"The hotel deserves an excellent mark. The hotel is situated next to Central Station; nevertheless, it is a very calm area. I was on my way from Mt. Fuji to take the Shinkansen to Osaka, so I decided to stay in the little town of Numazu to get real fresh sashimi at the Fish Market. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu was a perfect solution. The room was very bright, clean, and spacious. The personnel were very kind and spoke English. If you are lucky enough, you'll get a room with a view of Mt. Fuji just from your window. So, I can give only positive feedback. Highly recommended!"

"This was our second time booking with this hotel. It is one of the most luxurious places we've stayed. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the toiletries available in the room are great quality, the buffet breakfast is tasty and varied. The private bath on the balcony was really nice after a long, cold day (although it was a little too hot for me to stay in as long as I wanted, wish we could adjust adding in a bit of cold water). If we're ever in the mood to relax again in Hakone, we'll look at booking here first!"

No beef , only lamb meat is not fresh. Not satisfied with the food quality. We wanna have cup noodles after meal. Breakfast is slight better. - **Variety:** Insufficient choices (both Western & Japanese); lacked local/seasonal specialties expected at onsen hotels. Pretty disappointed. We been to many onsen hotel in Japan. Never encountered this. - **Service/Clarity:** Buffet poorly organized; unclear signage led to confusion over food availability. - **Expectations:** Meals didn’t showcase regional ingredients or highlight local cuisine like other onsen resorts. Hakone is famous onsen should showcase their seasonal ingredients in this region. **Summary:** Strong potential with modern facilities, but **critical improvements needed in dining quality** and **room accessibility** to meet onsen hotel standards."

"If you only want to visit the sights outside Hakone (such as the shrine, Owakudani, and Hakone Motokan), this hotel is a good choice. It's about a 10-minute walk up and down from Toendai Station (the most convenient location in the Hakone suburbs). You don't have to wait for the 20-30 minute bus. The public onsen is a kind of bathhouse, so it's rarely crowded. There's free table tennis and mahjong inside the hotel. Only the karaoke costs money. The large number of people makes it a great way to spend your evenings in Hakone. Although it says there's no room service, there's maid service. Luggage can be delivered to Hakone Yumoto, and there's luggage storage. The service is excellent. However, be aware that breakfast is only available by reservation, not walk-in. Dinner usually ends before 7:00 PM, and after that, you can only buy rice and noodles in the lobby. The microwave (BF1) is located one floor below the lobby (1F), which is quite far from the rooms (1-4). The WiFi is weak and unstable, so you may need to use your own data."

"The hotel service is pretty good. Be sure to book a package that includes dinner. This will be very convenient. The room was okay, quite clean and hygienic, the hot spring was pretty good, and the dinner was overall quite sumptuous."

"We stayed in Hakone for one night for the onsen and Ryokan experience. While this hotel is certainly more budget than all of the nearby fancy hotels, it is a great option in an otherwise very expensive area. We had the traditional Japanese room and slept on relatively comfortable futons on the tatami mat. Dinner was included in the rate and consisted of a very large and tasty hotpot which we heated up on our Japanese low table. As others have said the hotel is located up a HUGE hill, however it wasn’t a problem for us as we used the luggage service at Hakone station to send our bags to and from the hotel so we could focus on sightseeing. Buy some drinks and snacks at the mini market before you walk (or tram) up, because trust me you won’t want to go back down again ;-)"

"Facilities: This onsen ryokan is conveniently located right next to Odawara Station, making it incredibly easy to visit Hakone. You can even do a day trip there using just the Hakone Free Pass. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean. Environment: The views from the higher floors are fantastic, offering a distant view of the ocean. Service: The buffet breakfast was exceptionally generous and delicious – highly recommended!"

"The location of this hotel is amazing! ! It is especially suitable for people who want to go on vacation. It may not be as convenient as Gora to travel, but the hotel actually has a shuttle bus to Togendai Station (a shared station for the cable car and the pirate ship) in the morning and a bus back from the Prince Hotel at Lake Ashi in the afternoon (reservations are required in advance with the front desk). It is suitable for tourists who want to take the Hakone tourist route. The general route is: take a bus to Togendai Station in the morning, take the cable car to see Owakudani, go to Sounzan Station (Hakone cu-mo), then take the mountain train to Gora, or even Hakone Yumoto, and then return to Togendai in the same way to take the pirate ship. After the pirate ship comes out of Moto-Hakone Port, there is a shuttle bus to the Prince Hotel at Lake Ashi, and you can take the shuttle bus back to the hotel from there (you can communicate with the front desk for details, and the front desk is very polite and patient). In addition, the hotel also has a shuttle bus that can take guests to the nearest bus stop (Sengoku Kogen Station) at any time. In terms of the room, from the Tokyo Hotel to this one, the room is really much bigger, and it faces the golf course, there are mountains in the distance, and it also encountered a snowy day, which is very beautiful! The view of the hotel restaurant is also beautiful (p9). Dinner is a semi-buffet with a Japanese style. Since there is nothing to eat around, it is still recommended. The breakfast is also very good~ The hotel provides English and Japanese services. Most of the front desk staff speak English well. Some elderly people will use their iPads to communicate with Chinese manual translators when they find that they can't understand (this surprised me, it feels so rich). There is no barrier to communication if you don't speak Japanese. The hotel restaurant also has ********* waitresses who can communicate in Chinese~ The hot spring is very good! The hotel sign says ”Laboko Hot Spring”, but it's a pity that the outdoor hot spring was under renovation when I went there this time, so there was only an indoor one, but it was also very comfortable~ and There is a small hill at the Sengoku Plateau bus station (it's called something like grassland). The view after climbing up is also amazing! (p10, 11) I will probably stay here again when I come to Hakone in the future! I like this hotel very much~ btw their Prince Hotel in Lake Ashi is right next to the lake, and there is a bus to Ryugu Palace, which looks very good!"

"The scenery and style are amazing, and the location is convenient. The mountain bus line H can reach the door. However, you have to climb a flight of stairs from the door to the front desk. You can't see any service staff at all. You can only climb up with your suitcase by yourself. It's very tiring. You have to carry it down by yourself after checking out. It's too hard. In addition, the service attitude and standards of the men who can speak Chinese among the service staff are significantly lower than those of other English or Japanese speaking staff! When I checked in, a girl who could speak English helped me with the check-in, and her attitude was very good! The most complaining thing is the food, which is very unpalatable. After a trip to Japan, it was the most unpalatable one. Whether it was dinner or breakfast, whether it was Japanese or Western, it was unpalatable. It was very unpalatable."

"Beautiful resort in the middle of a remote forest area, perfect for relaxation and connecting with nature. The rooms are cosy and clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with chefs preparing freshly made dishes right in front of you! We did find a bug in the room but the hotel is in the middle of the nature so we didn't mind really. The onsen was ok but it was not mixed. Note that if you are not arriving by car and you have luggage, the hotel is uphill so better contact the staff in advance so they can arrange a pick up for you."
