Pengguna TetamuAmazingly clean hotel with tip top service. Breakfast was great and delicious. Many small touches in the room made it a lovely experience such as complimentary fruits basket, a bad with a note with some scented amenities, tea leaves for tea set instead of the usual tea bags, Japanese style toilet bowl. You can arrange for a pickup from the train station 1 day earlier if you are arriving by train. The hotel is a out halfway up the mountain. There is a shuttle bus station right outside the hotel where u can take to near the peak. Also right beside the hotel is a 1-2km walking path to 1 of the sights - well worth a walk with the scenery along the wa

I spent two nights at this beautiful hotel, on a visit to Emeishan with my girlfriend. It was an amazing experience! First of all, the pick-up from the train station by the hotel owner was really a welcome touch — he helped us greatly throughout our stay, making sure we had the best possible experience in Emeishan. The room itself was beautiful — amazing views from our own private balcony; a very tasteful, new and comfortable interior; impeccably clean; and a great selection of fruit, snacks, etc. in the room. A beautiful and convenient location too. The breakfast was really good — lots of dishes, and both days were different. It was lovely to sit on the balcony in the morning, looking out at mountains, eating a delicious breakfast and drinking coffee. I would highly recommend visiting Emeishan itself, and I think this hotel is the perfect base for a trip there — the next day, we visited Leshan giant Buddha (not far away by train), before returning to Chengdu in the evening. Overall, a great place to stay, and I definitely want to visit again!

Pengguna TetamuI can't say enough about how stunning this hotel is. Nestled in a breathtaking mountain area, the natural beauty all around is truly captivating.
The hospitality we experienced was exceptional. Our host went above and beyond, assisting us with everything we needed. He even provided transportation and cooked delicious meals for us, making our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient.
Our room was nothing short of spectacular. We were given a top-floor suite, boasting a spacious terrace with panoramic views. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery.
The breakfast each morning was delightful, offering a variety of tasty options. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we can't wait to return.

PraisieLe Méridien Emei was the best part of my Emei trip, especially with the bad weather. Spacious room with a nice mountain view. Loved the large bathtub — perfect for a hot soak in the cold. Good location with restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. Short ride to 报国寺站 to take the bus up to Mount Emei. Breakfast mostly local, but basic options like bread, eggs and sausages available. Seems popular with families — many staying over the weekend.

Pengguna TetamuThis was a lovely, quiet, comfortable, great hotel with the loveliest staff members. Nothing was too much to ask. The breakfast and dinner were both amazing, although some of the local delicacies I worried we didn’t show the appreciation they deserved for, given our limited English taste buds.
We used this hotel for our base to hike Mount Emei and explore nature. They were happy to arrange a car and a guide for us at very short notice. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we hope to be back.

NNH1999This review is extremely late. Apologies to the incredible staff.
STAFF APPRECIATION: I was cared for this time by Xiao-Ya, Xiao-Li, the driver Master Bao and Ms. Xu in the restaurant. Due to the nature of my work, when I travel it is always late at night. Even though it was after 9pm when I arrived, I was still picked up at the railway station and taken safely to the hotel. Not only was I kindly received when I arrived, but my room had also been upgraded for free to the Cloud Room. The next day I started out early in order to see as much of the area as I could. I had many questions about where to go, how to get there, and how to purchase tickets and the staff answered them promptly and completely even including screenshots and step-by-step directions. They also offered transportation to and from one of the sites and helped me at the ticket office. I cannot stress how kind, warm, professional, and patient everyone was with me especially with my limited Chinese and I appreciate it so, so much.
HOTEL REVIEW: Quite by happy coincidence, this is the second Solo Wandering Hotel I have stayed at and I will now actively seek them out when I travel. They are the whole package and given the price and the many hotel options, that is something I seek out. However, the Wandering franchise truly takes it to another level. From the staff to the location to the rooms, everything has the feel of restful retreat with every need catered to. As with the last location, this hotel is also super conveniently located: just steps or a quick golf cart ride away from the major attractions I’d come to see such as the Great Buddha and temples and the cruise ship. The views are indescribable, the location quiet and serene a welcome respite from city light and noise pollution.
On my arrival I was greeted with warm milk and snacks before bed. The minibar was among the best stocked I have ever seen. They also sold wine, which I treated myself to as well, given it has been difficult for me to find that particular brand and type of wine where I live. After returning home, I wish I’d purchased more! The room truly gave one the feeling of walking and sleeping amongst the clouds, like something out of a costume drama. Unfortunately, I came late and was unable to use the outdoor pool. Maybe next time!! The only drawback was that there were a few bugs inside, but that comes with being right in the middle of nature and having the doors and windows open. I was advised to keep them closed for this reason and insect repellant was also offered. I slept quite well and had no insect bites when I left. ^_^
Quite possibly my favorite part of my stay was the dining. I am a foodie and definitely judge a place by what they offer and how it appeals to my senses. Teatime here is a MUST if you have the time. I indulged after walking around all day and before checking out and departing for home (I was graciously offered an extended checkout when I was late returning from one tour). It was the perfect afternoon refresher. The appearance, scent, flavor, taste, and temperature were all perfect. I was alone and couldn’t finish everything and it really felt like such a waste. After check-out, I received a gift bag with tasty local snacks.
TLDR; Staff goes above and beyond regardless of the hour. They are a great resource for information about the local sites. The location is quiet, picturesque, and conveniently located. The amenities are top of their class. 10/10 recommend.

