"What an idyllic hotel!! We stayed for 2 nights in a lagoon side room with private pool. We simply cannot fault the attention to detail here. The staff are super friendly and always eager to make sure of every need. Big shout out to Thomas in the seafood restaurant and also to Harry on housekeeping for helping us to celebrate our wedding anniversary ❤️. The approach to the hotel is by boat, greeted by a musician and staff with refreshing drinks. High tea is delicious and also arrives by boat. The complementary sunset boat trip onto the lagoon is not to be missed. Our room was stunning, amazingly well- equipped and the pool totally private. Feels like we were treated to a little bit of heaven on earth !"

"We booked a hall at Contour Halls for 19 August 2026 and paid an advance of ₹10,000 on 10 June 2026. Due to unavoidable family circumstances, we had to reschedule the event to 17 August 2026 and informed the banquet in charge on 2 July 2026, which was about 45 days in advance. Unfortunately, the venue was not available on the new date. When we requested a refund of our advance, we were informed that the company has a "no refund" policy. What is disappointing is that this policy was never communicated to us during any discussion, nor is it mentioned on the receipt provided at the time of payment. I understand if a cancellation happens at the last minute, but in our case the date change was communicated well in advance. Transparency and clear communication are important aspects of customer service, especially for event bookings. Customers should be informed of any non-refundable terms before making payments. For me, this is not just about ₹10,000; it is about business ethics and fair treatment of customers. I would advise future customers to clearly obtain written confirmation of the cancellation and refund policy before paying any advance amount. God bless this group who needs money to survive."

"This hotel was an absolute disgrace. I wish I had done more research before as checking websites on our return it is not just us saying this recently. The hotel was scruff, badly (dangerously??) maintained. Our room was nothing like pictured. The "garden" contained an ancient noisy aircon unit that kept breaking down and I was told I had to reset the tripped fuse switch if it did go off, which I had to do in the middle of the night twice. In the end it broke down completely and we had to move rooms! The "outdoor" bathrooms are now completely enclosed to stop the flies but with no ventilation and a tin roof they were hot boxes... 45* plus... very uncomfortable. The reception area overlooked dirty, smell green ponds and the "fountains" were no better... a danger to health. I am enclosing a number of photos that I hope speak for themselves... filthy entrance to the rooms with old medication packets on the floor, dangerous paths, live wires on paths and pool chemical all over the pace, filthy unhygienic pool beds and bird poo all over the place.... horrendous, one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Our local driver did say he was surprised our tour organisers had put us in an Abad Hotel. Apparently they are known locally to be terrible and are known by locals as "A-Bad Hotels"! Tells you all you need to know"

"Definitely not a 4 star experience and it was very below average experience. I found the lobby and corridor areas not clean at all and there was some kind of stink all over. Their services such as room service take hours to get completed. Laundry service is also very slow. The pool was not clean and they beedtk work on that as well. The only good thing was the garden area withba good view and the garden area was also not maintained properly. I don't recommend this place. "

The resort was well-maintained, and the overall ambience was calm and refreshing. I truly enjoyed my time here and created some lovely memories. I would definitely recommend Kalathil Lake Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Looking forward to visiting again!"

The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the wide corridors made it easy to move around — especially appreciated from an accessibility perspective. Room 208 is an accessible room and very convenient for wheelchair users, with a roll-in shower area that was particularly helpful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. A special mention to Veena at the reception and James at the restaurant, who were both amazing and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. The food was very good, and the rooftop bar was excellent — a great place to relax in the evening. Food service was a little slow at times, but it was understandable, and the quality more than made up for it. Overall, a great experience — highly recommended!"
