Bella hotel is located in the main street of Selfoss which is at the same time a part of the Route 1 - traffic road which encircles the entire island. Therefore, you might conclude it's a busy road, so getting a room on the opposite side would be good. However, that's pure luck depending on the email you'll get, as there's no one in the hotel. Like many others, this hotel is also unstaffed to cut expenses. A day before arrival you'll be emailed the code which is valid for entering the hotel and your room as well. Lobby is a small room with seating area and elevator. Room is basic - it was clean, with beds, refrigerator, small closet and fair size bathroom. That's it. Free parking in front and around the hotel. Location is good, everything in walking distance, no need for car (we left it parked). THINGS TO DO: Sundholl Selfoos public baths - 5 min walk, normal entry fee (read that review). Great place to relax after all day out. DINING: I suggest going to ”Old Dairy Food Hall” - 10 min walk. Mall like live cooking restaurants with burgers, Thai, fish, Mex,.... Good value for money.

We had a nice night at Country Dream. Our room although not large, was comfortable. we had 1 bedroom and a pull out sofa.... but wait.... The pull out sofa was not like any normal one where you have to pull everything off and have a bar in your back, it was a case of simply pulling a cord and the whole sofa turned upside down into a bed that was as comfortable as the bed in the bedroom. It took 20 seconds to pull out the bed and 20 seconds to put it back the next morning. The room had a small kitchenette which was adequate for cooking a simple meal. There was also a hot tub available to use with our room. As a bonus, we were invited to go into the stable to visit the owner's very friendly Icelandic horses. He also organised for a beautiful Icelandic Sheepdog to come and visit us. Country Dream is on a horse farm about 5 - 15 minutes drive from the main road between Geysir and Selfoss depending on the conditions. In the right conditions, it would give a great opportunity to see the Northern lights. If you are staying here in winter, I recommend that you ask your rental car company to provide you with a car with metal beads (studs) in the tyres as the road was very icy when we left due to rainfall and freezing temperatures.

Absolutely amazing our stay at this hotel. After 2 rough nights in others hotels this was a cherry on the top. It was my husband and I anniversary so we decided to booked this hotel to chill and enjoy our time. Staff were nice at the lobby, hotel comes with free parking, lobby was very nice and stylish, room were spacious and super modern, free buffet style breakfast A+++ and for 30 dollars extra you could use the sauna, steam and massage facility. Hotel its in downtown selfoss so everything was nearby and it's such a cute little town. I definitely recommend this hotel worth the extra money.

Great location and nice view from our king room with river view. Bed was comfy and room was very clean. Desk personnel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I can't comment on the value, as it was part of a package tour as prices were not broken out of total, but we would definitely stay there again. We had prepaid for breakfast, which was excellent, but we did not otherwise dine at the hotel restaurant, so can't comment on that.

This was a surprise weekend away for my wife as it was her birthday. We have never been to Iceland before so it was an opportunity to broaden our horizons, the hotel was amazing, we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff from the initial check in right the way through to our early morning departure The restaurant service was amazing, they were so attentive, the food was delicious and even thinking about it now is making my mouth water. The overall venue is fantastic, it's a series of buildings, ours had 6 bedrooms and at the end there was a kitchen/chill out area that then leads out to a raised deck with two hot tubs that were for all of this building. We were so impressed with the venue, the staff and all the facilities, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we hope to return there again in the future

We stayed here for one night and found to be comfortable enough. Located in centre of Selfoss only minutes away from the local shops and 15 minutes drive from Kerid crater. It’s on the camping ground offering something for all. For the price you pay can’t really complaint about the place. The staff is very polite and friendly, ample parking, cottages are big enough for a quick stay during a road trip. When we entered the cottage we had a stale smell which eventually went away once we settled in or we got used to it. It is maintained to a good standard but could do with a bit of maintenance on door and windows. Has basic amenities for a self catering stay. We opted for the one with shower, clean with toiletries and fresh towels provided. Every time we ran the water the sink and the drains would stink, may be could be improved. Overall a good and comfortable stay.
