Hotel terbaik di Lagoa

Booked a 3-night twin room to attend a friend's lecture in Lagoa. The hotel, or better, motel is excellent for those on wheels, not for those on foot. If you have disabilities find another town in the Algarve. Some sets of stairs do not have rails, you have to go round the entrance to physically 'get in'. The reception has only 1 staff member when off-season, be prepared and do it all online. Forget questions about taxis, transportation, and restaurant advice is really subjective. The room was very comfortable, the second door to a set of stairs (curled) with direct access to the car park/entry of the hotel area was not. Cold and humidity pass through the doors (front door leading to corridor inside as well), as doors need maintenance. Breakfast is good and varied, for all tastes, except gluten-free options. Internet signal very weak, had to use phone data package. Check-in is only at 4pm. Pro's. besides what I already mentioned: bus terminal 5 min walk, good restaurants each way 5 min walk (one is just next door), supermarket passing the roundabout, beds very comfortable. You can walk to the centre (10 min walk) but the town is without interest, unless you are there for an event, for those on foot, you can stay here and get to know other nearby cities in the Algarve by bus, as the terminal is so close, and it is not expensive to go around by bus.

My wife & I stayed at the Vale d’el Rei for 4 nights in early October. We visit the Algarve around twice a year and I have to say this is one of the best if not the best hotel we have stayed at in our many visits. First of all, the grounds the hotel sits in are extensive & immaculately kept. There are 2/3 pools, the main pool is salt water and heated during the colder months and is perfect for swimming in. There are enough sun beds, of good quality, to go round & we never once saw beds being reserved by the “crack of dawn brigade” Breakfast is served around the pool area & is a buffet style with plenty of good quality hot & cold options and all overseen by a very efficient & friendly staff who are constantly clearing, cleaning & replenishing food. A wonderful start to each day. We stayed in a suite, which was amazing value for money. It consisted of, an entrance area, a bathroom with overhead shower, a lounge with balcony off & a bedroom with a gigantic comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, double wardrobes with plenty of hangers and a safe that you didn’t have to pay extra to use. If there is a negative & I would have to search very hard for one, it’s that it’s a little remote. Although the hotel does provide a shuttle bus that runs into and from Carvoeiro several times a day. I would recommend you had a hire car which we always use when we visit the Algarve. This tiny negative would 1 million% not stop us visiting again & I have already enquired for our stay in 2024. Well done all at Vale d’el Rei, look forward to seeing you again next year.

Pestana was a bit hit and miss, your enjoyment of your stay all depends on what neighbors you get as the rooms are NOT in the slightest bit soundproof as advertised.  I would love to give 5 stars just based on the staff and the facilities for the price you pay but this is the least soundproof place we've ever stayed in and we've stayed at Ibis and Travel Lodge and even they didn't have paper thin walls. I'm quite annoyed at the false advertising of soundproof as that's what our booking was based on for a week and half of peaceful break. I understand the hotel can't control who checks in and where they stay and how noisy they are, however we would have avoided Pestana if we knew how thin the walls are. We also did not like having to pack and unpack 3 times but it's what we had to do to tey get good nights sleep to enjoy our holiday. Upon arrival we checked into G61, we could hear every step every person made up the stairs and along the top floor as  as every draw or door being closed. There is absolutely no privacy when sitting outside the lounge in the garden, the table next door is literally 1m away as well as their sun lounges. Due to noisy kids we asked to be moved.  Reception lady was freindly and pleasant and made every effort to move us, she gladly checked availability and got another room ready for us while we went for a hike. We then checked into 27. This house was also not soundproof whatsoever. We could hear the neighbors TV  but it was quieter as there were no kids constantly running up and down the stairs. However our peace was short lived as 2 days later our new neighbors came home every morning at 2am and made a noise till 4am and then woke up early too continuing with their noise. All we heard constantly was doors closing, showers running, loud steps, talking, constant whistling and you can even here them plugging things into the walls. So needless to say we were exhausted from the lack of sleep for days which made our stay unpleasant. We then moved a 2nd time to G67 which was the same block of terraced suits as the first one. Luckily our neighbors on either side were quiet but on one side they woke up at 6am every morning which meant we did too due to the lack of soundproofing. Basically if you're in your aparent you are subjected to constant banging from cupboards and doors, hearing every step made up m down stairs and the plugging in of appliances into the adjacent walls. All 3 rooms had pretty much the same layout with decent sea and garden views. There is quick easy access to the cliffs infront and a short walk to 2 beautiful beaches on either side of the resort, as well as a quick 2km walk down into town.  We didn't eat at the restaurant on site as we self catered and there are also many great restaurants in town and the best sushi takeaway in Lagoa. Intermarche supermarket is a 5 min drive away and had a great selection of everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Had a few maintenance issues in the 1 apartment,

The hotel is in a beatifull A+++ location. The food was vegetables, fish and usually one meat dish in the buffet. All good and natural taste with very little spices, salt and not spicy (no chilli nor garlic). Room good and clean but showing clear sign of wear and tear. Cleanliness good with towells chanhed every day which might be good to chance at need only for the enviroment, Some small things on payment system, charging or not gratuity and holding wine for next day allthough eveything solved without giving problems for us. Pool was not clean with leaves on the bottom and bird droping around it and on around 1/4 of all sunloungers/beds. Hmmmmmm… A reasonably good gym. Our second time and we might go again but hope they could freshnen up the place a little.

