"Arrival & Reception: Arriving at the hotel around 10pm, it was not obvious where the hostel entrance was from the high street. Luckily, a receptionist was outside and let me in, but unfortunately the staff were not friendly and did not offer help with my luggage. Room Experience: I stayed in room 14, which was an ensuite. The room size was very generous, with a desk provided, making it convenient to get some work done before check out. The keycard system for checking in and out was modern and worked well. Facilities & Comfort: While the room itself was spacious, I would have preferred larger towels and two towels instead of one, as the amenities in this area felt a bit basic. Location & Value: The hostel/hotel is located very close to the train station and the V&A Dundee, which is definitely a bonus for travelers wanting easy access to city sights. For a budget accommodation, it was alright—meeting essential needs but not exceeding them. Overall: If looking for proximity to key attractions and a large ensuite room for a night at a reasonable price, this hostel/hotel is a decent option. However, service and attention to guest comfort could be improved."

"Everything was lovely. It was my husband's birthday on 25th July and my own on the 26th.and it was our first birthdays as a married couple.the staff well trained and very polite. The food was very good. Thank you. Only 1 let down our last night. Very noisy neighbours. Think it was kids. Playing in the corridors. Thank you again for a near perfect stay. O and the pool was clean and enjoyed. Although did think that charging residents was wrong. But hay ho"

"Luxury Mini-Moon Stay! My husband and I arrived, wedding hair still in and car full of DIY decor straight after our wedding weekend, ready to relax and spend quality time in our new married bubble together. The honeymooners hideaway is the absolute perfect accommodation for this, the ‘lodge’ style home felt warm, comforting and properly luxurious. There wasn’t a small detail hadn’t been thought about by the team at the hide away, we were particularly greatful for the huge comfortable bed which helped us catch up on some well needed sleep and the sauna/hot tub were a real treat! We highly recommend opting for early check in to maximise the use of the brilliant facilities and relaxing vibe the hideaways have to offer- we stayed in the ‘Romantics’ cottage last year for a last minute get away and felt it wasn’t long enough! The kitchen facilities and BBQ were really well equipped, you can easily cook whichever meal you’d fancy. Or if like us you’re looking to really treat yourself you can order meat etc for the BBQ or the just eat app was very handy for take away deliveries. Dundee centre itself is less than 15 minutes in the car, but you really couldn’t feel further away surrounding by miles of fields and farmland, as well as being surprised by the most gorgeous sunrises and sets. All we can say is a huge thank you to the team at Hideaway for making our first week married so special, relaxing and enjoyable- we will 100% be back!!"
