"This pod place was perfect for me. olde person, long layover, budget friendly ... close to the high prices, close to the low prices, centrally located in Waikiki. what's not to like.? my end-of-row lower pod was quiet and very clean. the mattress was very comfy, and i could charge my phone and pad. (First Cabin looses one smile because the shower curtains were a bit mouldy and thus a little whiffy. something a fortnightly bleach bath would easily cure.) same time, same place next year for me."

"This stay was in the Rainbow Tower, and the ocean view was absolutely fantastic. The room was spacious and newly renovated, which was great. From the room, it was a short walk downstairs to the beach, pool, and the man-made lagoon. There are also restaurants right below the hotel, making breakfast very convenient. The Hilton Village is huge, with supermarkets, restaurants, and plenty of entertainment facilities, giving it a complete resort feel. However, there were a few downsides: 1. The hotel was extremely crowded. Check-in took an incredibly long time; we waited almost an hour to check in at 5 PM. 2. Since the Rainbow Tower is right by the beach, cars can't pull up directly for pick-up/drop-off. The closest drop-off point is the main reception. 3. There's a fireworks show on Fridays, but our room was on the back side (facing the parking lot, while the Waikiki Beach side was the front), so we couldn't see anything. However, for the full fireworks experience, I'd still recommend going downstairs to watch them. 4. The hotel's location is at the far end of Waikiki Beach, making it a bit of a distance for getting around. But if you're planning to just relax and enjoy the resort, it's perfect; otherwise, getting out and about can be a hassle."

"I booked an Oceanfront view room on a high floor. We arrived at the hotel around noon, and an Asian gentleman at the front desk assigned us room 59 on the 30th floor+ right away, without making us wait until 3 PM. He gave us the key cards directly so we could go upstairs. The location is truly impeccable, with an unbeatable ocean view overlooking the entire Waikiki Beach. The room itself is very spacious, with two queen-sized beds. Feeling a bit tired after the flight, I lay down and slept for a while. The mattress was very comfortable, just the right firmness for me. The soundproofing in the hotel is also excellent; there was no noise at night, only the sound of the ocean waves. The ground floor of the hotel is a commercial complex with an ABC store, restaurants, and cafes. Waikiki Beach is just across the street, and it's also within walking distance to the Royal Hawaiian Center shopping area and bus stops. If you don't mind slightly older facilities and a mediocre breakfast, you should definitely consider this hotel."

"The location was fantastic, only about a 7-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The hotel staff were also very kind. Housekeeping comes every three days. I really appreciated that they lend out towels for the beach; it was great! After using them, you return the towels in the lobby, which kept our room from getting messy. Once we returned a towel, we got our lending card back, so we could borrow another one the next day when visiting different beaches. We rented a car and paid for parking. We were told we could park anywhere, but when we found it full and mentioned it, they moved one of the hotel's cars for us. For this price and location, I'm absolutely delighted! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to save money but doesn't want to stay in a hostel, and prefers a clean place at the very least. Also, there's a poke place nearby called ''Maguro Spot'' that always had a long line. I was curious, tried it, and it was absolutely delicious – highly recommend!"

Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach
"Let me tell you, I stayed for 5 consecutive nights at a Hyatt property, which was more like a serviced apartment. I booked a high-floor ocean view room for all 5 nights, at about 2500 RMB per night. The room was reasonably clean, and it was quite convenient, only a 300-meter walk to Waikiki Beach. There are convenience stores nearby, and about a kilometer away, there's a shopping area with plenty of food options, malls, and luxury brands. Overall, it was decent. However, the breakfast was absolutely horrendous, to the point of being speechless. For five straight mornings, it was the same stuff you see in the pictures. Although they mentioned it was American breakfast when I checked in, the variety was pitifully small. For Asian options, there was kimchi, rice, and miso soup. For Western guests, it was just bread and frozen, terrible-tasting burgers. The fruit was always pineapple, and it often had a rotten, un-fresh smell. Seriously, there was nothing else, and I'm not exaggerating – it was infuriating. Also, perhaps because it's an older hotel, there are only two elevators. With so many rooms occupied, waiting for the elevator, especially during breakfast time, was incredibly long and annoying. I will definitely not be staying at this hotel again if I return, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's just terrible."

People in next door kept us awake with loud voices all night. Would not stay here again."

"This accommodation was a truly delightful surprise! The entire space has just been renovated, so the interior decor and facilities are very new and modern. Even better is its location; it's quite close to the beach, so you can easily walk a short distance to stroll along the shore and enjoy the sea breeze. The overall stay far exceeded my expectations. I genuinely recommend adding it to your list if you're in the area; it's definitely a place I'd love to visit again!"

"Great location just a couple minutes walk to the beach. Generally good experience although the property is slightly worn and food options, while okay, were limited. Biggest problem was the WiFi. It was very erratic, dropping out repeatedly which was frustrating and annoying. I was told they had just upgraded the Wi-Fi but it was one of the poorer major hotel chain Wi-Fi connections I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. It was also slightly irritating that they couldn’t extend my checkout, even for 1/2 hour without charging me a half day room rate."

On the first morning, it lasted for about 5 hours. We smartly left early on the second day to avoid it, as it would have been unbearable. However, the hotel did offer some compensation."
