"To start with, an excellent location, within walking distance of the centre. The hotel has 2 parking spaces: 1 at the hotel and 1 across the street. These are free for overnight guests. The hotel does not have a restaurant (but it does have an excellent breakfast buffet at a very reasonable rate!). There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, but there are plenty of dining options within a fifteen-minute walk. I thought the room was excellent. Good mattress, safe, minibar (free soft drinks and beer). There was also little wrong with the bathroom. In fact: finally a hotel where the placement of the (very good) shaving mirror and the toilet roll holder has been carefully considered. Attention to detail!. The reception staff are helpful. Also pleasant was the option to check in or out early or late for a very reasonable fee. In short, an excellent stay!"

Quartier96 - Boardinghouse Emden

"Excellent and very high quality conversion of old army barracks into quirky apartment hotel. Would have been 5/5 but for a major glitch when checking in. This may have been due to us booking less than 2 hours before arrival. It is a self check in and it took an out of phone calls before we got access. However, room was very comfortable and well equipped. Small kitchenette was ideal for our needs. Secure basement storage for bicycles."

Upstalsboom Parkhotel

"We have booked a special offer by chance and were very positively made by this hotel. The location is pleasant and there are enough parking spaces. The staff is super friendly and sympathetic. Breakfast buffet does not open wishes, even dinner we prefer the restaurants in the city because there are very good regional fishing gerechts. Price performance top! We also attended the Candlelight dinner, that was OK, but when selecting on the dining card you don't need it. The sauna area has been very good for us and we have visited it daily. Emden and Greetiel have also raised us as a place, but overall we do not like the region so well. Because of the friendliness of dogs, we would also try a hotel in this chain elsewhere, because the concept has really convinced us."

"Excellent hotel with amazing friendly staff and great restaurant! We spent several days in this hotel with my colleagues and all were more than satisfied with the service and local cuisine! It's about 10 to 15 min walk to the city center. Definitely would return back!"

"We had a double room, which was very beautiful and bright. The rooms have very beautiful colours and are tastefully furnished. The bathrooms are very clean and breakfast was very delicious. The breakfast buffet had a very large selection of fruit to Müsli. It is a Greek restaurant right next to the hotel, allowing you to go through a door to the restaurant without having to leave the hotel. The hotel has a very central location, it is quite close to the city and it is very close to the wall that is super suited for beautiful walks. It really liked us and we'd like to come back."

"The hotel is OK. The hotel's check-in reception is located 2 houses further in the Hotel Upsatalsboom. There can also be the bikes placed in a garage. However, there is no charge possibility for ebikes. The bike bags can be carried from the garage to the hotel. They are just a few meters."
