Hotel Hot Springs di Leshan

We initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff. When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough. If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting. A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance. If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay. A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

Our stay was truly exceptional from beginning to end. The rooms were excellent—very comfortable, clean, spacious, and well maintained—but what really made this hotel special was the incredible level of hospitality and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel prepared a special welcome dinner for us, and they also organized a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. They went far beyond what we normally expect from a hotel. Transportation was arranged for us to different tourist attractions, as well as to train and bus stations, making it extremely easy to explore the area. The staff also helped us plan our excursions to the different mountains nearby, giving us recommendations and making sure we were properly prepared. For our excursions, they even prepared lunch boxes with food and provided shoe covers, rain protection, umbrellas, and everything else we might need depending on the weather. These small details made a huge difference and allowed us to simply enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. What impressed us the most was how attentive, kind, and proactive the entire staff was. They didn't just provide accommodation—they genuinely cared about making our whole trip as comfortable, easy, and enjoyable as possible. Whenever we needed something, they were ready to help, often anticipating what we might need before we even asked. The combination of excellent rooms, outstanding service, transportation, excursion assistance, thoughtful meals, and personal attention made this one of the most memorable hotel experiences of our trip. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel, especially to anyone planning to explore the mountains and attractions in the area. Before coming to Emei Utopia Hentique Resort, I called and used their free gift pick-up service from Emeishan railway station. One of their staff was waiting with a sign and welcomed us warmly. The drive to the resort was very good. Upon arriving at the hotel, employees at reception helped us with a lot of information about the Mount Emei climb. The room is very well designed, a mix of traditional and modern architecture. Definitely, a room highlight is the garden with hot springs, I enjoyed it immensely. I would definitely come back to this place, I recommend it.

We had a 3d2n stay at the 绿竹 guestroom and experience was very enjoyable. The room was comfy, clean, and the service was impeccable. Food (both breakfast and dinner) were extremely tasty. The hotel is located away from the hustle of the touristy area and provided a sense of serenity, an escape from the crowds, shrowded among mist and forest. Transport to-fro the 五显冈 bus station was provided and they were very responsive to messages on WeChat. Highly recommended 整体体验非常棒！ 服务周到、 食物好吃、客房舒服干净。 世外桃源。

The good: - the location is fantastic with lots of hiking nearby and easy to get to the buses for Mt. Emei - the staff are very friendly The bad: - the hotel is definitely looking tired and dated: chipped woodwork in the rooms, flaking paint on the balcony. - only one of the many bars is open. Everytime we wanted to order something we were shown a huge menu, only to then be told most things were not available - this included wines, beers and food. - the hotel was incredibly quiet with the restaurant and bar being completely empty most of the time we were there. Whilst not the hotel’s fault, it dead mean a complete lack of atmosphere. - various items were listed as included when booking with Trip.com - none of them were available or in fact included. - when advise was needed from reception: the information given was often not accurate. The staff were wonderfully friendly, they just did not seem to have accurate information or to check it. Overall: this was the most expensive hotel booked during my three week tour of China and the most disappointing. I would unfortunately not recommend, especially in low season.

Zhongzhu Mountain Hotel has a stunning location, nestled right on the edge of a lush forest. It is the most tranquil setting you could ask for with a beautiful lake, green bamboo and large trees all around. The hot spring indoor and outdoor pools were just what we needed after a day at Emei Mountain. The service provided was so helpful and courteous throughout our stay, from reception to house keeping, hot spring areas to restaurant staff to concierge. The breakfast buffet was excellent with high quality Chinese and Western choices. We also loved the walkway around the lake in the hotel ground as well as the paths along the stream and forests a short distance from the hotel entrance. I also enjoyed the activities provided for guests - calligraphy session and fragrant pouch making session. Our three night stay was most enjoyable and relaxing. We would like to return one day.

Good hotel in Emeishan, near the railway station. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Very convenient location for a trip up to the Golden Summit on Mount Emei. Staff were helpful with ordering takeaway food in the evening and providing a free shuttle service to the Bus station to the scenic area the next morning.

Very nice hotel to stay at if you are visiting emeishan. It is very close to the tourist center to hop on the bus up to Leidongping Station. It is also close to many restaurants and the Emeishan train station. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and kind. They helped me plan my route and time it to make sure I catch my train in time. They helped me navigate the app to buy the tickets for the entrance, bus, and cable car. You can order food delivery to your hotel room. The breakfast buffet was delicious and filling. There is a hot tub, parking lot, backyard hang out, laundry room, free ice cream, luggage storage, etc. as well.

This is not a 4 or 5 start resort. It’s a 5 star room down the river. The restaurant was closed when we were there, so called gym does not exist at all, swimming pool is small like a pond and the bigger one is for kids. There is no garden or anything that covers the road and the bridge you can hear easily while staying down the swimming pool. The big bonus is the bathroom- big and modern exactly like on the picture and the spring water hot tub that works well and can create a great time during the night as you can hear the river. Light system is amazing. You can find any light that you need to set up a mood. People are very nice and friendly. The front desk does not have ‘ business card’ and location of the hotel was written down on a paper. Really little things that shows this place has a potential but not in the current set up. You can’t lock the room door when you are not inside- only the garden gate. Who would design such a thing? I know it’s a safe destination but still. There is no safe either. People create this place special but it does not meet a high standard resort score.
