Hotel Mountain view di Datong

*The staff are nice to accomodate us. *The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car). *The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee). *The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area.They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city. *Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees. *The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers,toothbrush, hair dryer,kettle and 2 bottle of water. *Last picture was epic:)

Hotel based at the foot of HengShan. You need to park in the ticket buying area (cannot park directly at hotel) staff called beforehand to tell me this and arrange collection at the car park ~ Very helpful staff who collected me from the entrance and took me back to my car after A lovely hotel room with a comfy bed Awesome shower! Beautifully decorated. Shop and restaurant in the hotel as it is the only thing at the base of the mountain. Staff were accommodating of my dietary requirements. Very convenient to step out and begin the hike immediately! Some tea and coffee in the room and perhaps a fridge would have made it even better 😊

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies. My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily. The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing. I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

The room was clean and smelled good. The view from our room was great. Ask for a room overlooking the old city. At night the town comes alive. Lots of people on the street selling snacks and fruits. (the mangoes are worth trying). There is all day coffee at reception. Good coffee. The bedding was clean. The hotel location is very ideal. Lots of restaurants down stairs (mainly noodles) but a 6 minute walk to the intersection and you will find more food options and a mall. The hotel is not far from Hengshan and xuankong. 

Get of out the station ,turn left and you can see  2 high rise buildings. It’s the second one .Just walk 200m and voila  the ( watch the pic) entrance. It’s located in an apartment block.go to the 7th floor,the entire floor being owned by the same company.The lady is absolutely delightful,charming and attentive to your request. The room is nicely decorated, big,clean,with all the necessary amenities ( the only issue is that all the bathroom towels are disposable and quite small but still ok) Location of perfect if you need to take or coming from a speed train.plenty of restaurants around. Highly recommended 

This hotel was a great surprise. I booked it as it is the closest to the places I wanted to visit - hanging temple and hang shen mountain (both locations - very very recommended). When I got there I was a bit concerned as it is your regular Chinese town - not touristy as Datong (where I was before) or Pingyao (where I went after), so I was not sure what I will get. What I got was a very posh, fancy, very well equipped and decorated room - very high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything I needed, and there is a great restaurant right in front. I highly recommend!

Wonderful place, great staff, I really liked the breakfast. The room was very clean.

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is quite far away from the tourist Center. All have to take shuttle bus to the scenic place from the tourist Center. There are several restaurants around the hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Tangtou Hotspring Hotel! Everything was great from the beginning: the manager helped us find a right parking spot for our car, the housekeeping staff made sure that we don't miss anything and we were served a complimentary fresh fruits plate, and also they provided extra bed sheets for our little son, with a lovely hand written note from the housekeeping staff! The hot spring facilities are also great, with indoor pools and smaller cozy ones outside, while the locker room staff were always attentive and caring with us, providing us even the necessary equipment when we forgot to take it from our room! The breakfast was also a very nice surprise, with multiple choices of Chinese and Western cuisine, in an elegant venue. We loved everything at Tangtou Hotspring Hotel and we will definitely come back this year!

Cab fare from Hunyuan bus station to hotel is RMB10(fixed price),from hotel to Hengshan and Xuankong temple is RMB20 and 15 respectively. Hotel staff provided great service and advice, helping with the laundry washing and gave us aloe Vera gel for moisturising. They also helped us to confirm the bus trip from Hunyuan to Wutaishan by calling and contacting the bus station staff to ensure we will not be cheated. There's a shopping centre opposite which sells apparel and shoes at wholesale price. Lots of food options nearby too
