"The room a deluxe room, was just lovely with nice views . There were also nice gardens which we did not have much time to investigate. We are going again this year to put that right! We enjoyed a good evening meal and breakfast the next day. There were several cosy looking rooms which we did not have time to enjoy. "

"My husband and I were joined by our adult kids for a fabulous stay at The Hilton Bush Lodge. What a spectacular place! We stayed in the Aloes cottage. Wow! The view of the gorge was stunning (especially at sunset). The staff are all amazing and we were spoilt with delicious cooked breakfasts each morning at the main lodge. Thank you Hilton Bush Lodge. I’m so glad we found this gem and can’t wait to go back and stay again."

"Luvit. On my favourite list of places to stay. Wonderful revamp plan created good vibe while maintaining excellent functionality. Central to all the fun bits around Karkloof. Their breakfast cook makes the best poached eggs, exactly as you order! I like cooking for myself, so the well-appointed kitchen designed around a mighty gas stove went a long way to please. It was rather warm during my stay, so I didn’t get to start up the wood furnace. I can only imagine how cozy that could make the apartment on a chilly evening… Staff: always helpful and friendly. Shops are full of homemade treasures."

"last‑minute overnight stay at St Ives Lodge turned out to be perfect. The estate is peaceful, beautifully kept, and full of wildlife zebra, wilder beast, antelope wandering freely across the grounds, which made the whole experience feel like a mini‑safari without any effort. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable even though a bit dated. Staff were friendly and welcoming breakfast in the main lodge was perfect with the atmosphere overall was calm and relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you instantly unwind the moment you arrive."

"What a fantastic manor house. The lodge was beautifully decorated in colonial style to match the old building. The cosy furnishings made for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The resident cats were welcoming and added to the homely feel. The rugs, books, chess and pool table, made us wish our stay was for longer. The breakfast was scrumptious. What a treat it was to stay there"
