The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly, our room was (surprisingly) ready quite early and they allowed us to check in hours before (this was a nice treat). The location is great - minutes from the Bourne bridge, plenty of entertainment and restaurants nearby, easy to travel to and from (esp off season). Convenience stores and the like are right nearby. It's quiet and being right along the canal and walkway was SO lovely!!! They have a nice fire pit outside - we enjoyed that. The pool is nice. Small. Much smaller than it appears online. No reflection on the hotel/staff at all, but if it's busy in there, it can be LOUD. There are not enough seats for everyone if it's busy so just keep that in mind. We had a water view room with two queen beds - go for the water view, it's lovely and you can see the Bourne bridge from your room (well, we could) as well as the walkway along the canal. It was just lovely, really. We're looking forward to visiting again. We're pretty local so visiting was for something ”different” on a weekend and a bday celebration. Definitely a nice diversion from the status quo on a busy weekend.

We had a lovely stay at TownePlace in Wareham, MA, for just one night, because it was near some geocaches that we wanted to look for...and also certain members of my family wanted to swim in an indoor pool in February. The room (two queens plus sofa) was clean and cute. We're not accustomed to extended stay hotels, so it was surprising to see a fully-functional kitchen in the room. Looked more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. The indoor pool was clean and fun. My kids swam for hours. I noticed there was warm-weather outdoor seating, overlooking the cranberry bog, but too cold today to enjoy that. The free breakfast in the morning was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. When we checked out, we left a scavenger hunt for the maid: four different tips (dollar bills) hidden in four different places in the room. Hope they enjoyed the hunt! :) I must still be in a geocaching mood. Every staff member who worked Sat 02/11 to Sun 02/12 was ultra-friendly. It would be impossible to name all of them. Thanks for a fun weekend away!

We were passing through the Cape Cod area on our way to Boston and decided to spend the night and have a look around. The Earl was ideal for our simple needs. First, the motel is not far from the major north-south MA highways that run between CT and Boston, so we didn’t feel like we were too far off-track. Second, our room was much bigger than expected, with a sliding glass door that opened onto a patio overlooking a grassy commons area and duck pond. Finally, the room was outfitted with a fridge, micro, and television, and the large bathroom was clean and comfortable. In sum, a surprisingly good experience for a property that labels itself a “motel”.
