"We spent one night in the "smallest room in the Berkshires" and wish we had been able to stay longer. We arrived in the evening and checked out in the morning but got a comfortable and quiet night of sleep and enjoyed walking to get some breakfast before heading home. We hope to return when we have time for a proper visit to the area."

The bathroom is disappointing; door doesn't close well, walls are dirty and have holes, the bathtub was dirty and stained, the curtain, that apparently used to be white, is now yellow and had a big hole and the toilet seat kept sliding. Old , yellowish and stinky towels. Gave us short supplies, had to ask for more. In conclusion, I don't recommend this place at all. Go somewhere else"

"The hotel is quite old, the room facilities are outdated, and the cleanliness is average. The breakfast is also average, but it's considered relatively good for this small town, especially since we came during peak season and all the rooms were full. After checking in, we found that one bed's bedding wasn't made. The receptionist came several times to get the bedding, and then we had to make the bed ourselves. There's nothing we could do since there's no housekeeping staff on duty at night."

Our accommodations were spacious and lovely. And breakfast was delicious. Kudos to our hosts Jim and Doug! We are looking forward to returning."

"Excellent all around. We stayed in the L’Aubusson room, one of at least two rooms which were converted from 19th century schoolrooms. It was spacious, charming and had a special sense of place with the chalkboard running one side of the room and a large roll-up desk on the other. The inn is run smartly with unobtrusive service that is right there when you need it, but otherwise out of sight. Location was central to cultural activities, close to Lenox and an easy twenty minute drive to Stockbridge or Great Barrington. The Main Street of Lee is itself a treasure."

"If you are looking for a quintessentially charming stay in Lee, look no further than the Devonfield Inn. Our recent weekend stay was perfect. The hospitality provided by Doug and Jim was top-notch; they are friendly, attentive, and clearly care about their guests' experience. We loved the Saturday wine and cheese hour with live piano music; the sing-along atmosphere was so much fun! The breakfasts were a highlight—delicious, with great sweet and savory choices. They also provided a local tour map that really helped us make the most of our visit. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!"
