"Great week at the WGM. Craig (the GM) couldn't do enough for us, the rooms were spotless, restaurant was excellent with a good menu and a healthy wine list. All the staff were super helpful and I'm delighted that I've found a regular spot for my frequent trips to the region. Highly recommend. Simon Lewis"

Emerald Central Palms Motel ★★★★
"After a very long 10 hour drive with 2 kids, I managed to book this great little Motel after a quick Google search by my son who liked the pics about 30min out. Hot tip, book online and don’t go through the booking bot. That was very frustrating. I seriously thought the bed I slept in was the most comfortable and have ever experienced-I highly recommend."

Motel 707 ★★★
"Room here is very, very basic, but the location is excellent, right in the centre of town, easy walk to multiple pubs, restaurants, shopping, cafes. Room and bathroom were clean. Fridge, microwave, tea and coffee with kettle. Off street parking in front of room. Shower had good hot water and pressure. Can't get water bottles under tap to refill, but cups available. Bed was comfortable, it's quiet and good sleep. Breakfast included and delivered to room, just the right size. Ok for one night when travelling. Would stay again. "

Emerald Maraboon Motor Inn ★★★★
"Mostly positive stay experience, but surprised to find they had disposable paper cups for tea and coffee instead of the usual china mugs or cups provided by other motels. The manager's response: "Yes, we do have disposable cups etc .but if you had of enquired, we could have supplied China from one of the 2 restaurants Partners attached The legislation clearly states the states the temperature that dishes are to be washed .we do not own a commercial dishwasher as we are a standalone. Motel without a commercial kitchen it. Hence, we supply disposable cups which then complies with the legislation." If this response is correct, a great many Queensland motels seem to be in breach of the legislation. "
