Hotel berhampiran Picnic Ground, Istanbul

This hotel is obnoxious! Main problem is they do NOT respect your room as your*private space while you are here. I did not feel secure at this hotel at all. I booked Sarrssa hotel following eye surgery at Birinci Goz (an eye hospital right next to the hotel). I thought it would be a good idea to stay right next door to the eye hospital for a week while I recover. The hotel is overpriced, is dirty, everything is in poor condition, the staff spoke no English, and they were were obnoxious . I had problems from the instant I got there to the moment I left. I am writing this review from the hotel lobby with hastily packed bags, waiting for my taxi to airport, because I was just thrown out of the room I had just stayed at for 8 nights while packing to check out at 11 (which I had assumed was checkout time since that is a normal checkout time at US hotels.). Apparently checkout here is 10:30, not 11. I didn't know that (remember I speak no Turkish and they speak no English). So they sent, not 1, not 2, but 3 (!) goons up to my room at 10:30 to demand I either get out or pay another night. I had stepped out while packing to get a cup of coffee, came back at 10:30 to finish packing, and found 3 guys in my room looking at my half-packed stuff. I didn't know who they were., but it turned out they were hotel staff there to throw me out at checkout time. ***? A phone call wouldn't do? Or a polite visit from 1 person at reception? No American hotel would treat a guest this way. But let's back up. On arrival I had to demand 3 different rooms until I got one that wasn't drastically overheated by broken radiators that would NOT turn off. I finally got one that was a comfortable temperature. I unpacked and made myself at home. The next day I went out for lunch with my stuff spread out like I'm at home, e.g. medications needed for my eyes post-surgery sitting on the bathroom counter alongside the soap, shampoo, etc. Well, the maid had come through while I was out and tossed my medications along with the part-used soap and shampoo etc. I assume she just swept everything off the counter. into the trash without looking Also everything else in the room had been re-arranged including important documents I had spread out on desk next to my computer and a couple documents on the bed. I didn't know what else had been accidentally tossed out. I ran down to the lobby (”don't clean my room any more! please nobody come in to my room!” typed into Google Translate). They just smiled and said I need to take it up with the housekeepers. Not their problem. OK, great way to treat a guest. Then I went back to Birinci Goz and got replacement meds. OK, so next day: before going out I went to the housekeeper and typed into Google Translate ”Do NOT clean my room!” and showed her the translation. She appeared to understand. Then I went to lunch. I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.

I made a reservation for Stay Inn Taksim Hostel via Agoda.com website for 3-6 February.Due to special reasons, I could not enter the hostel on February 3, and in this case, I contacted the hostel officer and informed him that he would check in on February 4.Despite this, my reservation was canceled by the hostel just because I did not log in and the hostel officer said that if I make a new reservation with a higher price, I will only be able to stay at the hostel that way. What kind of customer satisfaction is it that I can't use a service that I have paid for in advance and that a higher fee is demanded again? So I had to stay in another hotel.If you don’t want to happen this to you never choose Stay Inn Taksim Hostel and should definitely stay away! Özel sebeplerden dolayı 3 Şubatta hostele giriş yapamadım ve bu durumu hostel görevlisi ile görüşerek 4 Şubatta giriş yapacağımı ilettim ve görevli tarafından hostele giriş bilgileri tarafıma iletildi. Fakat buna rağmen 4 Şubatta hostele gittiğimde otele giriş yapmadığım için hostel tarafından rezervasyonumun iptal edildiğini, konaklama ücretinin iade edemeyeceklerini ve yeniden daha yüksek ücretle rezervasyon yapılırsa ancak o şekilde konaklayabileceğim söylendi. Ücretini peşin olarak ödediğim bir hizmetten ertesi gün geleceğimi bildirdiğim halde faydalanamayıp bir de üstüne tekrar daha yüksek ücret talep edilmesi nasıl bir müşteri memnuniyetidir? Şehir dışından geldiğim için de başka otelde konaklamak durumunda kaldım. Bir an önce konaklamadığım halde onayım alınmadan hostel tarafından tek taraflı olarak iptal edilen rezervasyon ücretinin iade edilmesini ve oluşan mağduriyetin giderilmesini istiyorum. Bir daha asla Stay Inn Taksim Hostel'i tercih etmem ve kesinlikle uzak durulmalı!

