We stumbled upon Southwest Grand Hotel due to a last-minute flight change, and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be! Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel.
🛏️ Stylish & Photogenic Rooms
The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results!
🍳 Breakfast That Delights Every Palate
The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them!
📍 Prime Location
Just a minute’s walk from Kokusai-dori (国際通り), the hotel is perfectly located for last-minute shopping or grabbing essentials. Super convenient and central!

As the nearby streets settle into a peaceful hush and most restaurants wind down with only a handful of diners, the lobby restaurants at Southwest Grand Hotel remain buzzing with energy. The lively atmosphere, filled with cheerful faces and clinking glasses, speaks volumes about the quality and charm of the hotel’s dining experience.
💭 Still Dreaming About It
Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!

PP¡P€First time in a capsule hotel, and it was better than I expected! Super clean, friendly staff, and I loved the public bath (close for cleaning during 10 AM - 4 PM: hptel c/o | c/i time) Guests can grab coffee/tea in the lounge and there's 24/7 drinking water. They even have amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shaving kits at the front desk. Plus, they provide pajamas, so you can just bring your luggage for shopping and not worry about packing PJs. Overall, I'm really happy and would totally stay here again next time.
FYI: The private and deluxe rooms offer more privacy.

PPengguna TetamuStay there for 3 nights. It’s a great option to stay in Naha, Okinawa. First, is the location, it’s only 3 minutes walk from Asahibashi station, 5 minutes walk to Bus terminal, and 20 minutes by train(metro) from airport. The second is the place itself. The room was exactly the same as advertise. It was clean, pretty fresh. The room had a microwave, a kettle, a fridge, and a washer/drier unit (plus laundry detergent). More like a mini studio, then a hotel room. Also, there is no everyday cleaning (maybe for additional fee). Only one of the staff spoke English, but they all try to do their best to communicate. Majority of information already translated to English. But for some items, for example, ac unit, washer/ driver, I used Google Translater (wasn’t convenient, but possible). The internet was good too, even stream Netflix without problem.

The concierge, café, and laundry area are all located on the second floor, where you’ll also find a display space showcasing artwork and merchandise by local artists, adding a charming creative touch.
Our room was clean and cozy, though slightly compact. We had to rearrange some furniture to open our luggage comfortably. The balcony was a highlight, offering a refreshing sea view and enhancing the overall relaxing, breezy atmosphere of the hotel.
Breakfast was enjoyable with a decent variety of options, and the quality was satisfying.
While the immediate surroundings are relatively quiet, it’s within walking distance to restaurants, AEON mart, and the popular Kokusai Dori Street, making it a good base for exploring the area.

청결도 : 방 청소를 요청하면 기본적인 청소만 해줍니다. 쓰레기통이나 봉투에 넣어두지 않으면 치우지 않습니다.
서비스 : 좋습니다. 로비에 마실 게 준비되어있고, 2층에 캐리어 보관함이 있습니다.
시설 : 나쁘지 않습니다. 하지만 방은 조그만합니다. 캐리어랑 놓고 하면 움직임에 불편함이 있습니다.
주변 이용시설 : 바로 옆에 편의점과 식당이 있습니다. 호텔 뒤에는 유흥주점들과 술집들이 좀 있는 거 같습니다. 호객행위가 많습니다.
단점 : 저녁만 되면 폭주족들이 겁나 돌아다닙니다. 3박 4일 있었는데 매일 봤습니다. 주변에 유흥주점들이 많은지 삐끼들이 많습니다.

MMr ChauThe room is spacious enough to open two large suitcases comfortably. The location is very convenient — just a short walk to the metro and also close to the ferry terminal. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the stay very pleasant.

KKiyoshi_TThe hotel is located near the Makishi station with 2 convenience store near by. Hotel offer ticket for welcome beer, the Orion band. You can redeem it in the bar near the lobby. Also, it is close to the Kokusai dori and go for food and find other staff there. The staff are nice and helpful too.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaNice hotel close to Naha city beach, Naminou Shrine, and only a few minutes drive to/from Naha airport (free shuttle service available at fixed times).
The hotel offers good value for money, with the hotel's onsen and breakfast buffet being the clear highlights.
Location is not super close to the Yui Rail station and there are many adult entertainment facilities behind the hotel - so keep that in mind if traveling with family. Walking to nearby convenience stores takes a few minutes, but the hotel has its own 24/7 store that is stocked with all the essentials
Check-in and check-out are done via self service terminals, which were quick and easy to use. But there are also staff members present who can assist and handle things like luggage storage.
Regarding the room, unfortunately there was lots of condensation building up on the AC unit - and with that unit being located right above the bed, occasionally drops of water would fall right onto the pillow and/or your head. Not sure what can be done about this, but I saw another review mentioning it and wanted to confirm that this is indeed one of the few unpleasant aspects of the room / the stay at this hotel.
