"The hotel is perfectly situated close to the Lixouri ferry and plenty of good restaurants. It’s also close to the Queen Bee, which I’d recommend for a boat trip. Breakfast can seem a bit overwhelming on the first day as more and more food keeps coming. But after that you can settle down and choose the things you like best, of which there will be plenty. As has been said many times before, the best thing about this outstanding hotel is the staff, all of whom without exception were really friendly and helpful I can’t believe that there’s a better place to stay on the island than here"

Celestial All Suites

"Beautiful hotel with a great swimming pool. Breakfast were very delicious and tasty. Both waitress were very polited. We spent 14 days in Haneymoon suite with private pool and great view. The spa massage were realy relaxing, so special thanks to wonderful Georgia. Also thanks to receptionist Mohamed who was always funny. We recomended this hotel."

Panorama Fanari Studios and Apartments

"We've just returned from our Kefalonia holiday. We stayed at Panorama Fanari and had a brilliant time. The place is located in a pleasant remote area away from any hustle and bustle. The room we had, had a balcony at each end so we could get the sunrise and sunset. Also if we opened both sets of sliding doors we could get a pleasant airflow through the room. The room itself, was spacious and had everything we needed. It also had a small kitchenette with helpful items left in the cupboards. The shower room was a bit small but adequate and had a decent walk in shower with a sliding door. The main balcony view was superb with the hotel gardens immediate, over the road and down the hill was land with olive trees. We could see the whole area across to the sea and nearby lighthouse in the distance. The best bit was the view across the bay where all the ferries were constantly crossing and the odd cruise ship passing through. The sunset view every evening was the best I've experienced anywhere. The carpark had plenty of spaces and many in the shade. I noticed an electrical charging point. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and a pleasant shower area. There was also a bar and seating area nearby which was staffed during daylight hours. The breakfast buffet was continental with plenty of variety. The staff were all friendly, helpful and spoke English. If there was anything we needed, they obliged. Also they were able to assist with car hire with a car arriving in the car park shortly after we enquired. The grounds were well kept and pleasant to walk around. There was a patio area with a large garden table and chairs and two comfortable swing seats in the shade of a large pear tree. We could have sat here all day watching the bay and all the bees and butterflies on the surrounding plants. There were several friendly cats who came to see us when we were walking in the grounds. The location was a little remote but not overly so. There are a few cove beaches within walking distance and the campsite Taverna. Argostoli was a pleasant 3km walk one way but shorter if you walk to the top of the hill, past the Italian memorial and down the other side. With a car you can get to Argostoli or Lassi in a few minutes. We had a lovely stay from not quite knowing what to expect on arrival. "

Hotel Oceanis

"Lovely hotel, comfy bed, good Aircon great breakfast, hospitable owners. WHY ONLY 3 OUT IF 5? For us though would not book this hotel again even though 3rd time in poros which we really like. Location and limited shuttle bus.. The shuttle although helpful is in our view quite limited with an 11am run down being first one and 10pm last back which is far too early. Anyway only our opinion, I appreciate will be ok for some. I should have researched better instead of going on my observations and reviews from couple of years ago."

Alley Boutique Hotel and Spa

"Nice hotel. Good position, near the shore and near entertainment/restaurants. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly Our room had an 'open' wardrobe - which was disappointing and no drawers or other storage other than shelves too high for my partner. Breakfast was a bit disappointing though it matches the pictures on their website so can't complain. The outdoor bar was closed and is much more gloomy than shown in the pictures"

Astra Village Hotel Suites

"This is my 2nd trip to Astra Village this year. I was here with my partner in July and stayed last week with two of my sons. This hotel is just wonderful. We were Half Board. The food was fabulous and well replenished, a great variety and with some lovely Greek traditional dishes too. The staff in Reception and throughout the hotel are really lovely and friendly, always willing to go out if there way to help. The rooms are cleaned daily and during the week replenished fresh linens and towels. Our room was overlooking their beautiful gardens and the sea. Loved my morning coffee on our terrace. The location is perfect, transfer from the airport is only 10 mins! Ammes beaches are just a short walk away, where we got to see baby hatchlings (turtles) making their first journey to the sea! What a wonderful experience!!! Watching the sunset from the hotel is something you can really look forward to each night too. Astra Village has the best views!! The bus stop is 4 mins walk from the hotel, so you can visit Al Helis beach or the lovely Argastoli if you want to venture out. We also loved watching the friendly cats and kittens play, a part of Greek heritage and an integral part of daily life in Greece. We had the most amazing holiday, thank you all so much again. What a perfect place :-). We will be booking for 2027 very soon and look forward to seeing you all again. Xx"