فندق نظيف وخدمة الواي فاي ممتازة، ويقع في منطقة هادئة، وقريب جداً من أحد محطات القطار لخط (Marmaray line) ومن هذه المحطة تصل إلى المحطة التي تليها مباشرة وهي محطة (يونيكابي) وهي محطة رئيسية يمر بها ثلاث خطوط من شبكة القطارات، قريب من البحر وكورنيش (زيتون برنو) لممارسة رياضة المشي أو ركوب الدراجة الهوائية عن طريق خدمة الاستئجار الذاتي، ويوجد عدة مناطق لألعاب الأطفال في الكورنيش، العديد من البقالات قريبة من الفندق مسافة ١٠ دقائق مشياً على الأقدام وكذلك يوجد أوت لت مول قريب من الفندق بنفس المسافة.

Being first timers in a new place is such a challenge in finding that perfect place to stay that will make a good and long last impression to us. Luckily we were very relieved and made the right choice by booking Sultan Hamit Hotel right at the heart of Sultanahmet where the famouse Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque are just around the corner as well as the Blue waters of the Bosphorus strait is nearby. It is a bit far from the airport but the place itself is just utter beauty and less crowded than Taksim square and Galata Tower district so its all worth it!!! We took a cab from airport because our flight got delayed and checked-in around 5 pm. Check-in was fast and efficient and we were booked on 4F. The hotel is located at the corner of cobbled streets and has a romantic and relaxing ambience similar to that of Europe. There are short stairs leading up to the lobby and one of the staff helped us carry our things up to our room - good first impressions!!! The cute, warm, cozy lobby with a lovely Christmas tree on your left by the window beside an elegant brown sofa tops it all off - everytime I enter their lobby I feel relaxed and joyful - this is a great way to start our magical and happy experience here at Sultan Hamit!!! The room we booked is so huge and spacious and maintained the aesthetic beauty of Turkish designs. It has a Brown/Orche/White tones and has a lovely brown carpeted floor which is very relaxing. There is a huge toilet on your right and a view of the neighbourhood on the left. A bronze lounge sofa by the window is on the left with a small circular coffee table. Adjacent to the sofa is a huge wardrobe with compartments with a free Sleeping robes, Slippers, Extra Towels, a Safety box and Mini-fridge located here. Across this side of the room - we have a double bed, a single bed,and the most idyllic view of the Sea of Bosphorus which I loved every morning especially those soaring Sea Gulls and adoring Cats which are plentiful in Istanbul. The bed is so clean, comfy and smooth that we just loved lying down on it! and we slept very well!! I loved the Orche wallpaper with ornate and intricate Turkish style patterns. They also placed 3 super lovely abstract wall paintings. There are side tables on each side of the bed with power outlets. In front of our bed is their TV which has lots of local and cable channels and WiFi was quite fast. Airconditioning and heating is also easy to manage and use and kept us warmth on some cold winter nights. There is a bar table located on this side and they provided us complimentary tea/coffee/bottled waters and kettle/cups. I also loved their Golden framed mirrors attached on the wall beside the toilet. I also loved their cozy, warm, romantic Wall Lamps attached on each side of the room. The toilet and shower is also very clean and spacious. In Sultan Hamit, they have toilet bidets which is a big plus for me!!! They provided complimentary toiletries, hair dryers and the water pressure is strong exc

Close proximity to the airport Sabiha. But at the exit from the airport building poorly organized signs with the direction of the way to the hotel. While I was looking for the way to the hotel I made several unnecessary circles. In addition, You have to take two elevators to the fourth floor. Spacious clean room with stylish design. On arrival, it was sweltering hot in the room with the temperature 26,5 °C. Windows don't open. The air conditioner failed to adjust to a cool temperature. At most I managed to get the temperature down to 25.5 °C. In doing so, the conditioner made a lot of noise. This negative moment spoiled the impression, as it did not let me sleep well. Perhaps this problem (Malfunction of the air conditioning system) was only in my room. One more advantage - 24 hours room service. Convenient, in case of a late arrival. Overall, it was a pleasant experience also thanks to helpful friendly staff.

One of the best hotels in Istanbul. Amazing view and walking distance (5-7 minutes) to Nisantasi, cool location with many restaurants and shops. Spa, swimming pool (in/out), taxi station etc.

Staff very friendly and always willing to help. We enjoyed our short stay very much, the hotel is a lot cleaner and nicer then the previous reviews state, so please don’t be put off by them. The location is only really for people who need to be in that particular area, I wouldn’t recommend the location for anybody who wants to do extensive tourism without using taxis (unless you know how to use Istanbul metro).
