This was my first ever trip to Istanbul. I work in the field of exhibitions and my visit was specifically to attend a trade exhibition at Tuyup (the expo convention center). Istanbul is huuuggggeee like any other country and since I had zero knowledge of the geographies, I took suggestions from fellow travelers on TripAdvisor and my local partner in Istanbul. I had a choice between Expoist and another property close to the expo center. The reviews of both the hotels were almost similar however, The Expoist was offering a better deal. The hotel is about 45 minutes to an hour from the new Istanbul airport and that would cost you around 30 Euros. At check-in, I was offered a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room. I was offered the room on the top floor with the view of the city side. Although the location is really far from the main city/tourist attractions, its located in a good location if you are traveling for business. The hotel is close to a metro station if you would like to see local transport. There are two malls, a gas station, furniture stores, cafes, restaurants, apparel stores, etc in the vicinity. The room was absolutely neat, clean and pretty spacious, I won't rate it as large but accommodative and comfortable for a solo traveler or a couple. The bathroom is decent but the bath area is really small like a pod. So kind of gets congested if you are large and tall. The room comes with all basic amenities, a mini kitchen with a microwave and basic kitchen wear, a wardrobe, instant coffee, and tea, bottled water etc. TV would play only one English music channel rest nothing in a language I could understand. Not all staff members speak English, but the staff is friendly, accommodating and cooperative. Wifi is really good across the hotel. The language was a major problem in this side of the town, there was barely anyone who could communicate in English. At the metro station, all instructions are in Turkish so one can barely understand or figure out a way to go about using the local means of transport that was really cheaper compared to the taxi. The terrace on the 8th floor offers a fantastic view of the cityscape. Breakfast offered at the restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel was really decent and amazingly delicious. Not an elaborate spread but was sufficient and delicious. If you are a vegetarian, I am sorry u have very limited choice. Cereals, bread varieties of accompaniment and french fries, fruits, tea & juices.. which by the way is pretty sufficient for a small eater. Overall it was a comfortable stay. As mentioned tourist attractions are all really far but there are two really good Malls in a 5-7 minute distance from the hotel. PS: Make sure you carry an international adapter, Turkey / Istanbul have very different sockets. The hotel does not provide any adapters.

I usually write higher score than the hotels deserve. We came here because of Turkish Airlines fault of not being able to board us, due to overbooking. We were given the rooms which were clean and adequate. Normal with everything. Additionally restaurant service team was nice. What I did not like is the location - in the middle of nowhere or far away from the center. Reception team was not friendly. The worst thing was that we had lunch and dinner and I can say that there was almost nothing to eat. Some vegetables left from breakfast and a bread. Dinner even worse. That is all. Bread, butter, one strange hot thing? 2 vegetable plates and water in plastic. I asked for cheese and they refused. Dining was 1 star EU.

Es ist fast nah zu allem . Zimmer sieht genau so aus wie auf dem Bilder . Service sehr nett . Alles eigentlich super , außer dass es das Zimmer auf der Straßenseite lag und man morgens etwas den Lärm von Verkehr mıtbekommt aber es hat nicht gestört . Alles war gut .. Es ist reichlich für die Leute die sich nicht die ganze Zeit im Zimmer aufhalten ..

