At first of all when we came to the hotel and on the reception they didn’t find our reservation. The check in is from 15:00 , we came at 16:30 and we must wait for our room without any apologize or compensation. Check in was terrible, I didn’t get any informations, I must to ask where and when is breakfast. I didn’t know nothing about dinner, spa about anything. The dinner and breakfast was really good and staff was very nice. But after our stay I wrote to hotel because I forgot my cosmetic bag in the room and I still didn’t have any answers!!!

Cet hôtel est à fuir . Ayant vu les notes sur trip advisor et les photos plutôt flatteuses, je me suis laissé avoir et reservé un week-end dans cet hôtel , étant amateur de ski. Première chose à remarquer à notre arrivée : accueil froid et peu aimable. Vieil hôtel à la déco très vieillotte et bizarre. Arrivé à la chambre, mon dieu quelle horreur. Des murs épais comme du carton, on entend absolument tout. Peintures écaillées et chambre et salle de bain crasseux. Visite du « spa »…une piscine d’eau froide et un sauna fermé ( un type très désagréable qui passait m’explique sur un ton ferme que je dois réserver mon entrée au sauna pour m’y rendre). Bref, encore déçu. Après une journée sur les pistes et ayant parcouru 300km en voiture, nous décidons de manger au restaurant de l’hôtel. Nous demandons aimablement à la réception une fondue au fromage, et on nous répond ( encore une froid de façon très désagréable) qu’ils ne font pas ça ici….décidément, ça continue… Nous sortons de cet hôtel minable pour trouver un bon restaurant où l’on est bien servi et accueillis. De retour à cet hôtel cauchemardesque, il est 23h, et une forte musique commence. Il est organisé une soirée avec un chanteur, sosie d Elton John… Les murs étants très fin, comme du papier, aucune isolation, impossible de se reposer. Je décide d’appeler la réception après avoir patienté 1h tout de même . Le réceptionniste me dit qu’ils vont faire du bruit toute la nuit et qu’il faut faire avec. Je suis à bout et je veux juste pouvoir dormir, impossible, mêle avec des bouchons d’oreille. Ce tapage nocturne va continuer jusqu’à 3h30 du matin!!!! Une honte!!! Au matin, après avoir dormi que quelques heures, exténués, ma famille et moi même prenons un petit déjeuner très médiocre dans cet hôtel. Puis ensuite je demande à parler au manager pour lui expliquer mon mécontentement au moment du check out. Sa réponse : «  ah ? On a fait du bruit? Vraiment ? » me demande t’il faisant l’étonné. Bref on se moque bien du monde, Aucune excuse, aucun geste commercial. Jamais été dans un hôtel aussi médiocre. À fuir à jamais. Les commentaires positifs de cet hôtel dont sûrement faux. Ne vous faites pas avoir.

The hotel is in a good location, the value for money may be good for Switzerland, but is below average in an international comparison. We were particularly annoyed that the otherwise usual very friendly and courteous welcome here failed. The lady at reception gave us our room cards, mentioned where the room was and that was it. No reference to the Hilton status, no question about arrival, parking, etc. In addition, the Garden Inn lacked the ”garden”. Located directly on the main road, there is a seating area next to the entrance on the asphalt, but no flowers or plants. The Kongresshotel across the street and pretty much every other house on the street can do that much better. The room itself wasn't particularly large for a triple room, but had a large bathroom and a balcony (which unfortunately was difficult to access as the bed was directly in front of the balcony door). Breakfast was very good, fresh omelettes made to order, waiters were attentive and helpful. The tourist tax in Davos is remarkable in two respects. On the one hand, the amount of CHF 5.90 per person is record-breaking, on the other hand, it is already for people from 12 !!! years raised. Where is something like that? Oh yes, in Switzerland.

