommendations by hotel staff but all the restaurants recommended were excellent and not overly expensive. They could help you make a reservation (those restaurants get super busy on weekends and holidays) as well if you don't speak Chinese. We had to check out really early on the last day and the staff promptly packed us some eggs and bread for breakfast even though we didn't request it the night prior. I'm sure if you request it the day/night before, they'll be able to pack you something more substantial. I don't normally leave reviews but this property was worth my time."

"The location is perfect in the centre of the city. You can reach all the attractions by foot. We had a room with the balcony and even if we did not use it that much it had a really nice “mood” and was really cozy. The room was clean and they also brought us some fresh fruit in the afternoon which was really appreciated and refreshing. The hotel is situated on the road which makes it easy to reach with the taxi if you have the luggages but at night is really quite. The staff was nice and does not speak English but with the translator you can easily overcome it."

"A lovely hotel close to the old wall and not far from Datong’s must see historic attractions. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfasts are great and there is also an optional evening buffet which is good value. There is a self service laundry which the staff help you with. Rooms are nice and clean and the hotel is nice and quiet. Highly recommend"

"The hotel was hard for us to find on DiDi as travellers with no experience in China 😂 We eventually found it after going to Fungee X hotel, from there you can take the elevator to the 7th floor. The decor of the hallway is really nice and the hotel is spotless. We didnt find the staff very friendly but this could be because our attempt at trying to speak Chinese was very bad. Our room was large and had great natural light. Lots of items included in your room such as bathroom toiletries, and also cups etc to use. The bed was very comfortable, we especially enjoyed the memory foam pillow! Our room was large and had great natural light. I would definitely recommend this hotel"

"Great 3 night stay. It's a very short Didi ride from DaTong South Railway station. It's right next to the DaTong Ancient City area. It's a close walk but the entrances for the walled city are all in the middle section of each wall. It's walkable but it's also easy to rent a bike or take a 7 rmb Didi to the main area. I couldn't find any convenience stores close but I was ok without them. You can also have things delivered to the hotel and the robot will bring it to your room. Room was great. Big, clean and comfortable. Pillows were also good. Had a view of the old town which was nice at night. I traveled in April. It was warm in the room because I think only the heat works that time of year. I tried the AC but didn't seem to cool the room. They had two windows you could open. It was around 0C at night so it cools down the room enough to sleep comfortably if you don't like sleeping in a warm room. Shower had strong water pressure. Towels and toiletries good. The shuttle bus stop is very close to the hotel too. You can take shuttles to some of the tourist attractions outside the city. They shuttles are cheap and convenient. Less than 10 minute walk I think or a 2 minute Didi ride. It's the ”DaTong ancient city” stop. The buffet breakfast was good. They had a big variety of western, Chinese and local foods to eat. One day breakfast was on the 3rd floor and the other days it was on the 28th floor when it was busier. They put snacks and fruit everyday. Actually good snacks, I ate all of them everyday. I was also sick with a cough. The worker must have noticed the first day in the hallway. That night when I came back I had a handwritten note and a pear tea to help with my cold. They provided the same the following night. I really appreciated that. Overall was a great stay. I'd definitely stay there again if I go back to DaTong. I'd recommend staying there."

"元旦的時候到這裏玩，因為我們帶着寵物，發現傳統的酒店還是比較困難，所以在網上訂了民宿，到時候衹是看了一些評論和位置，孩子很喜歡，兩層的設計，到了很驚訝的發現這民俗真的很不錯，環境非常好，服務也不錯。主要是出行也很方便，位置很好，真的性價比非常高！二樓還有一個露台，但因為天氣冷，我們基本上沒有出去，應該拍照會很美。下次有機會再去大同，我們估計還會再定這家！對了，臨走的時候，還給我們送了醋和沙棘汁，特別貼心！"
