Hotel berhampiran Monumen Kanada Gapyeong, Gapyeong-gun

Former Australia soldiers of 3 RAR travelled to Kapyong, to commemorate the Battle of Kapyong 24 April 1951 (in 2025). This brilliant accommodation is located a 2 min stroll over the Gyeonggi-do river to the Australia & NZ memorial, where a friendly well equipped convenience store sits below it. The Host property was spotless, as picture online and well maintained. The owner aims to be non invasive (monitoring from Wi-Fi cameras on the outside of the property) and to protect it. He saw our struggles attempting to light fire on a cold night and quickly drove down to assist :). The lovely store holder closed up shop (when we tried to order food) to take us down to his local family restaurant (for authentic Korean food, which to tried to offer for free and we persistently and politely declined, fantastic local hospitality towards us and in general. The host then drove us back into the Gapeyoung Train station when we tried to order a Taxi. Fantastic experience and would stay here again and highly recommend it. We had an amazing time here! Three of us booked a tent for three people, it had bunk beds and a queen sized bed and slept us all very comfortably. You have a private bathroom and shower with additional bathrooms near the camp store. There’s a ton of fun snack and etc. to buy at the camp store and a ton of things you can use and take for free (only thing to note is you have to pay through bank transfer if the workers are not around). The owners were amazing and offered pick up and transportation to Seorak bus or train station. We papagoed any complicated communication but were able to talk mostly fine with our extremely limited Korean skills. Highly, highly recommend and I will definitely book here again!!

Let me start by saying I chose this hotel as it was close to the Canadian memorial and hill 677 where Canada put a fierce resistance during the Korean war. My father fought here and I wanted to see it. The hotel room was small, very clean, and comfortable. The most amazing thing was the couple that owed it. They were so helpful and offered to drive me to the memorial, get me taxis, provided me coffee and cookies. Their hospitality was far above the 5 star rating I can give. P.s. I'm in my 60's and made it up the hill, walking to the fighting positions. I has a wonderful time here. Great people, very nice stay. Thank you once again. Highly recommended.

We are a family from Germany and stayed for two nights. We were extremely happy with the accommodation – the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. We actually arrived one day earlier than booked, and he took great care of us, even inviting us for dinner! The cozy place was very well equipped – a large TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We truly appreciated the owner’s wonderful hospitality. Thank you so much again!

겉으로 보기엔 되게 옛날 숙박업소 같은 느낌이라 들어갈 때 여기만 제발 아니었으면 하고 바랬었는데요! 막상 들어가니까 내부 시설은 pc도 성능 괜찮고 침대나 분위기나 조명이나 굉장히 깨끗하고 모던한 방 느낌이었어요! 다음번에 근처 가게 되면 한 번 더 방문할 의사 있습니다!

Hotel anda 🏨 mempunyai lokasi yang strategik, pengangkutan yang sangat mudah dan membeli-belah yang sangat mudah di sekitar Myeongdong: makan dan membeli-belah adalah sangat menyeronokkan. Kakitangan perkhidmatan di meja depan sangat sopan... Saya mendaftar masuk ke bilik 2908, yang boleh melihat Menara Nanshan Buka pintu bilik: ia bersih, kemas dan selesa, dan pemandangan di luar tingkap terasa mewah berbaloi untuk tinggal lagi! I loved our stay in SS Resort. The hotel is very cozy, clean, and with a very nice view. Ms. Annie is very nice and helpful. Me and my family will come back in Gapyeoung in summer of 2026 and will stay again in SS Resort.

El self check in fue claro, las habitaciones estan bien si se busca dormir y nada mas. no son muy espaciosas pero cumplen su funcion. el espacio de la terraza y la planta baja con parrillas y mesas es muy lindo para pasar el rato. los baños es lo que se espera de un hostel, tambien cumplen pero no se puede pedir mucho mas. el dueño super amable y a disposicion. para ir con amigos o solo y pasar unos dias esta perfecto

The location was absolutely beautiful. I loved waking up to the lake view thru my big bay windows. The location owners were so accommodating and friendly. While they spoke very little English they tried really hard to communicate efficiently. The owner even drove me to nami island when I couldn’t get a cab and checked on me to make sure I made it home okay. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I will be back!!!

whilst the location is fabulous, the check in experience leaves very little to be desired for. upon arriving (after a long drive from Gyeongju), we could not find anyone at the property. We didnt know that the neighbours there were not part of the property so when we knocked on their door, they got a little annoyed at us, and that we were bothering them. We ended up having to call the numnber listed on the booking site, but the problem was that the person who picked up the phone couldnt speak any english - and i kept saying check in, and he kept saying 4pm. All i wanted for him to do was to show up in person to check us in, not tell me that check in time is 4pm, which I already know! he then hung up after trying to communicate with us. so we waited and waited and called and called and called, and then, when we were just to give up to find another place to stay, a lady turned up and asked my name. We then got checked in. the room was beautiful - it was a lot bigger than what we needed. there were no chairs in the room so my poor partners' back was in pain because he couldnt really sit on the floor. the floor was also very hot through the night so we couldnt really sleep as the heat came through the floor mattress.
