Hotel berhampiran Plaza De Escobar, Buenos Aires

Fuimos con mi pareja y nos dieron una habitación con dos camas habiendo avisado en la reserva que quería una habitación doble para dos adultos pareja. Al llegar solicite el cambio y no contaban con habitaciones disponibles de esa característica. En segundo lugar no pudimos abonar con tarjeta de crédito, una vergüenza! En tercer lugar la limpieza del spa es espantosa, sumado al reducido espacio para tanta gente. Deberían organizar turnos o no permitir que tantagente concurra al lugar al mismo tiempo. Por otro lado, si es un spa y lugar de relax no puede haber superpoblación de niños saltando jugando y gritando!! Además de lo ruidoso que es el lugar por el sonido de los motores del jacuzzi que hacen una acústica espantosa. Sinceramente esta lejos de ser un lugar para relaj****. Hay pocas reposeras para la cantidad de gente dentro del spa y poco orden ya que las personas ocupan las mismas con las toallas que cuando uno ingresa no sabe si están ahí tiradas ocupando un lugar o si las personas se fueron y las dejaron tiradas. Además con las tarifas que manejan no puede ser que no brinden batas y que estas tengan un costo adicional tan alto!! Por último, los precios del restaurante del hotel me parecieron carísimos!! Ah!! El wifi no funciona nunca y las claves no están disponibles en la habitación con lo cual hay que llamar para conocerlas para que no funcionen. Finalemente en la habitación una cafetera que no funciona, más productos que se encuentran para consumir sin lista de precio, lo cual presta a confusión si son de cortesía o se pagan, cuestión que uno se entera al retir**** cuando te cobran una fortuna por una botella de agua y unas papas fritas! La verdad, no volvemos ni lo recomendamos!

I've been staying at Air B& B's since 2017, being La Habana; Cuba my first experience ever so Trip Advisor (finally) is great to see I can now review Air BB's and by the way just a ”constructive” criticism more ”categories” should be added: trains, airlines etc. (just saying). Here we go: As a native Argentinean I go home at least once a year to visit my family, obvioulsy 90 % of the time to & from Buenos Aires, not I'm not from B.A. (Buenos Aires) but I either fly to or from to continue my trip to my hometown. My last time there I stayed at Top Rentals Buenos Aires, my very first time using this company and I must say I was really impressed ! The property is located on Esmeralda Street so centrally located is within walking distance pretty much anywhere downtown, super safe, always be mindful of your surroundings like everywhere else and do please ( can't type all caps) but NO flashy jewelry or nothing fancy while on the streets. The check in process is located in one of the upper floors of the Building Complex, but upon arrival the security officer at the lobby will give you specific instructions where to go. Rooms are so spacious, clean, beautiful views of the area and a small balcony to sip your malbecs, with the River Plate on the background. The staff is super attentive, apartments comes with toiletries, towels, and utensils for cooking, but really ?? You are in The Paris of South America so who will want to cook ? I couldn’t use the pool too cold for me. I highly recommend it you won't regret it, so good this place is that with my luck!!! One of the South American Presidents (don't know whom) decided to stay in that same building at the time of my visit, no wonder why there were so many police and security so if this place is good enough for a president of country I'm guessing is good enough for us to!! 725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.

We just spent a week in Buenos Aires and this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was terrific. The room was a bit small but still quite manageable. Bring slippers, as the tile floor in the room gets quite cold. I'd also recommend you bring a few coat hangars with you, the wire type you get from your dry cleaners that you don't mind leaving behind. There isn't a hairdryer in the room but you can get one from the front desk. You can also get an iron and ironing board from housekeeping if you need them. There is no U.S. type electrical outlet in the room but there is one European type. The included breakfast was adequate--pastries, cold cuts, dry cereal, cheese, coffee, tea, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. If you arrive early, the front desk will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. There are plenty of attractions within walking distance of the hotel, as well as excellent restaurants. Just a block away is a small, family-run place called Viejo Alsina that features excellent food at a very inexpensive price. The famous San Telmo Market is an easy half-,mile walk. For some reason Uber cannot pick you up or drop you off near the hotel. It's about a quarter-mile to the nearest pickup point. However, the car service (Talixo) we booked to and from the airport was allowed to pull up at the lobby door. That was $74 round trip. All in all, this hotel was perfect and the price was a bargain ($321 for the week). That may have been the winter rate, but winter is the best time to visit BA.
