"We had a good stay. The hotel is near in cianjin MRT station orange line 6 minnutes walk and formosa boulevard red line 9 minnutes walk. Best to stay if you’re taking commute to go around kaohsiung. The room is spacious, clean and tidy. Just a reminder to bring your own personal kit because only bodywash and shampoo are provided."
"Excellent location with MRT within 5mins walk. The staff is friendly and the room is clean. As we got the city family room , the toilet and bathroom layout is not convenient for mixed gender sharing the room."
"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests.
The location is convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the surrounding area. While there is still some room for improvement in certain areas, overall the experience was enjoyable and good value for money."
"Our room is on the 10th floor and it is big. Air Conditioner is working well, room is cool. Laundry on the 7th floor, very convenient. Bathroom is clean. Only draw back is when taking shower, the water flows out from the inside edge of the tub and the back wall edge and onto the floor, making the floor super wet. "
"Very friendly and approachable staffs, the hotel loves cation is very near with less than five minutes walking distance to Rui Feng night market. Excellent cleanliness and superb quality for vegan breakfast."
"The Hotel is located in the convenience transportation Location. Easy for traveling to other areas, close to the hotel also having fast food and convenience store. The hotel itself is clean you can leave the luggage before your check in. I like the common area next to the reception. It's nice and having snack and drink for Hotel guest. Quite impressive. If Having a chance will come back again."
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The check-in process was very fast and efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
I originally booked a double room, but to my surprise, I was given a complimentary upgrade to a quadruple room. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It even had two TVs, which was a nice bonus. The restroom was also large and featured a bathtub, making the stay even more comfortable.
Whenever I encountered any issues, the hotel staff responded promptly and resolved them efficiently.
The location is excellent—only about a 5-minute walk from Kaohsiung Main Station. There are plenty of convenient dining and shopping options nearby, including McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and 7-Eleven.
The breakfast was another highlight of the stay, offering a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes.
Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kaohsiung."
"My six-night stay at Airline Inn Kaohsiung Station yielded a predominantly positive experience, characterized by operational efficiency and a high standard of maintenance. The hotel’s primary advantage is its superb geographical positioning. Situated merely minutes from the Kaohsiung Main Station, it serves as an ideal nexus for those utilizing the MRT, TRA, or high-speed rail links.
The environmental sanitation is excellent. The premises are consistently clean. The front-of-house team is warm and professional.
A major benefit for long-term residents is the complimentary laundry service offered. In such a densely populated area, having this essential convenience available without extra charges is a valuable asset.
The breakfast offering, while understated, provides a fruitful synthesis of local ********* cuisines.
The primary longitudinal challenge during my stay was the internal sound attenuation. The current insulation between rooms allows for notable auditory bleed, which may detract from the experience of light sleepers. Enhancing the acoustic barriers would elevate this establishment from a high-quality inn to a premier boutique experience."
"佳!
I felt the experience was so good for me this time and I will book again if I come back to Kaohsiung. The location is convenient and the service attitude is very nice to me."

9.5/10
Cemerlang
RRJHL5Great location less than 20 minutes from KHH airport. It is within 8 minutes walking distance from SOGO for those who love to shop department stores.
There are 7-11s ( more than one!) Family Marts and a PX Mart (grocery store) along each road. Very convenient.
The drinks at 7-11 will be cheaper priced than Family Mart and PX Mart and sometimes they will have a BOGO on select items ( I got an extra baby wipe pack by sheer luck).
The Family Mart will have more unique items (ex Kombucha, health teas etc). The food selection for both places will be a bit limited for grab and go eats. Think sweet pastries and snacks. They do have some sandwiches but not super healthy if you are vegetarian.
The hotel has complementary breakfast that starts at 6:30am ends at 10am. It is a buffet the fills up the entire room. There is a wonderful mix of local foods, one Western style pot.
There is a small salad bar, fruit bar, coffee/tea and a small short order cook that will fry up 4 items (eggs, scallion onion omelette, turnip cakes). There is an other side has at least 10 varieties of local foods.
The quality is great! Not too oily, 2 congee pots ( regular and Hong Kong Style). Fruits include what is season (Guava, apples, watermelon) and oranges, bananas.
I will warn you about the late night snack (Dim Sum) buffet. Located on same floor and it starts at 7pm. That is a busy mad house. The line to queue up starts earlier and it will go down the hall to the stairwell.
Lots of tour buses come to this location and tour groups will flood in each week during season. I went during early April for 9 days.
I would go to breakfast at 8 am and skipped the nighttime crush. Restaurants are readily available all around and very affordable.
This hotel comes with complimentary laundry DIY and laundry powder soap. Make sure you write your room number on the dry erase placard and stick it on each machine you use. Otherwise another guest may accidentally throw their items in and use the machine. The dryers are on top so hard to see what’s on the bottom.
There is a free lounge in the lobby that has complimentary ice cream, coffee/tea and jasmine flavored gelatin cups. You can sit there all day if you like and sip on a free espresso or other drink.
This hotel comes with a lot of amenities at a reasonable rate— I will stay here again next time.
PPengguna Tanpa NamaIt’s a very local 4 stars the most, many more to be improved including customer services, waitressing and basic thing like the doorman. It’s tough to describe it giving one example, when we asked for steak(Fillet Mignon) cooked at medium rare, we got it medium. Asking for a key card as souvenir also got rejected, simple thing like placing plates without a big bang on breakfast table… however, I’ll still go stay there as it’s a pretty good 4 star local.
