"I had a Third floor room  Room 304 I’m 63 years old and had to take 2 Flights of stairs to get to my room Because the elevator was broken and didn’t work…. I was okay but it was tiring There wasnt any mention that I needed a 50 dollar deposit on a card required because they don’t except cash the nfront desk person insisted it be 50 dollars I had 48 in my card so I had to take an uber to make a deposit so i could get the room I was frustrated that she wasn’t more understanding I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone"

"Better good"

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elgin - Chicago Northwest by IHG ★★★

"When I booked this hotel and saw the word express on it, I assumed that it would be low budget. Upon arrival, the place was very clean, modern and very spacious. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. My wife and I loved the sliding doors on the shower. They were barn door style, I had never seen that. We had an awesome time and the breakfast was pretty good."

Super 8 by Wyndham Elgin ★★

"My family and I stayed here to break up a long leg of our road trip and were overall quite pleased with the accommodations. The price was good and the rooms we comfortable. For the price we paid, we weren't expecting anything more than a clean and comfortable place for us to lay our weary heads and rest, which is exactly what we got. The man who checked us in around 2 a.m. was professional and welcoming and he also was the man who checked us out when we left around 8 a.m."

Modern Suburban Oasis- 14 guest House. Family Friendly! ★★★

Lexington Inn & Suites NW Chicago Elgin ★★

"We opted to stay here due to a long drive and needing to sleep. We didn’t read ahead much but the reviews are accurate. The hotel smelled strongly and it was dirty and cold. The staff was friendly. The cash deposit was not something we knew when we booked but after reading the fine print, it does mention it. We did get the cash back after she inspected our room at check out. We literally brought nothing into hotel. I brushed my teeth at a gas station. The bed was fine and it gave us some sleep but let’s just say if my kids had been traveling with us, we would absolutely never have stayed. We got there at midnight and we left at 5:30am. If you are in a bind, it works for a place to crash but def do not recommend otherwise. So sorry to leave a review like this. I wish it wasn’t so smelly and cold. P.S. the room didn’t smell like the hallways. If it had, we would have had to leave."
