Lluv travelingI recently stayed at THE BLOSSOM Kumamoto and it was easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan.
The location is unbeatable — it’s directly connected to JR Kumamoto Station and sits above a shopping mall, which made everything incredibly convenient, from transport to dining and shopping.
The hotel itself feels very modern and well-designed. The lobby and common areas are spacious and stylish, and the rooms are surprisingly roomy by Japanese standards. Everything was spotless, and the layout (especially the separate shower and toilet areas) made the stay very comfortable.
One of the highlights was definitely the public bath (onsen). It’s clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day of exploring. The hotel also offers great facilities overall, and you can tell everything is still quite new and well maintained.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the service really added to the overall experience.
Overall, THE BLOSSOM Kumamoto is a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and modern design. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kumamoto.

Aanshimit was a very cute place!! the owner seemed like she loved the place very much, and was decorated very nicely. it’s a women’s only hostel, so i was glad that i was born a woman. i got one of the rooms - very clean, and the shred kitchen was nicely decorated. you can see the castle on the rooftop.

FFanfan travel hkGood location for shopping and dinning, right in the middle of Sun Road Shin Shigai.
The rooms are big for Japanese standard, breakfast is good but the only drawback is they have 3 sessions and you to to confirm the reception your breakfast time, I took the last session which was 08:45 -09:30. As for room cleaning you need to book before 08:00 the next day.
We booked the corner room and they gave us the room on 3rd with no views which was a bit disappointing.

PPengguna TetamuToyoko Inn Hotel was very conveniently located beside Kumamoto station. 2min walk to Amu Plaza shopping centre and tram station. Room was clean. Inclusive of breakfast every morning. Reception staff was friendly and helpful, assisted to store luggage after check-out.

PPengguna TetamuIt’s the first hotel that I’ve been to in Japan that had a normal check-in procedure through the receptionist rather than a machine, and you’re greeted upon entry. The location is so perfect and considering it’s right next to the train station, I didn’t hear a thing. Also the room for the price was very comfortable and spacious!

PPengguna TetamuNice cosy hotel. Very clean and easy to check in. Convenience store just across the road. 5 mins drive to a major shopping mall. Has a small stove to cook and kitchen. But really small and dark though.
Otherwise room is very cosy and fits four of us well. Bathroom is clean and nice. Washer in the room too.
I can jog to kumamoto castle which is nearby.
Great location and great hotel.

SslowslothThe stay was very comfortable and everything was great. The room was clean and convenient for a solo traveler like myself and I got some good rest. It was easy to access with trams passing in front of the hotel. I would stay again when visiting Kumamoto!

PPengguna Tetamu部屋は広々としていて、くつろげました。古さはありますが、清潔にされていて良かったです。
温泉も、熱い湯が好きな自分としては熱い所が小さかったのが気になりましたが空いていたので問題はありませんでした。温いお湯しかない所も多いので、あるだけプラスかなと思います。
アメニティーも充分でしたが、一つだけ悪い点としてスリッパが自分には合わず足の甲が痛くて苦痛でした。大浴場まで結構距離があるので、ここだけは改善してほしいなと思いました。もっと柔らかいものだと良いのかな？
それ以外は値段から見て大満足でした。また機会があれば行きたいですね。
