"Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Royal Pearl Island. Being a very new hotel, you immediately notice the fresh atmosphere and high-end feel. It features two large pools and a great pool bar where you can relax with a drink. I also appreciated that the team genuinely cares about making a positive impression, but several operational issues made me question whether the hotel lives up to the exclusive price point it aims for. Here are a few key areas where management needs to step up: Pool Maintenance: One of the pools had a green algae issue and was closed in the evening. While it didn't ruin our night as we don't swim late, it is completely unacceptable for a high-end resort—especially for guests paying top tier for swim-up suites. Food Quality: Breakfast was decent, but the main buffet is far too basic for a €400–€500/night property. The à la carte options lacked soul—not terrible, but certainly not memorable or flavorful. Service Training: You can feel the staff lacks experience. We constantly had to hunt down waiters for drink refills; half the time, we finished breakfast without any drinks being offered or refilled. Privacy: Most doors in the resort have proper locks, yet the public poolside restroom door didn't lock at all—not a great feeling when using the facility. Housekeeping: Our Nespresso pods weren't replenished on the second day, even after I specifically asked housekeeping for them. Room Decor: The rooms are spacious, modern, and cozy, but the walls are completely bare with zero decoration. It leaves the room feeling unfinished. Spa: The spa area is surprisingly small for a resort of this scale. Uncomfortable Staff Encounter: When I asked the lifeguard a simple question about the sun loungers, he randomly warned me not to steal towels or I’d be charged €60. It was an awkward, off-putting moment that made me feel profiled as a thief. Checkout vs. Breakfast Timing: Checkout is at 11:00 AM, but breakfast runs until 11:30 AM. Having to check out before eating breakfast felt unnecessary and frustrating. Safety Hazard: The pool ceramics are extremely slippery. I slipped while entering the pool and was lucky to catch my balance—had I fallen, my entire vacation could have been ruined. This is a severe safety hazard that needs immediate attention. The Bright Spots & Verdict: On a positive note, we received wonderfully kind service from the bartenders, Baha and George. Additionally, reception kindly allowed us to use the resort facilities after checking out while we waited for our late ferry to Mykonos. Royal Pearl Island really could be a true pearl, but management urgently needs to invest in staff training and minor property upgrades to justify its luxury positioning."

"The reception staff are good. However, the hotel needs a bit of improvement as everything is too old and there are missing items in the room. For example, after a shower, there's no heated towel rail or even a hook for towels. The bathroom doors look very old. I understand it's an economy room, and I'm not expecting luxury, but seeing that door while using the toilet isn't very pleasant. There should also be a full-length mirror in the room."

"We went there with my husband for the weekend and we were amazed because we felt the warm hospitality and the feeling that we were at home. We met the owners and they cared for us like we were friends. Perfect pillows and mattresses , every thing was so clean and new! Parking, easy access to the centre!
