Hotel Datong dengan Bar

We stayed here during our trip to Datong and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean, despite spotting a few small cockroaches (probably due to the recent rain). The staff is always kind and helpful, ready to assist with any request. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the services provided are excellent — including a surprisingly good espresso coffee! Highly recommended for those looking for comfort, friendly service, and a strategic location.

A gem of a 民宿 located within the Datong old city walls. Conveniently located next to a plethora of good eats including 喜晋道 and the ever popular 霸王茶姬，the friendly yet non-intrusive service staff provided excellent service throughout of 4 day stay. Engaging their 商务车 for 2 days to explore around Datong was a great decision as the staff service extended to having hot beverages, biscuits and fruits ready for us coming in from the cold weather. The same service extends to breakfast for which a spread of home cooked dishes are made fresh daily. A great stay and highly recommended.

A small inn inside a new development within the old city, within a few minutes walk of the city wall, where you can climb up and walk the wall.    The hotel and surrounding development was created in the traditional style.     Clean, newly built , managed well, provided a good breakfast,  room furnishings were a higher quality than an average hotel.     Underground parking garage was convenient.     If I had to improve anything, I would find a way to turn off the bath area sink mirror night light.   It was distracting to try to sleep with the room bathed in bright blue light ( more like a studio, not a fully separate bathroom )... I ended up sticking a towel against it to block most of the light.

We had an amazing stay at Sunyata Datong. The hotel beautifully blends traditional Chinese architecture with modern elegance, offering a serene and spotless environment that feels both authentic and refined. The hospitality was exceptional — every staff member was polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. Their attention to detail made the experience truly memorable, from the thoughtful room touches to the warm service at every interaction. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was another highlight, with a wonderful selection of freshly prepared dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. A perfect blend of culture, comfort, and heartfelt service — Sunyata Datong is truly a gem and highly recommended for anyone visiting Datong

I’m traveling in China & I have to say that this hotel is the best so far. Everything is top notch. Very pleasant experience. Close to all the major attractions in Datong. Great value. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel! The location is perfect for exploring the city center on foot. The hotel is brand new while beautifully preserving a traditional Chinese style, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and even welcomed us with a lovely afternoon snack, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine with a wide variety of choices. We especially appreciated how seriously they take food allergies and dietary requirements, something that is unfortunately not common everywhere. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate every request made us feel truly cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely come back on our next visit!

Great hotel in the old town near the city wall. The staff are polite and helpful with any issues and they washed my laundry for me free of charge. That is really kind of them. The room is nice and bed is comfortable, I liked the balcony to sit on and eat my dinner. However the walls are quite thin and can hear room neighbours and people in corridor talking and watching TV. Unfortunately they only have disposable towels, I would prefer to use the real towels. The shower is extremely difficult to figure out how to use! Otherwise it is a really good stay, I would be happy to come back and stay again when I return to Datong next time. Thank you.

聽説最近路邊在施工會有噪音，由於我們被安排在了A座西北角不臨街的位置，在遠離施工地的同時，窗户密閉性很好，所以房間內非常非常安靜。 床鋪舒服，布草很乾凈。 前台姓馬的帥氣小哥超級nice～其他小姐姐們也都很友好熱情耐心～ 住在A座的話送早餐，早餐是自助形式，非常好吃，最喜歡餛飩和雞蛋捲兒，真乃絕色也～ 在蛋糕房預訂了核桃派作為手信，同事們讚不絕口；還預訂了開心果仁麪包給我爸，上次來的時候我爸一個人兩頓幹完了一包，我都震驚了；買了4瓶杏醬，兑氣泡水直接封神了。 2層的中餐廳一如既往的美味，這次選這裏也是為了吃飯（我這點出息）。

Conveniently located besides the Ancient Wall City, where I spent my first day, and not too far from Datongnan, the high speed rail station I arrived from. My room was clean and comfortable with a decent view. I didn’t stay here long but in the short time the staff made a positive impression on me, giving me directions and happily agreeing to help me charge my power bank because my adapter was not working. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who visited Datong a few months ago, and I will do the same to anyone interested in exploring this city.
