"I originally booked for two nights, but unexpectedly, there was a power outage, and the air conditioning was off all day. They gave us a few glow sticks, but that didn't help at all. And why is the elevator so loud?! My room was directly facing the elevator, and I kept hearing its constant humming. The hotel didn't provide slippers, and if you needed water, you had to go to the first floor to exchange a water card for it."

"For our last two nights in Honolulu, we switched to Prince Waikiki because my daughter was scared of the pigeons constantly visiting our Hilton balcony. While this Japanese-style hotel doesn't have a resort vibe, it's quite comfortable, and the yacht club view from the window offers a different kind of scenery. On the first night, we found the hairdryer was broken, but thankfully, they were quick to respond. The hotel elevators are a bit slow, but parking is convenient at $1/hour on the street outside, which is much cheaper than the hotel's parking."

"I booked a city view room, but it was on the side of the beach, so I could still see the ocean from the balcony. You could say it was a partial sea view. The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area which was convenient. However, the shower and bathtub were combined and felt a bit cramped and inconvenient, but it was manageable. The soundproofing was quite poor; even though we weren't near the elevator, I could clearly hear people coming and going next door. The service was neither particularly good nor bad. The hotel's location is excellent, with shopping and dining options just a short walk away."

"Absolutely terrible!! Will never stay here again!! We specifically booked the newly renovated Rainbow Tower, and it was truly awful!! Check-in: The wait time was about two hours, minimum. Long queues, and the staff were incredibly inefficient, using antiquated computers that constantly crashed to process check-ins. However, the front desk staff themselves were super friendly and enthusiastic, which deserves a commendation. Room check-in: Check-in time was 4 PM, so we had to sit and wait endlessly for our room. Once we finally got it, the cleanliness was appalling!! There were hairs all over the bathroom floor, hair in the sink, and hair on the shower walls. This level of hygiene is absolutely unacceptable for a room that supposedly needed until 4 PM to be cleaned. It was disgusting! From the bedding to the towels, the hairdryer, hangers, and coffee machine, everything looked like relics from the last century. Isn't this supposed to be the newly renovated Rainbow Tower?! Do they only renovate the hard fixtures and not care about the soft furnishings?! We stayed for 7 nights, and throughout our entire stay, we were only given one small bar of soap. Even when it was almost used up, they didn't proactively refill it; we had to call and request it ourselves! There were no slippers either!! On the second day of our stay, a typhoon caused a full-day power outage throughout the entire hotel. All facilities were shut down, and the elevators stopped working, leaving us trapped in our room. Yet, the $65 daily resort fee was not refunded!! I want to commend Ctrip customer service here; after I complained, Ctrip refunded one day's resort fee, which is commendable! Last time I visited Hawaii, I stayed at the Ramada across the street and thought this Hilton was amazing. This time, I didn't even think twice and booked the newly renovated Rainbow Tower directly. What a huge disappointment!!!"

"Let's start with the positives: The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning ocean view, and I woke up to the beautiful beach every morning 🥰. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful 🫶. The room was also very spacious; coming from Tokyo to Hawaii, I really appreciated the upgrade in space 😍. There are many bus routes right outside the hotel, making it easy to get to Pearl Harbor. The Pink Line of the 'Waikiki Trolley' also stops directly at the hotel entrance, which is great for going shopping at Ala Moana. Now for some areas for improvement: The room didn't have many amenities, and there was no free bottled water. It's a bit far from shopping and dining areas; getting to lively spots usually takes more than a 10-minute walk. However, if you love surfing 🏄‍♂️, this is a great choice as the beach is just a short walk away."

"Fantastic hotel! The rooms are clean and the facilities are excellent. We stayed in a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The room had a kettle and also a convenient cold water pitcher that you could take out to refill. The infinity pool offers beautiful sea views. The location is also superb; you can reach the beach by walking through a small alley, and it's only a 5-minute walk to various tour pickup points. There are many restaurants and ABC Stores nearby. The hotel also has its own bakery next door, which is very popular and delicious. Breakfast is served as a set menu and tastes great, though the waiting time can be a bit long."