CChao HsiHotel Nikko Kaohsiung is a premier luxury hotel located in the Qianzhen District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Part of the renowned Okura Nikko Hotels group, it brings Japanese-inspired hospitality and modern sophistication to the city's burgeoning ”New Bay Area.”
Review Summary
The hotel is highly regarded for its seamless blend of Japanese service standards and contemporary design. It serves as a top choice for both business travelers and tourists looking for a refined stay near the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and major shopping districts.
Design & Atmosphere: The hotel features a sleek, modern aesthetic with subtle Japanese accents. The lobby and common areas are spacious and well-lit, providing a tranquil escape from the urban bustle. Reviewers often highlight the ”Omotenashi” (Japanese hospitality) provided by the attentive staff.
Room Quality: Accommodations are noted for being exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and tech-forward. Most rooms offer expansive floor-to-ceiling windows with views of either the city skyline or the harbor. Guests appreciate the high-quality linens, Toto washlets, and quiet soundproofing that ensures a restful night.
Dining & Facilities: The hotel offers a variety of high-end dining options, including authentic Japanese cuisine and a popular all-day dining buffet. The rooftop bar is a major highlight, offering panoramic views of the city. Additional amenities include a well-equipped fitness center and a rooftop swimming pool.
Location: Situated in a developing hub, the hotel is within walking distance of the Sanduo Shopping District MRT station. This makes it convenient for visiting the Kaohsiung Public Library, the MLC (Main Library), and various department stores, though some guests note it is slightly further from the traditional city center.
Overall Value: While priced at a premium compared to older hotels in the area, guests generally feel the superior service, facility quality, and modern comforts justify the cost, especially for those who appreciate Japanese brand standards.
Nnorris86Room is decent. Close to light rail station and nearby pier. But storage like safe for passport, or closet for hanging clothes, is lacking. Somehow there's lot of mosquitoes (though not biting) even I have kept the doors closed. My boy killed a dozen in a single evening (obviously I'm too old or too slow).
And I'm surprised that hotel can't provide utensil (like plate or fruit knife). I brought fruits back to hotel room in the evening... end up having to use bare hands.
PPengguna TetamuHotel is relative clean. Stayed in a single room with a semi double bed. Size is decent but didn’t realised it was behind the lifts, could hear the lift moving through out the day.
The shower head position is pretty bad. It’s not on an angle it’s pretty much like spraying directly into your body. It would be great if they could address this.
It’s 15 mins walk from the metro station so not closed.
Also there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Crawled out of the drain
MMomo&MeAs a solo traveler, this place is actually good. Its far from the MRT Sanduo Shopping District around 10 mins walk. There's also convenient store at the front of 85 Tower.
Staffs are really nice, they provide the full stuff of amenities & Toiletries such as hair dryer, coffee Tea, brush etc.
If I have the opportunity, I will difinitely stay here again.
TTravel ChilledI booked this hotel because of next day flight. However, this hotel still needs to be access by taxi.
Hotel is quiet, room is clean. 2 Water bottles are avb.
Theres no facilities avb in this hotel except breakfast and almost all day coffee/tea and chips/biscuits (forgot the exact time). Nevertheless, the breakfast is really below so so, all food is not warm at all and limited choices. We finally went to Starbucks across the street.
CCrabisgood888Overall the hotel was very nice. It was modern. The check in staff was very helpful and at least one person on staff always spoke English. Note that the staff at breakfast were super cute older ladies and they don't speak English.
Pros: Modern design. Newer hotel. Large beds (stayed in a standard quad room). The twin bed rooms were also bigger and nice. The shower was really great. It was super high pressure. Bidet for the toilet. Big bathrooms. You can turn on the vent and dry clothes that you hang to dry. The 13th floor area is nice with snacks through the afternoon and evening and coffee. They provide free sparkling water and regular water for the rooms. Very well designed with great storage since there wasn't much floor space.
Cons: Location wasn't really next to many food areas. There's a Starbucks. You have to walk around 5-10 min, which is fine, but it's not the usual vibes you would imagine having in Taiwan. Unlike Taipei, the city is a sleepy town. A lot of businesses are just randomly closed during work hours and regular business days. There is a 7-11. The night market nearby is small. The breakfast needs a little help. After 2 days, it's the same food over and over. We were there for 7nights, so you can imagine it was a bit tiresome. I hope they can provide more variety. Even the soup only changed once. So 6 breakfasts it was miso soup. 1 breakfast was a corn soup (good, but never came back). Another major con is the hotel has no direct email address, so you can't contact them directly. I had to speak with the Leisure group hotels via FB messenger. They never responded via the Line App.
We chose this hotel because it's newer and had the room arrangements that we needed for our group (12 rooms). Big buses can wait outside for you. You can't make much noise in this hotel. We got warnings every day and that was just when we were hanging out in the lobby waiting for the elevator.
Overall the hotel was good value and great for a soccer team since we had the 13th floor for our team meetings and for hanging out at night.
SSpizzico• room: simple room with mattress, 2 cloth rack on the wall and a bed table. Clean bedsheets. The floor in my room clearly was moped lightly time after time so that walking with my socks they turned black
• amenities: they have a nice common area with free hot and cold water dispenser. A warm hot tub to relax and laundry. Breakfast is not very inspiring with few options and not very tasty. Shared bathrooms and shower are ok and cleaned multiple times a day
• location: 5 min walking distance from train station, convenient if you have a short stay but far away from main store and touristic spots
• staff: they don’t say “no” so if you have a request just try their best to help. Very appreciated
my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement
PPengguna TetamuA perfect budget hotel! Honestly it has everything you need, and the staff are so lovely and helpful. The room was very clean too. Very reasonably priced for such a great service
