"It was a wonderful Victorian-style hotel. The hotel was remodeled from a former hospital building, and it has luxurious spaces. The rooms were clean and spacious, of course. The bathrooms were also of a high standard. It was impressive that they eliminated the bathtub to save water consumption in order to maintain the sustainability that the hotel aims for. I hope it will continue to develop as a good accommodation."

It has modern furnishings, but could not help feeling we were staying in a college dorm room. The place really tries hard to be hip, trendy and cool, which we could do without, but whatever. Catriona is a pleasure to deal with and she went above and beyond for us on our stay which we really did appreciate. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing was a problem. We dined in the bar food was fabulous and excellent service. We also got room service to enjoy on our balcony and it was very prompt service. We enjoyed our time relaxing in the pool and afterwards we stumbled across a hidden gem of the relaxation area where we chilled. We can't express how much we enjoyed our stay."

"As many reviews mentioned, the breakfast was absolutely wonderful! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good breakfast. We booked a double room for two, and it was toasty warm even in January (though we couldn't figure out how to turn off the heater!). The room was spacious, with a sofa and table, which was a nice bonus – it was great to have somewhere to sit and relax with a cup of tea besides the bed. The TV turned on, but no channels came through, so we gave up on that. There was no bathtub, just a shower, but the water pressure and temperature were excellent. The decor and building itself had a lovely vintage feel, like a charming old European apartment, but the shower was surprisingly modern."

All the usual breakfast food was there, cereal, toast, juice, fresh fruit and yogurt. Plus she had a full breakfast menu to choose from! All served efficiently and piping hot! I would totally recommend this place for exploring the south east of Ireland."