These guys are a scam operation. They’ll offer you airport transfer at inflated prices, there driver won’t show up, so you’ll take a different cab/taxi, then when you end up at the hotel they will make paying for the their shuttle (which was never there) a precondition for handing you the room keys (which was already paid for in my case). Total scam operation, rude front desk staff and general manager. I chose to leave that hotel there and then which my four suitcases and family of four, took a cab, found a hotel while in cab over phone, paid double obviously at the last minute, at another hotel, was greeted there again with the familiar Turkish hospitality and the worst travel nightmare came to an end. Plus the location is horrible, deep, narrow, steep alleyways, most larger van/shuttle type vehicles can’t make it without scraping their bottoms and getting damaged in the process, which if you don’t have a nice driver you may end up having to pay for. Consider your self forewarned, Don’t stay there. And like a typical scam operation they change their name frequently. Sometimes add Taksim to their name, sometime not. Mungkin kerana masa di luar musim di hotel, tidak ramai orang di sana. Terdapat pemanasan pusat untuk memastikan ia hangat. Saya menjangkakan sarapan pagi adalah seperti yang saya lihat dalam gambar, tetapi ia hanya makanan ringkas. Lobi dihiasi dengan kecubung, yang saya fikir secara peribadi cantik, dan sudut senaman di tingkat bawah tanah pertama adalah baik untuk latihan fizikal dengan dumbbells ringkas. Lokasi ini mempunyai lebih banyak pasaran berbanding tarikan pelancong. Ia adalah lapangan terbang lama, jadi nampaknya tidak ramai orang sejak lapangan terbang baru dibina. Apabila coronavirus berakhir, terdapat tempat untuk kanak-kanak berehat, jadi ia akan menjadi tempat yang baik untuk membawa kanak-kanak. Anda boleh mencuci pakaian anda secara peribadi, tetapi oleh kerana anda tidak mahu melakukannya di tempat yang anda boleh berehat untuk masa yang lama, terdapat banyak ruang yang tidak dijangka. Jika pintu terbuka, bilik seminar akan sesuai untuk mesyuarat keluarga, dan saya terkejut kerana ia sangat sunyi, mungkin kerana ia tidak diketahui.

Secara kebetulan, apabila saya datang ke hotel itu kebetulan adalah operasi percubaan, dan hampir tiada tetamu semasa wabak itu. Apabila saya mula-mula mendaftar masuk, saya hampir seorang sahaja yang bersarapan setiap hari. Makan: Dalam tempoh masa ini, saya telah memesan semua dalam menu untuk rujukan anda. Jika tidak ada gambar, anda boleh mendaftar masuk. Saya terutama mengesyorkan salad daging lembu dan sayur-sayuran (dengan kacang hijau dan taugeh) dan MANTI Turki, ”NIHAO” juga bagus. Menginap: Hotel ini mempunyai pengalaman yang sangat baik dalam semua aspek. Bilik ini mempunyai ketuhar, mesin basuh, mesin basuh pinggan mangkuk, dsb., dan semua kemudahan adalah hampir serba baharu. Terdapat bilik aktiviti kanak-kanak khas; kawasan kecergasan adalah sangat besar, dan terdapat bilik berputar dan Pilates khas; kolam renang dalaman sangat indah, dan terdapat wap kering dan wap basah di bilik persalinan. Ia mungkin kerana operasi percubaan. Dari semasa ke semasa, kakitangan meminta saya memberi pendapat, terutamanya yang ingin mendapatkan maklum balas daripada pelanggan, tetapi saya benar-benar minta maaf, saya benar-benar tidak dapat memberi sebarang pendapat. Jika markah penuh ialah 100, saya akan berikan 200 mata. Perjalanan: Ia mengambil masa setengah jam untuk memandu dari lapangan terbang ke hotel. Ia sangat mudah untuk mengambil teksi, 150 lire. Jarak ke Blue Mosque dan Maiden Tower tidaklah jauh, tetapi ia mengambil masa lebih kurang 45-60 minit dengan menaiki kereta. Trafik di Turki benar-benar tidak dapat mengeluh. Membeli-belah: Terdapat bangunan pejabat dalam masa 3 minit berjalan kaki. Terdapat makanan dan pasar raya kecil di tingkat bawah. Anda juga boleh membeli Starbucks untuk memperbaharui hidup anda. Jika anda berjalan selama 3 minit, anda boleh melihat 212outlet, yang boleh memenuhi semua keperluan membeli-belah. Jangan terlalu khusus tentang makan di Turki. Keseluruhan lantai adalah restoran di mana anda boleh makan, dan tidak banyak pilihan untuk perut Cina. Ia mengambil masa 10 minit untuk menaiki teksi dari hotel ke pusat membeli-belah Istanbul. Rasanya seperti pusat membeli-belah terbesar di kawasan ini. Rancangan asal tinggal di Turki selama 14 hari ditukar kepada 21 hari kerana tiada sesiapa dan penginapan terlalu selesa. Hari daftar keluar kebetulan adalah pembukaan rasmi hotel, dan rasanya saya tidak tahu. Untuk meminjam perkataan daripada pengurus besar: ”Restoran Cina sepatutnya dibuka apabila anda datang nanti.” Selepas terbang selama 13 jam, sudah pukul 5 petang ke San Francisco, dan akhirnya saya melampirkan matahari terbenam di negara bebas itu.

My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.
