"The hotel is in the lake area, the surrounding environment is very good, but it should be self-driving. About 100 meters below the hotel is a commercial street in the village. There are food and drink. The hotel also has a restaurant. The scenery is good, but the price is more expensive and the taste is the average British. The parent-child room is small in size, but there are two beds and the scenery outside the large windows is good. There are several lakes nearby, which can be recommended for bean bags. There is also an old bar below the hotel, which is also a century-old bar."

"Delighted to arrive at Bluebird Lodge after a long walk from Ulveston. We were made very welcome and really appreciated the bath in the en-suite. Breakfast was just right with a lovely selection of goodies to choose from. Thanks also for booking a table at the Coniston Inn opposite. Ideal location and ideal place to stay. Good job thanks."

"The current owners have kept the Swallows and Amazons themed bed and breakfast in authentic condition. The food and coffee was top notch and quite good value. Staff were attentive and friendly. Just watch out for the low beams. A worthwhile visit, especially who has read the books."

"A beautiful little hotel, I think there are only 6 rooms though. All staff were on hand for any queries and help in any way they can. During my stay it was lovely and sunny and they have an outdoor area idea for a while in the sun 😂. If you have any sort of disability and find it difficult to climb stairs this place is probably not for you, no lift in the hotel and all rooms are upstairs, the car park is at the back of the hotel with steps up to the hotel that has a hand rail but the few steps into the hotel doesn’t. I was in room 6, 3 lots of stairs to negotiate but the view was spectacular."

"This is my second stay with Tracey and Michael at Bluebird Lodge. Set just out of the busy main village centre (but just a 10 minute walk) with car parking and next to a good bus connection for exploring the wider area this is a top place to stay in Coniston. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. Tracey and Michael are thoughtful and attentive hosts and overall Bluebird Lodge is excellent value for money. I'll be back (as they say)!"