Excellent location in the heart of the lively Shizhong district. Very well served by public transport. Easy and direct access to and from the train station. The Big Buddha site is a 40-minute walk away. Considering the price paid for the room and the three included meals, the overall value for money is more than worthwhile. The reception staff were very welcoming. My room on the 6th floor was spacious (large enough to have a bathtub!), clean, quite bright, with comfortable bedding. My room overlooked the central roundabout, yet the area was quiet. The bathroom was a good size and clean. A hairdryer and electric kettle were available in the room. Bottled water was provided daily. The in-room Wi-Fi was very good. There was a huge projection screen, but I didn't use it. The electrical outlets require an adapter to plug in European devices. The central air conditioning was efficient. A mirror in the room wluld have been a welcome addition but was missing, as a dedicated luggage storage area, like is common in many hotels in China, was needed to avoid having to leave luggage on the open floor for the entire stay. The breakfast restaurant is the hotel's biggest drawback. Located on the 8th floor, it offers a buffet breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This place isn't a restaurant, but at best a market stall. It's noisy, too small, dirty, and in a state of disrepair. The quality of the buffet is mediocre. There are no drinks at breakfast except soy milk. This was my biggest disappointment, as I like to make meals a moment of peace and indulgence. The common areas are not cleaned. The carpet in the hallway outside my room wasn't brushed once in four days. It was filthy. The ashtrays in the hallways filled up with trash over the course of my four-day stay and were never emptied. The laundry area was completely uninviting. In short, the hotel felt very average and didn't match the photos plastered everywhere, making it my most disappointing accommodation experience during my month in China.

Pengguna TetamuGreat service from all the staff here, who took good care of our needs during our stay. The free transfer from train station to the hotel is convenient. Special mention to Mr Li, the manager of the hotel, who was easy to deal with, and he tried his best to resolve issues during our stay.
The hotel is renovated within last few years, looks good, is clean, but the functionality of the rooms is not as well designed as it could have been. Having said that, it was overall a pleasant stay.
Location of the hotel is within a short walking distance to the Tourist Centre to enter Emeishan, and is situated right next to the river. Restaurant options nearby are limited however, and many not opened, perhaps due to current low season for tourists. Hotel breakfast is descent with reasonable range of food to choose from.

It is a bit run down but it suits your needs. I was on the 4th floor and didn't find it that nice in the sense that a mosquito still flew in and bit me during the night (you could hear it in the room). And because there's no solid wall separating you from the living room (there's just a shelf), there wasn't any way to effectively shut the mosquito out. The night porridge also came with a piece of hair in it so from that point on, I stopped asking for the nighttime porridge.
The staff are not that nice and are actually quite rude. For example, the lady who made my milk tea and most of the front-desk staff with the exception of one. I have to shout out the shuttle driver; he was so incredibly friendly and really made me feel welcome, while everyone else made me feel like a hassle. My Chinese isn't that great but I try my best, and the lady who made the free milk tea acted like a burden when I asked her to repeat things and didn't even bother explaining what it was. They are not that friendly over WeChat either compared to other hotels I've stayed at.
Again, I have to shout out the shuttle driver. I never got his name but he was so cheerful and nice. He also helped unclog the toilet several times; not sure if there was some kind of plumbing issue but it clogged almost every single time and so I unfortunately called him a lot. But he was so patient and helpful every single time and he is the highlight of my stay. Everyone else should adopt his attitude rather than being cold over the WeChat customer service support chat, or basically shouting at you because you are having trouble understanding the free milk tea options.
