"I stayed here in January, and this month I came back to Hokkaido for over ten days of skiing, so I stayed here again, since it's the largest open-air bath in Japan. I won't go into details, as I've mentioned them before, but the problems I encountered this time were the same as in January: privacy of the hot spring and room cleanliness! Hot spring privacy: Last time in January I soaked in the hot spring at night, but this time it was in the afternoon. Apparently, the open-air bath is completely visible from the buildings opposite. Is this a problem the hotel is unaware of, or is it simply being ignored? Room cleanliness: There were cobwebs in the corners, the window area was extremely filthy, and there was a used and dried contact lens on the bedside table…"

"I went there once a few years ago and the baths have been renovated since then, and there is now a rock bath which was nice and clean. The room was also cleaner than I expected. The food was also delicious, including whole grilled rock trout, mushroom tempura, and a New Year's vinegared dish. It's been a while since I've been able to enjoy Hokkaido's hot springs and fireworks in the snow."
