Pengguna TetamuThe Manila Hotel has an old but elegant and luxurious style. Marble and stone finishing, tall ceilings and a grand piano at the back with a musician playing pleasant music greets you as you walk through the entrance.
Lacking points from my personal experience:
1. The carpet floors need to be replaced. I had to change rooms because the first room I got had an unpleasant smell to it (they quickly changed my room after I went to the reception, so it wasn't terrible) and although I didn't notice until the end of my stay, the new room's carpet was frayed at the edges.
2. The night mode of the lights (many switches) completely cuts power to the power outlets. I didn't know and ended up waking up to a phone and power bank with a dying battery and needing to stay in the hotel a couple of hours until they finished charging. Maybe just a warning in the future?
The good parts:
1. The service! People are SO accommodating, pleasant and efficient. Reception staff, waiters, bell boys and basically everyone greets you with a smile and tries to solve any problems with utmost focus and cordiality.
2. Traditional pride. Traditional fashion exhibition at the front was a great touch to my visit. The whole place (restaurants, pools, spa, rooms, etc) add to the experience. I could have stayed in the hotel and felt like I hadn't missed Manila's charm.
3. Excellent location. I realised early on that I could literally see every single thing from my ”1 day tour of Manila” from my hotel room. Nothing says great location like this.

JA697896While the breakfast buffet was a notable highlight with its quality and variety, my overall stay was significantly hampered by procedural and service-related friction points.
Parking: A Major Inconvenience
The process for securing complimentary parking is excessively complicated and needs to be streamlined. For a 5-night stay, having to follow these steps every single day was truly exhausting and time-consuming:
Validate the ticket at the Front Desk for complimentary status.
Go to the Parking Cashier for a zero-value receipt.
Surrender this receipt at the parking exit.
This multi-step, daily requirement detracts significantly from the convenience expected of a hotel in this category, and I urge management to simplify it for long-term guests.
Front Desk & Check-In Issues
Service at the Front Desk also presented some challenges:
The check-in process was not smooth and took longer than expected.
I often had to wait for an extended period for the front desk to answer my phone calls, which was frustrating when trying to resolve issues or make simple requests.
Value for Money
The breakfast buffet, while excellent, is priced quite high, making it feel less like a value-add and more like an excessive cost for those paying in addition to their room rate.
Overall: The quality of the breakfast is great, but the cumbersome parking procedure and the inconsistent front desk service created daily friction that significantly impacted the overall comfort and convenience of my extended stay.

itsreallyjaineStaying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila.
The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.
If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila.

Pengguna Tetamuwe booked this trip to celebrate my 18th birthday, me and my friends enjoyed the amenities, the room was cold enough to keep the cupcakes in shape even if there was a refrigerator ( it was cold to the point na parang hotdog kami sa freezer 😆 ) 10/10 overall experience, would definitely book again!

Btw, All the staff were very patient, and the food was quite good.
I'll come again next time, I really like it here.

Stayed at Rizal Park Hotel and it honestly felt like stepping into another era—very Somewhere in Time kind of vibe. The building itself has a lot of character, which makes sense since it used to be the old Army Navy Club (built in 1911), and you can feel that old-world charm throughout the property.
Location is a major advantage—right beside Rizal Park, near the US Embassy, and overlooking Manila Bay. Great for staycations, especially if you want that sunset view. Convenience stores are about a 5-minute walk away, and food delivery is easily accessible.
We booked a junior suite and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was notably fresh-smelling, which stood out. Bed was comfortable, aircon was cold, and Wi-Fi was fast. The pool area was a highlight—relaxing with a great view of the bay, especially at sunset. The hotel also has a gym and sauna; we were able to use the sauna, which was a nice addition to the overall experience.
Most of the staff were friendly, often greeting us with smiles and good mornings/evenings, which made the stay more pleasant. Special mention to Ma'am Jenna from the amenities building—very friendly and accommodating. There were a few instances where some staff didn't greet, but overall service was still warm and welcoming.
That said, the building does show its age in some areas. There were occasional noises at night (likely ongoing maintenance or renovations), and some facilities feel dated—TV could definitely be upgraded to a smart TV. We also noticed some ceilings and walls with visible cracks and signs of mold, which could use better upkeep. Breakfast buffet was okay—decent, but not a standout.
Overall, still good bang for buck. Best suited for staycations or travelers who appreciate historic hotels with character rather than modern luxury. Would definitely come back.

kakigansauLocated on Ongpin Street, very near to all the popular Chinatown f&b oultlets and opposite to the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz (Binondo Church) so you wake up to the sounds of Church Bells.
The Hotel is quite dated but clean, would have been a great hotel during those days. Staff are friendly and approachable.
Just a heads up; they require a deposit per night. If you have a credit card you can pre-auth. Since I stayed for 1 night, I put 2000 piso cash for deposit. A family who checked in before me had 2 rooms for 5nights, had to put deposit of 2x5x2000piso=20,000piso (325usd).

Pengguna Tanpa NamaStayed at Hotel H2O with a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old. Its main advantage is the location inside the park, providing direct access to attractions and making it easy to return to the room for naps and breaks.
Pros
* Excellent location inside the park with easy access to attractions.
* Convenient for families with young children who need rest breaks.
* Staff quickly resolved a minor issue with a broken bidet upon arrival.
* Bed size is king as advertised.
Cons
* Cleanliness was adequate but not exceptional.
* No room service available.
* Restaurants are available on the ground floor and via GrabFood delivery, but in-room dining would be more convenient.
* The hotel’s restaurant feels disconnected from the overall hotel experience.
Recommendation
Hotel H2O is a good choice if your main goal is visiting the attractions, especially with young children. If you do not plan to spend time in the area, other hotels may offer better value.

Mel Harvey CondrillonMy stay at Manila Lotus Hotel was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming, always ready to assist with any requests, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel’s location is very convenient, especially for travelers who want easy access to key spots around Manila like the US Embassy - 10mins walk. It’s close to restaurants, shopping areas, and tourist attractions, making it a great base for exploring the city.
The room was clean, well-maintained, and provided a relaxing atmosphere after a long day out. It felt safe and comfortable, which is something I truly value when traveling.
Overall, Manila Lotus Hotel offers great value for money with its excellent service, strategic location, and cozy accommodations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Manila and would gladly stay here again.

Pengguna TetamuLocation is good , just few minutes walk to the key site seeing location. I spent one night only, the next day can start to move around the city inside the walls.
If you don’t want to walk , simply hop on the cycle or rent a bamboo bike 😉
