酒店位置絕佳，古城內，東南邑中心，旁邊毗鄰著名的沙棘冰激凌和佛小伴店，關帝廟走不到10分鐘，善化寺打車6分鐘，華嚴寺打車8分鐘，酒店斜對面就是東南邑里最高吃的小店“張張蔬食”，晚上出去衚衕滿樹的紅燈籠，無比愜意鬆弛。
酒店服務主打一個暖心，早飯有小米遼參、刀削麪、烤小黃魚、小排骨、手撕雞、鮮榨各種汁、咖啡牛奶熱乎乎的豆漿，菜品精緻量足誠意滿滿，主打讓你餓不着。晚上在院子裏盪鞦韆，帥氣的男服務員路過看到，笑眯眯走過來：晚上外面涼，如果您覺得冷，我給您端一杯熱水吧！糟糕，怎麼回事，中年老婦女的心動——老公都沒對這麼好啊🥹晚上另一位大眼睛英俊男服務員禮貌敲門：您好，給您送一下今天的晚湯，剛熬出來的有點熱，小朋友注意不要被燙到哈。嚶🥹一壺膳魔師+兩個可愛的小碗端進來，可是我白天已經吃了好多好多了，下午回房間還有滿滿一盤子堅果、小點心和話梅汁？深深感到酒店就怕我餓着😂，必須餵飽。
設施：簡潔、優美、實用，二層晚上古城夜景絕美，洗髮水是我自己家用的牌子，熟悉的味道。格外要説一下浴衣和其他酒店的毛巾感不同，穿着超級舒服（孩子很喜歡）。送了一包蒸汽眼罩，還有浴球、面膜、浴巾、一次性內衣毛巾等一系列、漱口水，第一天的沒用第二天仍然接着送……默默奉獻發光發熱。
最後一天臨走上了車，送了一個大袋子（驚喜！）包裏都是各種特產。😭孩子説太鬆弛太舒服了以後還想來。
忙碌的人們都來被狠狠照顧和治癒一下吧！

KKatrin SauthoffMy husband and I are a couple from Germany. We booked two nights there, and our decision was absolutely the right one. From the initial contact (via the WeChat app, which is essential for your entire trip to China) to our departure, everything was perfect. We were picked up from the train station by car and taken to the hotel free of charge. This is especially good for Western tourists who don't speak Chinese. The first problem would have been explaining to the taxi where we wanted to go. The lobby and rooms are very beautiful, stylish, and equipped with the highest technology. Most of the guest rooms face the inner courtyard, so you can sleep very quietly and comfortably. The beds are very large and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent. It's located on the northern edge of the Ancient City of Datong, just a few minutes' walk from the tourist attractions and the colorful and lively old town. So you can enjoy it without being disturbed by noise. I would especially like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, we don't speak Chinese, and the staff didn't speak English, but with the help of modern communication tools (language apps), we understood each other perfectly. Every request was fulfilled. There's even the option to use a washing machine in the basement of the hotel. This is especially fantastic for tourists on longer trips to China, as it allows for easy laundry. If you ever come back to China, we will definitely book this hotel again.

GGoh Wee KengA gem of a 民宿 located within the Datong old city walls. Conveniently located next to a plethora of good eats including 喜晋道 and the ever popular 霸王茶姬，the friendly yet non-intrusive service staff provided excellent service throughout of 4 day stay. Engaging their 商务车 for 2 days to explore around Datong was a great decision as the staff service extended to having hot beverages, biscuits and fruits ready for us coming in from the cold weather. The same service extends to breakfast for which a spread of home cooked dishes are made fresh daily. A great stay and highly recommended.

YYeryeryEvery detail of this hotel was top notch! It was our first time in Datong, and staying at pingcheng hotel was one of the best decision we made! From the moment you arrive they greet you with a welcome drinks and fruits! The foot bath service felt amazing after a long day walking around the grottoes. The hotel is located in the quieter quarter of the ancient city. I would totally go back to stay at this hotel! They even got us a bag of Shanxi souvenirs!💖
The only thing I'd recommend to improve would be the breakfast selection. Adding cheese & ham and some other continental breakfast option would be great for foreign tourists.

設計與設施：整體設計就不多贅述了，國內酒店民宿天花板級別，每一處室內外的設計都別具匠心、很有品味，房間內的陳設和器物也都極其用心。配套設施同樣不含糊：泳池恆温水，非常舒服；健身房雖然不大，但體驗很好，應付輕度運動完全足夠。早餐對於這個規模的酒店來説也算得上豐盛。
服務：服務是這次入住最讓我驚喜的一點，是一般五星級酒店給不了的體驗。每次進出大堂，工作人員都會很熱情地迎來送往；房間裏準備了歡迎水果，晚間還送來了精心熬製的銀耳湯；離店時更收到一份伴手禮——恰好就是之前在東南邑逛店時看到的那款精美陶瓷茶杯，細節用心,讓人印象深刻。
總結：整體是一次非常好的入住體驗，強烈推薦。如果你已經厭倦了千篇一律的五星級酒店那種”看似豪華、實則雷同”的體驗，到大同住既下山，絕對是不會讓人失望的選擇。

PPengguna TetamuI was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries.
The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included.
The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride.
My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room.
The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily.
If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn.
*I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaI booked two rooms for 4, and we were given rooms beside each other. We arrived late at night around 9.30pm and check in went smoothly. Rooms were very comfortable and were equipped with SMART tech with voice activation! We were also able to check out a little later upon request since our train left later in the afternoon. I also had packages delivered to the reception and had no issues. Location was great and easy to explore the ancient city and also to see the main wall itself.
One thing to note is that there isn't a formal drop off point but you can definitely get dropped off and picked up along the side of the road. The room layout was slightly different than the images on Trip.com (I booked a Double bedroom with courtyard view with a stay voucher), but the room was good too although I would have preferred the toilet configuration in the photos. Overall, a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay here again if I get to come back to Datong. They also have a bakery at the lobby and it gets sold out pretty quickly!

PPengguna TetamuHotel is not easy to find as the hotel sign is not prominent. It took us awhile to find the place but luckily we managed to find it eventually. The hotel is located at the south Heyang Gate plaza. It is pet friendly and have several beautiful cats and one playful puppy whom guests can play with. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. They provide breakfast which looks delicate and delicious. However, there are no food places nearby the hotel so if we want to find food, it is a 8-10 mins walk. Overall hotel is quite clean.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is in an amazing neighbourhood of hidden courtyard homes and buildings. It’s about 5 to 10 minute walk to Prince Dai’s Temple, one of the biggest highlights of Datong.
The service was impeccable, always helpful and friendly and anticipating our needs.
The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated.
Highly recommend the nearby restaurant: we ate there twice, excellent.
Stay, you won’t be disappointed!
