"Excellent room views, very friendly staff (thanks Eleonora :)), good air conditioner and WiFi. However, it’s 20-min walk to most of attractions, given that the uber is quite expensive, the bus is not always punctual and the hot temperature outside, it makes the location of the hotel sth to be considered."

"I traveled as a solo female traveler, and unfortunately, only one out of three nights was peaceful. I want to warn others about several management and safety issues I encountered here. On Trip.com, only mixed dorms were available.The platform lists two types of 6-bed dorms: one explicitly labeled 'Mixed Gender' (which I booked) and another generic '6-Bed Dormitory Room' without any gender indication. Since there was no 'Female-only' option, I assumed these were essentially the same thing. I ended up alone in a room with three men, which felt quite unsafe and intimidating. My sleep was constantly interrupted by loud neighbors and the person in the bunk below me shaking the bed all night When I requested a move to a female dorm or a more balanced mixed room the next morning, the staff was unhelpful. They claimed they couldn't move me because I hadn't booked through their website, even though female beds were available!! They initially demanded I pay the full price again for the next two nights. After contacting Trip.com support, the hostel still refused to cooperate. Eventually, a more reasonable receptionist helped resolve the issue peacefully. On my last night, a large group of school students arrived. They were incredibly loud, and it took over an hour after ”quiet hours” began for teachers and staff to finally calm them down. Be aware of this. Cleanliness: Rooms are relatively clean. Self-Service: You must make your own bed, which is very difficult if you are assigned a top bunk. Extra Costs: Towels are not included and cost 1.9€. Payment: They are strictly card-only. Pros: There is free hot water at reception, a luggage room, and the location is conveniently close to the Campo di Marte station. If you are a solo female traveler, be aware that management might prioritize profit over your safety and comfort :)"

"We had a very solid stay at Hotel Grifone. A pretty large, comfortable, and clean room, with a balcony even. It was a bit of a hassle to get to our room (2 different elevators/staircases separated by a hallway), but on our first trip to the room, a staff member showed us the way, which was a nice touch. We also really appreciated the free flavored waters and teas/snacks/mimosas provided in the lobby - was a lovely surprise. The hotel is in a very residential area, so it's pretty quiet at night. Does take around 25 minutes by bus to get there from the old town area, but they came relatively regularly (the signs posted on the stops were hit-or-miss on accuracy - the buses usually ran late). Signora Helena on the breakfast team was truly the sweetest person we met during our entire 2 week trip around the country of Italy. She always greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service (remembering that we have yogurt every morning and bringing it to us without us asking by the third day of our stay, checked in about what coffee we wanted, and more!). We really loved her, and it made our mornings brighter to see her! The front desk staff were all excellent as well! Super professional and answered questions about Florence and the hotel with ease."

"Place is a 10 minute walk from the train station. The main door is just difficult to open, but everything else is good. The bathroom is clean even if its a shared bathroom, and there are only few people using it. There is a lift, and an electric fan in the room since there is no airconditioning. For the price of the room, you get your money's worth."

"Suitable for short stay. Walking distance from metro. Provide breakfast is a plus. The room is clean enough. We enjoyed our stay and 100% recommended! Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. Most of the hotels in Europe don’t provide those."

"The hostel itself was clean and well located, no complaints about that. But the girl at the reception was extremely rude. On the day of check-in, she was standing with another girl at the counter — when I asked if I could check in, she just said “no,” and they both laughed. When I asked what was wrong, they rolled their eyes and said it was “just a joke.” On the day of check-out, I wanted to leave my luggage until the evening to explore the city. For the first time in 15 years of traveling, I’ve encountered a place where you can’t store your bags for free — you have to book paid luggage storage online. My card was declined by their website, so I politely asked if I could pay in cash or what I should do instead. She simply said “no,” turned away, and started helping other guests. Usually, hotel staff try to assist travelers and offer some kind of solution, but this kind of attitude was truly disappointing."

"Simple check-in and public facilitiesㅡ Kitchen. Laundry. Swimming pool and sauna was excellent for cost-effectiveness, and everything was fun and good. The location was great too~^^ But one Chinese roommate coughed all night, possibly due to a cold, so the rest of my roommates barely got any sleep. 😪"

"Place is beyond.. beautiful old convent. Room is large, confy bed, powerful hot shower. Kitchen and common area is huge and beyond just functional. Loved it. PS I am not selfie, photo ******. Regretted not taking pictures as it is really beautiful."

"Я останавливалась на три ночи .Пешком до Санта Мария Новелла минут 20.Хозяева приятные люди ,встретили ,все рассказали .Завтрак был включен в стоимость ,вкусно .Кофе 👌Но общий душ и санузел ,имейте в виду.Я вставала рано утром ,в 7.00 примерно ,проблем не заметила.Wi-Fi тоже порадовал и большой новый телевизор (поддерживает видео с телефона).Выдали тапочки ,халат и полотенца .Под фен розетки подошли .Благодарю за гостеприимство."

"We had a great stay at this hotel in Florence. The family suite was spacious with a smart layout that offered privacy and comfort, which made it perfect for our friends’ group. Breakfast was included and had a good variety of options each morning. The location is also excellent — close to the train station and just a short walk from Florence city center. There are plenty of mini markets nearby where we could easily grab snacks and water. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel."