The hotel is good located. Near by a bus station. Hotel is new and modern, however we have seen a lot of things which needs to be repaired. Parking is expensive with 24 euros per day. Smell in our room was terrible on arrival. Until I noticed that in the shower the cleaner removed the water outlet so that the bad smell could come in. Only one of the restaurants was open and not much of selection is possible. I would not recommend the restaurant. Waiter said to my daughter that the spaghetti from kids menu is too small and he will make it bigger, then charged 28 euros instead of 18. The Spaghetti was tooooo Al dente. Most of the waiters are unfriendly and let us not feel welcomed. Overall: we will not book this hotel again. My friend got a handicapped room even he booked the higher category. It seems they had no other room but they did not tell him during checkin. When he asked later they offered another room after 2 days. We complained that we don't like the room but they said many people like it.. Hey, hotel management, when somebody pays so much for a hotel who is not handicapped he don't like a shower curtain instead of nice glass walls, he don't need open space concept cabinets, he needs normal cabinets with doors, he may like to sit on the sofa.. But there was no sofa. Heating? Not on by purpose. Only when we complained they turned the heater on after 1 day. Instead they provided mobile heater . We talked to other guests who had the same issue. 5* hotel? The pool temperature was way too low. The noise there unacceptable due to the design which is simple painted concrete walls. Spa are is 3 star only. Nothing which let you stay there for long. Breakfast was quite good we enjoyed this the most. To leave the hotel everybody is using the way over the ski room...terrible layout. The layout is not well planned.

A fantastically spacious appartment, immaculately clean and very well equipped. All the staff in the main hotel were friendly and efficient, even though they were often in demand from the many groups staying there. The bar was really nice with a competetive price list (by Swiss standards) and served with lovely nibbles and a smile. There was a free concert every early evening on the road above the airport and it was lovely to see local families and visitors enjoying the music. The location was excellent with nearby shops, transport, the art gallery and lovely walks and climbs. There were some minor negatives: the English TV channels were not working but it was nice to have the chance for conversation and reading - my advice is to take an extra book! We should have reported it but didn't... Some cushions on the sofas would be nice too.

+ Zu unserer Freude bekamen wir ein Upgrade in eine Suite. Diese war sehr geräumig und schön im Alpen-Chic mit Holz eingerichtet. Grosse, schöne Sonnenterrasse mit Blick zum Jakobshorn. Bequeme Betten. Lage ist top, ca. 5 Minuten zum Bahnhof Davos Platz. Kostenloser Shuttle von/zum Bhf. - Zimmer etwas verstaubt, ansonsten aber sauber Minibar war leer? (ausser Wasser) Kaffee zwar vorhanden, aber kein Rahm Zimmerpersonal ist sehr ”schroff” und zweimal morgens um 9 Uhr bei uns laut schwatzend reingeplatzt (einmal sogar am Abreisetag?!), ohne Entschuldigung Frühstück für ein 4-Stern-Hotel sehr dürftig; lieblos, nicht anmächelig und kleine Auswahl Service mässig Unzureichende Infos am Anreisetag (Check-in Zeit?) Fazit: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis leider unbefriedigend, da zu teuer für den Standard.

Waren schon mehrmals auf dem Campingstellplatz des Hotels und nun das erste Mal im Hotelzimmer. Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Hotel mit toller Dampfsauna und freundlichem Personal. Getränke der Minibar sowie Tickets für die Ortsbusse waren inklusive. Es hatte alles, was wir brauchten, um uns vier Tage lang zu erholen und im Wellnessbereich zu sonnen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Situated less than a minute from Davos Dorf station means that getting to and from the hotel is very easy. Four of us stayed for a business trip and snowboarded every day. The P****nn station (and lift pass office) is a five minute walk away, and if you use to train to get to the friendly little resort of Rinerhorn then it couldn't be easier. The hotel is clean and the I rank this as one of the hotels with the friendliest staff encountered. They really couldn't do more for us and even provided a packed lunch for our journey home at the end of the trip. The breakfast buffet was fresh and healthy and the restaurant in the evening was first class. Highly recommeneded if you like a hotel that's has a family run feel, is slightly away from the hustle of the town centre and in easy reach of ski locations.
