Hotel 1-Bintang di Geneva

For Switzerland, this is good value! We asked in advance about travelling from the airport to the hotel and received clear friendly advice by return. The shuttle goes ever 20 minutes to a meticulous timetable. Do not try to walk with luggage or at night - it is complicated and unpleasant! Asked to check in on line but this seemed to make no difference to the actual process as gave same information on arrival. Room was small but in view of the price it was fine for one night. Bathroom is a standard pod for one at a time but all works. Good WiFi. Our room overlooked the motorway so you either had to open the window and hope to sleep or put on the AC. Breakfast, included in special room rate, was really good. The layout was initially confusing but everything was there from fruit to cheese even pancakes.

Siendo un precio tan elevado y un hotel de 2 estrellas en Suiza, esperas algo más que aceptable. Hotel anticuado, la habitación es muy pequeña, aunque limpia. Se asemeja más al camarote de un barco que a la habitación de un hotel, ya que, además, todas las habitaciones tienen las ventanas bloqueadas, dejándolas sin ventilación. Personal no muy simpático, que no habla español. Parking de pago a un precio muy elevado (22 chf/ día; veníamos de un hotel nuevo en el centro de la ciudad de Berna donde pagábamos 15 chf al día por este servicio). No repetiríamos la experiencia.

I was told there would be no one working the front desk when I arrived, and that the the room would be ready and unlocked waiting for me. After getting into the hotel using their secure number pad, I discovered that the bedroom I had been assigned was locked. I tried opening the door several times, but could not get in. I tried contacting the hotel staff via phone and messaging app, with no response. Other things: - There were quite a few people hanging around the lobby even late at night. Literally any of them could have access to the room if it was unlocked. - I found another person in the lobby who was having the same problem I did. I ended up having to walk around in the middle of the night to find another hotel. When I contacted Hotel St. Gervais the next day, I was told that the whole thing was my fault for ”not following the instructions”. Hotel St. Gervais counted me as a no show and refused to refund me for the stay. Bottom Line: Terrible check-in process - totally unstaffed and unsecure. No accountability. Poor customer service.

Très bon accueil, Je suis restée 2 nuits avec une amie, nous avons eu une jolie chambre avec sanitaires très propres. Sur le pallier. Possibilité de préparer son repas dans la cuisine commune et de manger avec les autres voyageurs. Beau moment de partage.

This is really close to the airport and easy to get to on foot even with snowboard bags and suitcases! We used for an overnight stay before travelling onto final destination. It was exactly what we expected for the cost. The room was tiny, but clean and functional. We had a double bed with a single bunk over, clever use of the space. Our only complaint is that it was incredibly hot with no way of cooling other than opening the window, which slightly cooled, but you are right next to the airport so there are obviously numerous noises. There was air con gauge on the wall, but it didn’t work. It was unseasonably warm so maybe the heating for the building just hadn’t adjusted? The heater in the room was off, but the whole building appeared to be hot. Would recommend for short overnight stay if using airport.

Hôtel très bien situé près de la gare, service irréprochable avec un personnel bienveillant et très sympathique, des prix flexibles par rapport aux autres hôtels à Genève. On vous mets à disposition un pass pour circuler librement dans les transports de la ville ce qui est très pratique, les chambres spacieuses, propres et si vous choisissez de ranger votre chambre on vous offre des boissons gratuites. Je recommande vivement et je reviens au NH HÔTEL GENEVE à chaque fois que je viens à Genève.

I liked this hotel. Good location, 7 minutes or so from the central train station (which we walked to every day) and 2 blocks from Lake Geneva. It is is the ”new” part of town, not Old Town, but it was simple to get to the old part of town--we walked over there twice, including return in the evening after dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very modern feel, and the room was a good sized compared to what we’ve seen in other European cities (but it was also a bit more expensive). Breakfast was good. Three choices: Continental, Buffet without eggs and hot food, and Full Buffet. Not cheap but consistent with the prices we’ve seen in other hotels. No U.S. plugs; didn’t expect them. We didn’t have an ironing board in our room, but upon request, one was quickly brought to us, and we kept it throughout our stay. The bed was comfortable, 4 pillows, but as in many northern European hotels, only a comforter, no top sheet. It's possible we could have gotten one upon request--I didn't try. Our room did have a table and two chairs, as well as a nice TV, which we didn’t use, so can’t really report on that. We were on the 5th floor, room 58. The only issue with this room is that it is in kind of a dormer, I think; on my (6’3”) husband’s side of the bed, the ceiling sloped down low so that if he wasn’t paying attention, he would hit his head when he stood up. Also, as a dormer, the window is small, but that really didn’t matter to us. The A/C worked. The room had an interesting design. The toilet was in a separate room with a sink. The closet was in the entry, across from the bar; it was not large but did have several open shelves you could use. There was coffee, tea and water and a small number of snacks available. The bathroom (other than toilet), including the large shower, was open to the bedroom; however, there were “partition” type door/walls you could use when you were talking a shower for privacy and warmth. I hadn't seen anything like it. It’s a little hard to explain, but it made the room feel a little bigger, while allowing plenty of privacy while showering. I would definitely stay here again.

Small room, transportation not so convenient, bathroom amenities too old, bath tub too small. Food not bad, customer service not bad. Overall not bad

Conveniently located near the train station (4 mins walk) and in the heart of the city centre. Booked the studio with balcony because it looked good on the website but the stairs took me by surprise… The hotel should have made it more apparently as I was carrying 2 big 23 kg luggage and other hand luggage

Excellent location once you have learned the tram situation. Clean rooms, good food. 20 minutes walk into the centre but loads of restaurants and bars nearby to this hotel. Will be back.
