Hotel berhampiran The Mansion, Ho Chi Minh City

If you are considering to rent an apartment from Glenwood or use their Resort, stop here unless you want to pay $300 USD a month in electricity. I am an American living in Ho Chi Minh for 2 years. This place took total advantage of me and my fiance during the hardcore lockdown in Ho Chi Minh in Septmber of 2021. During the no go outside order by the Vietnamese government this place forcrmed us to come outside (by turning off our electricity and water) they forced us to cross the street to pay our rent and our Electric bill which was a 7 million electric ($309 USD) bill which is 5 times higher than the average electric bill. When we came across the street to pay the bill we were also filming and they told us to turn off our cameras. We refused, in my experience the only people who don't want to be caught on film are those who are doing something wrong. The YouTube video will also show our electric meter spinning like crazy, so fast you cannot even see the black marker on the turning wheel. They installed a new electric meter in our unit and you can hear it grinding the gears at times because it can't even go that fast. They forced us to pay a six million electric bill the next month because we could not leave due to the hardcore lockdown and Ho Chi Minh. Avoid Glenwood Residence and Apartments in Glenwood Resort at all cost. Greenwood was given the opportunity to refund all of our electricity except for an average bill to avoid a one-star review. They failed to heed the warning. I am also doing negative reviews on all Resort sites next. The had the chance to do the right thing, return my full deposit and all my electric charges except a fair amount, they declined. This review will their Karma.

Very accommodating, unobtrusive and helpful staff. Everything in District 2 is walkable from the Common Inn. Plenty and great variety of local retail outlets. Fabulous massage facility under ten minutes walk away. In summary, an ideal and inexpensive base for District 2.

The overall was good. Value: Personality wise, the hotel was polite and kind, lending us the money to pay a taxi as we only had the highest banknotes. Improvement: We wish that our room was ready in advance as we fully paid it. We were tired from a long journey, but we had to wait for 45 minutes before checking in.

Excellent location and .Good breakfast selection and great staff support considering the low price.Only drawback is hotel room sound proofing not blocking the sound from other room .

I travelled the world on budget, 3 stars hotels..this hotel is the only one who has a porter help me carry my stuff upstairs. When my tour guide failed to pick me up, this hotel staffs whose been waiting with me outside for 15 mins or so, knowing that I'm panic, ordered a taxi..taxi arrived in no time and saving me from missing my flight. Quick thinking, practical, willing to help.

The hotel is very basic. However rooms are very nice, clean with a safe. At $40 a night you can’t ask for anymore. I was told some hotels in the area offer breakfast at same price. Staff good and friendly but lacking in English ( I am in Vietnam!!). So really a very good room only place with nice bathroom. Note: you have to negotiate about 12 steps to get into and out of hotel. If that’s a concern don’t stay here

For the price, you can’t beat it. This hotel is a distance away from district 1 but that’s exactly why I wanted to stay here. It’s nowhere near as busy and it has all the amenities you’d expect from a nice hotel. It has an awesome gym with decent equipment, a great view of the city with a rooftop pool, and best of all it’s very affordable. I recommend to anyone who is staying in Ho Chi Minh City.
