"The location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Carrefour Express is about a 7-minute walk away. The rooms and apartments are very clean and perfect for traveling with children. Cooking is possible, and the dishes are all provided. The beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly, polite, and helpful. The only downside is that the paid street parking downstairs is often full. If you don't mind, you can leave your luggage at the hotel and then drive on. There are many paid parking spaces nearby, near the pier, for about €12 for 12 hours."

"A wonderful location. Two couples, our rooms were on the second floor. Beautiful rooms with excellent service. Our host Valerie was wonderful. Free parking is plentiful only 200metres away. One morning we decided to have breakfast in the summer house, which was excellent. If visiting Honfleur again I would definitely stay here again."

"We spend 1 night in this outstanding and extraordinary place! It is lovely and quiet and just a short 1 minute drive to Honfleur. The property is huge and exceptionally beautiful. Grounds are beautiful and the pool is heated. Rooms are also excellent. Bathroom was huge and also excellent. Breakfast was excellent as well with lots of delicious pastries. Staff was very friendly and berry caring. It is a small property with something like 8 rooms. Parking is on site (free and very convenient). Overall excel and outstanding place. Very very high scale!"

"Pleasant hotel but very overpriced for what is on offer. Rooms comfortable but no better than a good version of Premier Inn. For £330 for 2 nights I expect than just a shower in the bathroom. Some of our party had a "deluxe room" with double bed and room for a third person and a snazzier bathroon with a bath (£430 for 2 nights) - the 3rd bed being a fold out/flip out foam rubber affair with no bedding provided even though the hotel knew the bed would be used, Our reason for choosing the hotel in the first place was because it offered an indoor pool with the equipment to offer a strong current to swim against. Also a sauna. Neither of these were operational during our 2 day visit. For those kind of prices one could also reasonably expect a comfortable sitting area/lounge for when the weather was not suitable for the terrace. All that was on offer was a few hard chairs in the breakfast area. There was an additional area (not much more comfortable from the look of it) which was blocked off with a notice that it was not allowed to be used. Pleasant enough, but not up to those prices or value for money. When we mentioned the lack of pool current machine & sauna we were given a 20 euros reduction on a 1,600 euro bill. "St Simeon is a lovely property. We had a nice ground floor room , suitable for our dog with outdoor access. Very dog friendly! Very clean and well looked after by the housekeeping team. Good bathroom with proper tub. Service was polite, although some of the staff needed a bit more training. The bar in particular was a bit amateur. The restaurant (Boucane) was excellent, tip top. Well done to the entire team at Boucane! Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Good to see proper cornflakes included as a cereal option. Our main criticism was lack of storage space in the room. One drawer to share bordered on the absurd. The shower was too big, a sort of hammam affair. When they built the bathroom, they probably took out cupboard space to make room for the vast shower area which was a shame. Good traditional bath tub - with lots of hot water -was splendid. The lighting system was over-complicated, a common complaint these days. What happened to the simple "on and off” switch? It was rather dark too, especially for reading in the room. There seems to be a generation of hotel architects who believe lighting should be subdued, who clearly do not read books in hotel rooms and who have no clothes to store when they travel. We are seeing this more and more even in there most expensive five star hotels. The parking charge (30 euros a night) was cheeky. I don’t recall having been warned about that in advance. I imagine that most guests arrive by car - so why don't they just add this to the room rate rather than spring an unpleasant extra?"

"The old house has a long history, and it was a good experience to stay there. If I have to make a comment, it would be that the indoor lighting is relatively dark and the price is a bit expensive. Kitchen included (where you can really cook), spacious living room and spacious bedroom. Facing the garden and totally quiet. Only curtains, so there is a bit of light in the morning.
