Centurion Hotel Ueno was a complete disappointment, falling short of basic hospitality standards. The deception started right at check-in: the room was explicitly advertised and booked as a ”Casual Double Bed,” but what we actually received was a cramped single bed. This blatant misrepresentation immediately compromised the comfort of our stay.

The lack of care extended into the bathroom, which was a major letdown. The sink and shower area were marred by very bad, visible marks that made the entire space feel neglected and unhygienic. For a hotel that positions itself in a convenient location like Ueno, the absolute disregard for accurate room descriptions and rigorous housekeeping is unacceptable.

Location is perfect — only a 5-minute walk from the station, making it very convenient for getting around. I stayed for 5 nights and the accessibility was definitely one of the biggest advantages. The hotel is also next to a nice garden, which provides a pleasant atmosphere and a relaxing place to walk around. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and places to explore nearby, so the surrounding area is very convenient.

However, the room was very small, and considering the high price, I expected better value for money. While the location and surroundings are excellent, I believe there are other hotels that can offer a better overall experience at a similar price point.

I enjoy the stay over here, highly recommended if you are looking for budget stays especially the location!

THE ROOM IS TOO SMALL. I have been visiting to Japan specially Tokyo for quite a few times, this is the smallest hotel I have even been…
We booked a room for 4 and we can barely open one of our luggage, with this pricing I can book other better place of hotel in Tokyo near the yamanote line such as Ikebukuro

The front lobby looks pretty and very clean. The room we were given had a hold on the curtain from previous smoking burn and room smells so bad despite the smking treatment mentioned when reserving the room. Other than this, location is the best and easy to lots of restaurants.

Location is absolutely perfect. Very well connected with 4 metros stations nearby. Room is bigger than average in Tokyo. Staff was helpful. They have small kids corner so our 5 year old can play a bit while we were waiting at reception. Lots of food options nearby, it is a busy area late night but we did not hear much noise. Rooms has windows however those are facing the wall of the next building and it is kind of dark even with curtains open. We stayed there initially for 4 nights and then decided to extend for another 2 night as we liked the place.

well located and generally clean, except for you, but well I think it must be difficult to keep clean with the number of people. there are not enough toilets for all the people. The bathrooms are clean, well appointed and airy. The beds are clean and comfortable. Negative point: all the lockers are located in one room, there is a lot of traffic in a room and some guests allow themselves to talk loudly while others are asleep. perhaps they feel that it does not matter since it is not their room

I lost my passport but they helped me to find it. And I faced an issue regarding my reservation but they helped it too!
It was two ladies, 01/18(Sun) around 4:30 PM. Please give them a compliment.
The room was big enough for two grown men and everything was clean and quite.
The location was perfect. It was in the middle of Tokyo so it took around 30~40 mins to get the places we had to go.
And also there are some nice Izakaya and Yakotori places around the hotel.
It was such a good experience for both of us. Thank you for the support again.

This place is good and very near to the train station. The buffet is good but not so fantastic. Also same food selection for the whole stay hence a bit not so exciting but just nice to fill up the stomach.

This product offers good value for its price, with solid build quality and reliable performance in daily use. It meets expectations and works as intended without major issues. Overall, it’s a worthwhile purchase. If it fits your needs and budget, you can consider buying it with confidence.

You have to travel to 8th floor from your own floor in order to exit and transfer to another elevator. There is only 1 elevator on each side, which make the waiting time quite long. The room superior is nice and wide and considerably quiet. Luggage storage is free on the day of arrival, but cost 500 JPY upon checking out.