Just got back from a week here. We used it as a base for cycling which was ideal as the location was perfect to explore the area. There is an Intermarche 0.9 miles away. We had a 2 bed villa which was very spacious. Loved the separate lounge area and kitchen and of course a spare room. Yes it is dated and 1 of the beds was really noisy but was adequate for our needs. Villa Our villa faced the main road, which although seems small it was incredibly busy and we were disturbed every night, throughout the night by noisy traffic. There is a very small balcony area which didnt get the sun but the views were quite nice and you could see the sunrise. Food We were really disappointed, having stayed half board in many hotels of varying star ratings, this was by far the worst. Breakfast was childrens cereals (3 of), cold bacon, cold scrambled egg, toast, yoghurt, very watered down juices. Nice fruit salad, selection of cold meats and a cheese. It never changed. The evening meal was from a menu, hit and miss, most of the meat choices were tasteless and dry, the fish and lasagne were nice. I prefer a buffet style by choice. The waiting staff worked hard and were polite. Pool Outside pool was fantastic, plenty of sunbeds, large pool that didnt make your eyes sting or smell of chlorine. We didnt use the indoor pool. Wifi What wifi, there was none available in the villa and even when you went to the pool area or reception it was hit and miss. We needed it to upload our routes for the next day and it became an issue on occasion. There was no atmosphere at the hotel and I appreciate we came at the end of the season. I dont think we would stay here again sadly.

Quarto grande e silencioso mas os armários são velhos e as cortinas sujas e com partes emperradas. Varanda grande porém suja e precisa de uma atualização na pintura. Banheiro com bom espaço porém com cheiro forte que vem do ralo. O quarto é grande e seria bom ter um lixo adicional porque só tem no banheiro e na cozinha. A mini cozinha tem um bom frigobar mas os armários e pia são bem antigos, com cheiro forte. Senti falta de detergente e bucha na cozinha. Pelo nível do quarto justificaria ter uma Nespresso, seria muito bom. Ponto favorável são as toalhas de ótima qualidade tanto no quarto quanto na piscina. A área da piscina é linda, jardim bem cuidado e cadeiras top para deitar. O bar é interessante também mas não usei porque achei os preços um pouco caros. Café da manhã médio, sugiro suco de laranja fresco para melhorar e mais opções de pães. Jantamos um dia no hotel, não recomendo, é serviço de buffet e a comida não estava boa, foi caro. Melhor fazer as refeições fora.

Très bon accueil. Seul petit bémol, sur Trip nous avions reversé un appartement de 50m carré, mais une fois arrivé à l’hôtel nous nous somme retrouvé dans une chambre simple. Disons que le fait d’avoir une piscine privée pour les chambres simples à compensé ce désagrément. Sinon superbe hôtel avec un magnifique environnement.

THE NICEST HOTEL EVER!! I HAVE NO FAULTS AT ALL- IT WAS ALL PERFECT When I arrived I had no luggage due to it going missing at the airport and I wasn’t able to communicate at the airport as the language barrier. When I checked in I explained about my luggage they told me to enjoy my day and reassured me that they will help me get my luggage back the staff were so helpful and I felt reassured right away. The staff were so friendly and thoughtful they explained about the hotel what time breakfast was ect, we immediately felt so welcome. The room was as advertised it was massive and the bathroom was lovely there were coffee making facilities ect everything we needed for the perfect stay. The living area was so spacious with 2 sofas and the balcony with big too, the view was stunning everything I wanted and more you won’t be disappointed. The pool was really big and there was also a smaller pool if you wanted more a private swim with i children, plenty of sun loungers aswel and a really nice shop on site with everything in. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, they had lots of options for food and drink, we had breakfast included and the breakfast buffet was amazing with space indoors or outdoors to sit you can help yourself to anything there was such a verity. The dinners were amazing and loads to choose from on the menu the bar was always open and there was also such a verity of drinks with a standard price - the cocktails are lovely. The bar staff are lovely and so polite they make things as perfect as possible and are always checking in on you. All in all for the money payed for a week stay breakfast included there was no faults to pick at all we had a brilliant time and will be returning next year for sure, I’ve stayed a few places in Ferragudo but this was by far one of the best places, it’s in a great location with lots of restaurants,bars, shops ect on the square just a short walk from the hotel everything you need in just a short walk absolutely amazing, so if you want to venture out for a change you can with so many options. Absolutely perfect stay and I can not wait to return.

Absolutely beautiful. That’s the only way I can describe it. Took my boyfriend there as a birthday present. Staff absolutely lovely, so helpful and soo genuine. Rooms are gorgeous, we had a view straight on the bar/pool outside. Had our room cleaned daily spotlessly. No bad words to say. Affordable price as well. Had the staff notify us when our shuffle arrived. Everything was spot on. Hard to tell on the only picture I got off the view because it was dark, but just imagine that view when it was bright and sunny outside. Definitely recommend.
